  • Magnetic levitation railway is being developed as an advanced ground transport system which is high speed and has less environmental pollution. In this paper, the effectiveness of the proposed controller is proved by a vehicle body's curvature running characteristics. We select two types of transition curves for investigation, namely clothoid and sine.

  • 일반적으로 슬라이딩모드 제어는 강인한 특성을 가지나, 시스템 제어의 설계자는 외란이나 변수변화에 대한 최대 값을 알아야 한다. 그러나, 이와 같은 최대 값은 종종 쉽게 구할 수가 없다. 이에 반해 퍼지제어는 불확실한 외란이나 변수변화를 가지는 시스템의 제어기를 설계하는 효과적인 방법을 제시하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이 두 가지 제어이론의 장점을 결합하여 자기부상시스템에 적용할 고성능의 제어기를 설계하고자 한다.

  • 자기 부유기는 전자력을 이용해서 자성 재료를 공중에 떠있게 할 수 있는 장치이다. 자기 부유기는 근본적으로 비선형이며 불안정한 시스템으로서 제어에 많은 어려움이 따른다. 본 논문에서는 비선형 시스템을 국부적으로 선형화해서 모델링하고, 위치가변제어를 수행할 수 있도록 비례미분 위치제어기를 설계하였다. 시뮬레이션과 DSP를 이용한 자기부유기 제작 및 실험으로 위치제어 응답성능을 검증하였다.

  • This paper is presented about the development of magnetic levitation conveyor with a transverse flux linear synchronous motor (TFLSM). The TFLSM is proposed as the new type linear motor for the conveyor driving system. The flux density distribution. the thrust and etc. of TFLSM are analyzed by the finite element method. To analyze the dynamic characteristics of TFLSM, the parameter of equivalent circuit is calculated by the analytical method.

  • Applications of superconducting technology in transportation is more straightforward than others, such as magnetic levitation (maglev) trains. A maglev train is of high speed & low power-consumption, environmental friendly and safe, accompanied by some drawbacks. This article will introduce the application of superconducting technology in the urban mass transport system, and the bottleneck of this application.

  • In this paper, we propose a method to obtain a linear characteristic using soft computing for systems which have array sensors of nonlinear characteristics. Also a procedure utilizing the pattern information of array sensors without additional sensors is proposed to reduce disturbance effects. For a typical example, even a single CdS cell for CdS array has nonlinear characteristics. Overall linear characteristic for CdS array is obtained using fuzzy logic for each cell and overlapped portion. In addition, further improvement for linearization is obtained applying genetic algorithms for the parameters of membership functions. Also the effect of disturbing external light changes to the CdS array can be reduced without using any additional sensors for calibration. The proposed method based on fuzzy logic shows improvements for position measurements and disturbance reduction to external light changes due to the fuzziness of the shadow boundary as well as the inherent nonlinearity of the CdS array. This improvement is shown by applying the proposed method to the ball position measurements of a magnetic levitation system.

  • The rotating electrodynamic wheels can produce three-axial forces on the conductive target. The forces are linked strongly each other, and their magnitudes depend on the rotating speed of the wheel. However, the wheels can be used effectively as an actuating principle for transfer system of conductive material. The conductive material is a pipe with a constant cross-section or a conductive plate. In this paper, a few applications using the electrodynamic wheels as transferring means are introduced including the full description of the real hardware implementation.

  • The existing problems of the Electro-Magnetic Suspension system such as air-gap disturbance, mass variation and actuator/sensor failure are described in amore specific manner. General active filter has a bad influence on suspension stability. Kalman Filter is based on statistical parameter. Thus, in this paper, It is shown that filtering performance of Kalman Filter and Active filter is excellent with simulation and experiment, stability analyze for air-gap disturbance.
