Geographical and Equipment Modeling for 3D Excavation Simulation

  • Excavation for construction is implemented in natural geographical terrain using a variety of construction equipment. Therefore, 3D excavation simulation requires integration of geographical and equipment modeling. This paper proposes a technique that integrates geographical and equipment modeling for 3D simulations of construction excavation. The geographical model uses a digital map to show ground surface changes during excavation and the equipment model shows equipment movement and placement. This combination produced a state of the art 3D simulation environment that can be used for machine guidance. An equipment operator can use the 3D excavation simulation to help construction equipment operators with decisions during excavation work and consequently improve productivity.

재난재해 현장의 지형인지를 위한 통합 센서 모듈 개발 (Development of an Integrated Sensor Module for Terrain Recognition at Disaster Sites)

  • A special purpose machine with two manipulators and quadruped crawler system is being developed to work at disaster sites where it is intended to quickly respond in the initial stages after the event. In this study, a terrain recognition module is developed so that the above special purpose machine can quickly obtain ground information to help choose its path while recognizing objects in its way, this is intended to enhance the remote driver's limited situational awareness. Terrain recognition modules were developed for two tasks (real-time path guidance, precision terrain measurements). The real-time path guidance analyzes terrain and obstacles while moving, while the precision terrain measurement feature provides more accurate terrain information by precisely measuring the ground in front of the vehicle while stationary. In this study, an air-cooled sensor protection module was developed so that the terrain recognition module can continue its vital tasks in the event of exposure to foreign substances, including scattered dust, mist and rainfall, as well as high temperatures.

스마트시티 건설현장에 활용된 머신 가이던스 시스템의 실무 활용사례 분석 및 개선방안 제시 (Analysis of Practical Use Cases and Proposal for Improvements of Machine Guidance System Utilized in Smart City Construction Projects)

  • 본 연구는 국내 최초 스마트시티로 지정된 건설 현장에 적용된 스마트건설장비의 효과를 분석하여 향후 스마트건설장비의 발전 및 활성화 방안을 도출하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 토목공사 현장에 적용되는 대표적 스마트건설장비인 머신가이던스(Machine Guidance; MG)기술에 의한 안전시스템과 시공시스템의 실제적 활용 효과와 문제점을 분석한 후에 개선방안을 제시하였다. MG안전시스템과 MG시공시스템 모두 결과적으로 시공성 개선에 충분히 활용성이 있음을 파악하였고, MG시스템에 의한 작업결과의 승인문제와 잦은 현장 장비교체에 의한 시스템 변경문제, 고령의 현장 근로자의 사용성 개선문제 등이 속히 해소해야 할 과제로 분석되었으며, 연구에서는 이러한 문제에 대해 현장에서 해결한 일부 방안을 제시하였다. 연구에서 제시한 활용효과와 문제점 등은 머신가이던스기술을 현장에 상당기간 실제로 적용한 후에 직접 활용한 근로자와 관리자 등을 통하여 분석하였으므로, 장비자동화를 위한 실증적 분석 자료가 많지 않은 점에서 향후 유사 현장에 적용하기 위한 선행자료로 활용성을 갖을 수 있다.

길안내 시스템에서의 영상처리와 칼만필터 이용한 물체추적 (Tracking of an Object using Image Processing and Kalman Filter on the Guidance System)

  • The purpose of this paper is to implement a guidance system for an object on the road. A watch camera equipped on the auto door recognizes the direction for the destination of an object, after that it determines whether opening or closing the door, and then the door is opened automatically, based on the decision. The motion of the moving object is approximated by using the technique of the image processing of tracking images and the affine model. The direction of the moving object is predicted from image information obtained by applying linear Kalman filter to the motion estimation in order to reduce the search region, the moving position, and the direction of the center of the object. Along with the guidance function, the system has the announcing function to the object. The experimental results confirm the veridity and applicability of the proposed system.

  • This paper proposes an optimal dynamic resource allocation method in IoT (Internet of Things) parking guidance system using Q-learning resource allocation model. In the proposed method, a resource allocation using a forecasting model based on Q-learning is employed for optimal utilization of parking guidance system. To demonstrate efficiency and availability of the proposed method, it is verified by computer simulation and practical testbed. Through simulation results, this paper proves that the proposed method can enhance total throughput, decrease penalty fee issued by SLA (Service Level Agreement) and reduce response time with the dynamic number of users.

