공통변환 기반 다국어 자동번역을 위한 언어학적 모델링 (Linguistic Modeling for Multilingual Machine Translation based on Common Transfer)

  • Multilingual machine translation means the machine translation that is for more than two languages. Common transfer means the transfer in which we can reuse the transfer rules among similar languages according to linguistic typology. Therefore, the multilingual machine translation based on common transfer is the multilingual machine translation that can share the transfer rules among languages with similar linguistic typology. This paper describes the linguistic modeling for multilingual machine translation based on common transfer under development. This linguistic modeling consists of the linguistic devices such as 1) multilingual common Part-of-Speech set, 2) multilingual common transfer format, 3) multilingual common transfer chunking, and 4) multilingual common transfer rules based on linguistic typology. Validity of this linguistic modeling for multilingual machine translation is shown in the simulation. The multilingual machine translation system based on common transfer including Korean, English, Chinese, Spanish, and French will be developed till 2018.

5축 CNC 공작기계의 오차합성모델링 및 보정 알고리즘 (Error Synthesis Modeling and Compensation Algorithm of a 5-Axis CNC Machine Tool)

  • A 5-axis CNC machine tool is more useful compared with a 3-axis machine tool, because the position and the orientation of a tool tip can be controlled simultaneously. Unlike the 3-axis machine tool, the 5-axis machine tool has the volumetric position error and volumetric orientation error due to the quasi-static error of each machine tool joint which is a major source of machined part error. So, the generalized error synthesis model of the 5-axis CNC machine tool was developed to predict and to compensate for the volumetric position error and the volumetric orientation error. It was proposed that a compensation algorithm to correct simultaneously the volumetric position error and the volumetric orientation error of the 5-axis CNC machine by error inverse kinematic.

안드로이드 스마트폰 기반 이동형 피칭 머신의 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of the Pitching Machine with Mobility using the Android Smartphone)

  • Pitching machines have been around for many years for casual amusement purpose or professional athletes' training usage, and so forth. The current pitching machines are usually built on the firm ground and do not have any mobility function. In this paper, we develop a pitching machine that has both ball-shooting and mobility functions. Our developed pitching machine consists of two parts. The upper body part has a function of shooting a ball using two DC motors and the lower body part has a function of mobility like mobile robots by using two wheels governed by DC motors. All these functions are operated wirelessly by Android smartphones via bluetooth. The control of each DC motor is done by ${\epsilon}$-PID control method in which the gain tuning is simplied by using a single parameter ${\epsilon}$. Simulation and actual experiment show that our developed pitching machine has both nontrivial shooting and mobility features.

  • In general, cellular manufacturing system can be constructed by the following two steps. The first step forms machine cells and part families, and the second step determines cell layout based on the result of first step. Cell layout has to be considered when cell is formed becauese the result of cell formation affects it. This paper presents a cell formation algorithm and proposes an integrated mathematical model for cell formation and cell layout. The cell formation algorithm minimizes the number of exceptional element in cellular manufacturing system. New concept for similarity and incapability is introduced, based on machine-operation incidence matrix and part-operation incidence matrix. One is similarity between the machines, the other is similarity between preliminary machine cells and machines. The incapability identifies relations between machine cells and parts. In this procedure, only parts without an exceptional element are assigned to machine cell. Bottleneck parts are considered with cell layout design in an integrated mathematical model. The integrated mathematical model determines cell layout and assigns bottleneck parts to minimize the number of exceptional element and intercell moving distance, based on linearixed 0-1 integer programming. The proposed algorithm is illustrated by using numerical examples.

공작기계의 서보제어와 입력성형기법 (Input Shaping for Servo Control of Machine Tools)

  • Servo control loops are a core part in the control architecture of machine tools. Servo control loops manage acceleration, velocity and position of all the axes in a machine tool based on commands. The performance of servo control loops sets the basis for quality of production paris and cycle time reduction. First, this paper presents a general control architecture of machine tools and several control schemes in literature, which can be applicable to machine tools control; including Zero Phase Error Tracking Control (ZPETC) and Cross Coupling Control (CCC). After that, modem control strategies to mitigate the problem of high speed machining are reviewed. In high speed machining, high accelerations excite the machine structure up to high frequencies, thereby exciting the structure's modes of vibration. These structural vibrations need to be damped if accurate positioning or trajectory following is required. Input shaping is an attractive option in dealing with structural vibrations. The advantages and drawbacks of using input shaping technique for machine tools are discussed in detail.

