Generally, instrument transformer of the core type have been used for measuring current. Because instrument transformer has defects, electronic instrument was appeasred. This paper is introduced a basic concept and thoery of electronic instrument and described the the simulation of core type CT and no saturation CT. The evaluation of CT models implemented using EMTP(Electro Magnetic Transients Program) was carried out. The result of comparison both core type CT and no saturation CT are presented.
An inverter-driven induction motor is used as the traction motor for a high speed drive system that required safety, reliabillity, performance, compact size owing to the space and weight alloted for attaching to train, etc. particularly it is possible to happen the saturation effects of flux density at constant voltage-frequency region and then increase very higher than the at lowed capacity of no-load current and temperature in any case. therefore the optimum design of core, optimum voltage-frequency ratio, adoption of high grade magnetic core have been developed and researched for preventing these problems. this paper show the saturation effects of traction rotor by measuring the induced voltage of search coil at stator teeth and presents optimum voltage-frequency ratio as well as optimum core design through the comparison with efficiency, power factor, load current and no-load current for korea high speed train.

We have designed, fabricated and tested an integrated microfluidic chip with a Planar Hall Effect (PHE) sensor. The sensor was constructed by sequentially sputtering Ta/NiFe/Cu/NiFe/IrMn/Ta onto glass. The microfluidic channel was fabricated with poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS) using soft lithography. Magnetic nanoparticles suspended in hexadecane were used as ferrofluid, of which the saturation magnetisation was 3.4 emu/cc. Droplets of ferrofluid were generated in a T-junction of a microfluidic channel after hydrophilic modification of the PDMS. The size and interval of the droplets were regulated by pressure on the ferrofluid channel inlet. The PHE sensor detected the flowing droplets of ferrofluid, as expected from simulation results. The shape of the signal was dependent on both the distance of the magnetic droplet from the sensor and the droplet length. The sensor was able to detect a magnetic moment of $2{\times}10^{-10}$ emu at a distance of 10 ${\mu}m$. This study provides an enhanced understanding of the magnetic parameters of ferrofluid in a microfluidic channel using a PHE sensor and will be used for a sample inlet module inside of integrated magnetic lab-on-a-chip systems for the analysis of biomolecules.
$Cr_2O_3$ nanoparticles were prepared via one-step reactive laser ablation of Cr in oxygen. The metastable $CrO_2$ phase was obtained through the subsequent oxidation of $Cr_2O_3$ nanoparticles under $O_2$ with gas pressures of up to 40 MPa. The as-prepared $Cr_2O_3$ nanoparticles are spherical or rectangular in shape with sizes ranging from 20 nm to 50 nm. High oxygen pressure annealing is effective in producing meta-stable $CrO_2$ from as-dried $Cr_2O_3$ nanoparticles, and the $Cr_2O_3$ nanoparticles exhibit a weak ferromagnetic behavior with an exchange bias of up to 11 mT that can be ascribed to the interfacial exchange coupling between uncompensated surface spins and the antiferromagnetic core. The $Cr_2O_3/CrO_2$ nanoparticles exhibit an enhanced saturation magnetization and a reduced exchange bias with an increasing faction of $CrO_2$ due to the elimination of uncompensated surface spins over the $Cr_2O_3$ nanoparticles when exposed to a high pressure of $O_2$ and/or possible phase segregation that results in a smaller grain size for both $Cr_2O_3$ and $CrO_2$.
New results of dependence of magnetic field, trapped by a stack of HTS tapes, on amount of tapes in a stack are reported. Commercial GdBCO tape 12 mm width and without Cu layer was used for the research. Tape was divided in square pieces $12{\times}12mm^2$ from which stacks were formed. Filling factor of the tape was about 1.4%. Measurements were carried out for stacks with height from 5 to 250 pieces and at wide temperature range from liquid helium to liquid nitrogen. Both FC (field cooling) and ZFC (zero field cooling) cooling methods were used in the research. These two methods show matching results with good accuracy. As a result dependences of trapped magnetic flux on amount of tapes for different temperatures were received. Research shows, that with increasing height of the stack trapped magnetic field value reach saturation at about 60 tapes in a stack for low temperatures. From 60 to 100 tapes increase of magnet flux is only 5%. Thus increase amount of tapes in a stack is not profitable. Also investigation of trapped magnet field relaxation was carried out. Relaxation speed decreases with increasing amount of elements. It means that the higher the stack is, the longer trapped flux will be held in cause of the same temperature.
To investigate whether the use of hard magnetic film is available to generate bias magnetic field for a magnetoimpedance sensor, the magnetic properties of SmCo hard magnetic films were investigated as a function of their compositions. The saturation magnetization decreased with Sm content increasing in SmCo films. And, the coercive force increased in the extent of Sm content of 28 at%, but decreased as Sm content increased moreover. The bias field effect of SmCo film to amorphous CoZrNb film was investigated with the magnetization corves, permeabilities, and magnetic domain structures of SmCo/CoZrNb multilayers. The bias field of about 60 Oe was observed in the film with 3 mm ${\times}$ 0.5 mm, which can be constructed as a MI sensor, and this result strongly indicates that the bias field generated from a hard magnetic film is adequate to enhance the sensitivity of a MI sensor with hard/soft magnetic multilayer structure.