  • 본 연구는 알루미늄 단조 라인의 가열로 컨베이어에 적용된 6관절 이송용 로봇에 Machine Vision System을 구축 한 것으로 이송용 로봇이 작업 대상물을 적재하기 위한 위치정보를 획득하고 재처리하여 로봇 컨트롤러에 제공하는 비주얼가이던스 기법을 연구하여 이를 적용하였다. 적용된 Machine Vision System이 실제 구동에 있어서 안정함을 확인하였다. Machine Vision System에 적용된 CCD 센서로는 Sony사의 XC-HR50이 적용되었으며 Frame Grabber는 Matrox Meter II 카드가 적용되었다. Machine Vision System 제어기로는 범용PC(2.4Ghz, Windows 2000)를 사용하였으며 제어Software는 Microsoft 사의 Visual Basic 6.0 version을 사용하였다.

  • This system is unionized form about GPS and a pocket game machine. This game machine of the use only for the game with an existing system but the function of various purposes which carries out service relevant to a user's position information. This system have the game function, the function to offer space guidance service by the theme interlocked with a user's position, and the traffic safety education function.

DGPS와 기계시각을 이용한 자율주행 콤바인의 개발 (Development of Autonomous Combine Using DGPS and Machine Vision)

  • A navigation system was developed for autonomous guidance of a combine. It consisted of a DGPS, a machine vision system, a gyro sensor and an ultrasonic sensor. For an autonomous operation of the combine, target points were determined at first. Secondly, heading angle and offset were calculated by comparing current positions obtained from the DGPS with the target points. Thirdly, the fuzzy controller decided steering angle by the fuzzy inference that took 3 inputs of heading angle, offset and distance to the bank around the rice field. Finally, the hydraulic system was actuated for the combine steering. In the case of the misbehavior of the DGPS, the machine vision system found the desired travel path. In this way, the combine traveled straight paths to the traget point and then turned to the next target point. The gyro sensor was used to check the turning angle. The autonomous combine traveled within 31.11cm deviation(RMS) on the straight paths and harvested up to 96% of the whole rice field. The field experiments proved a possibility of autonomous harvesting. Improvement of the DGPS accuracy should be studied further by compensation variations of combines attitude due to unevenness of the rice field.

오픈소스 기반 안면마스크 착용 모니터링 시스템 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of Facial Mask Wearing Monitoring System based on Open Source)

  • 코로나바이러스-19는 전 세계에서 확진자가 폭증하고 있으며 수많은 사망자를 발생시켰다. 마스크 착용은 감염예방에 매우 중요하다. 버스, 지하철 등 공공장소에서 마스크 착용 권유로 인한 사건·사고가 발생하고 있으며 심각한 사회문제로 대두되고 있다. 이런 문제점을 해결하기 위해서 본 논문에서는 오픈소스 기반 안면 마스크 착용 모니터링 시스템을 제안한다. 오픈소스 소프트웨어인 웹기반 인공지능 툴 티처블머신과 오픈소스 하드웨어 아두이노를 사용하였다. 마스크 착용여부를 판단하여 안내 메시지 및 알람 등 명령을 수행한다. 티처블머신의 학습파라미터 학습횟수 50, 배치크기 32, 학습률 0.001의 최적의 값으로 학습을 하여 정확성 1, 학습오차는 0.03의 결과 값을 얻었다. 웹기반 인공지능 툴 티처블머신과 아두이노를 이용하여 마스크 착용여부를 판단하여 안내 메시지 및 알람 등 명령을 수행할 수 있는 마스크착용 모니터링 시스템을 설계 및 구현하여 타당성을 입증하였다.

Inverted RTK system and its applications in Japan

  • The Real Time Kinematic (RTK) technique is the most productive and accurate GPS positioning method today, as it can be determinate position within few centimeters instantly. This method is widely used for applications such as surveying, structure monitoring and machine guidance etc. In order to perform RTK processing for large scale systems (i.e. precise vehicle monitoring with many rovers), many expensive RTK receivers and same number of bidirectional communication units have to be installed to collect observation data communicate with the reference site and monitor its RTK solutions. Moreover, if applications require remote control or apply sensing instruments, we have to install computers at each rover. To limit expense and complexity of system management with a large number of rovers, we have developed server based RTK processing platform to share RTK function for all rovers. The system can be process many GPS stations with a single personal computer. we have also developed a specialized dual frequency GPS receiver unit without on-board RTK processing capability to reduce receiver cost in order to demonstrate the advantage of our server based RTK platform. This paper describes the concept of our server based RTK platform and specialized GPS receiver unit with existing applications in Japan.