  • The design process of machine tools is regarded as a sequential, discrete, and inefficient works as it requires various kinds of design tools and many working hours. This paper describes an integrated design system embedding a design methodology that can support efficiently and systematically the conceptual structural design of machine tools. The system is a knowledge-based design system and has four machine-tool-specific functional modules including configuration design, configuration analysis, structure design, and structural analysis support module. Through the configuration design and analysis module, a machine configuration appropriate for design requirements is selected, and then the arrangement of ribs fer each structural part is decided in the structure design module. Also, the structural analysis support module is used to evaluate design result by utilizing structural analysis software, ANSYS. The system is applied to design of a tapping machine, and shows that the machine structure can be designed fast and conveniently by processing each design step interactively.

  • In this paper, the welding machine with high-frequency inverter is described, which can save energy more than conventional ones with low efficiency. Although for part of welding machine of special type such as MIG, TIG, products were developed by inverter, but it is poor that applied to ordinary ac arc welding machine. Difference between conventional AC arc welding machine and the proposed welding machine is investigated econimically and constructionally. Untill now, kinds of welding machine and its characteristics were also described. The comparison of the proposed welding machine and the conventional is presented in the way of output control.

자동차 크랭크샤프트 멀티 연삭시스템의 구조해석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Structural Analysis of Automotive Crankshaft Multi Grinding Machine)

  • A Crankshaft multi grinding machine is developed for manufacturing of high precision crankshaft. The grinding head part of the developed machine should be moved precisely during grinding of work materials. In this paper, structural and modal analysis for the crankshaft multi grinding machine is carried out to check the design criteria of the machine. The analysis is carried out by FEM simulation using the commercial software. The machine is modeled by placing proper shell and solid finite elements. The results of structural and modal analysis confirmed that the structural characteristics of grinding machine and the structural safety are considered secure.

기계학습 기반의 인포그래픽 자동 추천 시스템 (Automated infographic recommendation system based on machine learning)

  • 본 논문에서는 기존의 인포그래픽 제작방식을 개선하기 위하여 기계학습 기반의 인포그래픽 자동 추천 시스템을 제안하였다. 이 시스템은 복수의 인포그래픽 이미지를 기계학습하는 부분과 사용자의 기초자료 입력만으로 인포그래픽을 인공지능으로 자동 추천하는 부분으로 구성된다. 추천된 인포그랙픽은 라이브러리 형태로 제공되고, 드래그 & 드롭방식으로 추가적인 자료의 입력이 가능하게 된다. 또한, 입력한 자료의 크기에 따라 인포그래픽 이미지가 동적으로 조절되도록 설계하였다. 기계학습 기반의 인포그래픽 자동 추천 과정을 분석한 결과 레이아웃과 키워드에 대한 일치 성공율은 매우 높고, 타입에 대한 일치 성공률은 다소 낮게 나타났다. 추후 인포그래픽 부분별 이미지 타입에 대한 일치 성공률을 향상시키기 위한 연구가 필요할 것이다.

  • ISO 14649 (data model for STEP-NC) is a new interface scheme or language for CAD-CAM-CNC chain under established by ISO TC184 SCI. Up to this point, the new language is mainly made for milling and turning, and other processes such as EDM will be completed in the future. Upon completion, it will be used as the international standard language for e-manufacturing paradigm by replacing the old machine-level language, so called M&G code used since 1950's. With the rich information contents included in the new language, various intelligent functions can be made by the CNC as the CNC knows what-to-make and how-to-make. In particular, On-Machine Inspection required for quality assurance in the machine level, can be done based on the information of feature­based tolerance graph. Previously, On-Machine inspection has been investigated mainly for milling operation, and only a few researches were made for turning operation without addressing the data model. In this thesis, we present a feature-based on-machine inspection process by the 4 Tasks: 1) proposing a new schema for STEP-NC data model, 2) converting the conventional tolerance scheme into that of STEP-NC, 3) modifying the tolerance graph such that the tolerance can be effectively measured by the touch probe on the machine, and 4) generating collision-free tool path for actual measurement. Task 1 is required for the incorporation of the presented method in the ISO 14649, whose current version does not much include the detailed schema for tolerance. Based on the presented schema, the tolerance represented in the conventional drafting can be changed to that of STEP-NC (Task 2). A special emphasis was given to Task 3 to make the represented tolerance accurately measurable by the touch probe on the machine even if the part setup is changed. Finally, Task 4 is converting the result of Task into the motion of touch probe. The developed schema and algorithms were illustrated by several examples including that of ISO 14649 Part 12.