A novel biguanide-functionalized $Fe_3O_4/SiO_2$ magnetite nanoparticle with a core-shell structure was developed for utilization as a heterogeneous organosuperbase in chemical transformations. The structural, surface, and magnetic characteristics of the nanosized catalyst were investigated by various techniques such as transmission electron microscopy (TEM), powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), vibrating sample magnetometry (VSM), elemental analyzer (EA), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), $N_2$ adsorption-desorption (BET and BJH) and FT-IR. The biguanide-functionalized $Fe_3O_4/SiO_2$ nanoparticles showed a superpara-magnetic property with a saturation magnetization value of 46.7 emu/g, indicating great potential for application in magnetically separation technologies. In application point of view, the prepared catalyst was found to act as an efficient recoverable nanocatalyst in nitroaldol and domino Knoevenagel condensation/Michael addition/cyclization reactions in aqueous media under mild condition. Additionally, the catalyst was reused six times without significant degradation in catalytic activity and performance.

In this study the (Alnico, Sm-Co) bonded magnets were fabricated by mixing the Sm-Co added alnico alloy powders with epoxy resin and binder, appropriately. Also, the hybrid ring magnets of (Alnico, Sm-Co)/Sr-ferrite were fabricated by coupling the Sr-ferrite composite layer with an (Alnico, Sm-Co) magnet. The magnetic properties of (Alnico, Sm-Co) ring magnets were varied with the amount of Sm-Co powders. The addition of Sm-Co powders increased a remanent induction($B_r$) and coercive force($_BH_C$), while decreasing a surface flux density and repulsive distance. The surface flux density and repulsive distance for the (Alnico, Sm-Co) ring magnet increased with a magnetizing voltage up to about 160 V and reached an apparent saturation point. Also, the measurements of temperature and moisture characteristics showed that the surface flux densities of N-S poles and repulsive distance decreased a little within 4% after 10 days passed.
3-D shape soft magnetic composite parts can be formed by general compaction method of powder metallurgy. In this study, the results on the high density nanostructured Fe-Si/Fe composite prepared by a warm compaction method were presented. Ball-milled Fe-25 wt.%Si powder, pure Fe powder and Si-polymer were mixed and then the powder mixture was compacted at various temperatures and pressures. Pore free density of samples up to 95% theoretical value has been obtained. The warm compacted sample prepared at 650 MPa and 240$^{\circ}C$ had highest compaction properties in comparison with other compacts prepared at 300, 400 MPa and room temperature and 120$^{\circ}C$. The magnetic properties such as core loss, magnetization saturation and coercivity were measured by B-H curve analyzer and vibration sample magnetometer.
Fe50Cr50 metastable alloys were prepared by the mechanical alloying method with milling periods of 1, 2, 4, 6, 12 and 24 hours, respectively. The structural evolution was analyzed by the extended x-ray absorption fine structure (EXAFS). In this work, the EXAFS analysis provided the local structural information around Fe central atom. The saturation magnetization was also measured by VSM. The magnetization decreased as the process mechanical alloying progressed. The magnetic property was related to the local structural variation as a function of processing time. The analysis showed that the diffusion Cr atoms into Fe clusters caused the reduction of magnetization. EXAFS analysis exhibited that the local ordering of magnetic atoms caused the magnetic ordering. Also, EXAFS analysis showed that the long range order of Fe atoms was destroyed completely in 24 hour milling.
