To build a flexible network than traditional transport network, the carrier ethernet technology is emerging in network industry recently and MPLS-TP technologies are being applied as a major standard technology for the carrier ethernet. However, network management technologies required to handle equipment installed in MPLS-TP network are not clear. This paper propose an efficient method to build a management network automatically without any additional configuration when network equipments are installed in MPLS-TP network. The proposed scheme reduce cost required for both equipment installation and network maintenance by minimizing configuration procedures of connecting management system with network. We evaluated the effectiveness of the proposed scheme by applying the scheme to a real MPLS-TP equipment.

최근 들어 인터넷의 사용이 급격히 증가함에 따라 인터넷의 백본망에는 패킷 전달의 고속성, 확장성 뿐만 아니라 QOS 보장을 요구하게 되었다. 효과적인 인터넷 백본망을 구현하기 위해 본 논문에서는 Multi-Protocol Label Switching(MPLS)를 고려하고 MPLS 에서 인터넷 Quality Of Service(QOS) 서비스 모델 중 백본망에 적합한 Differentiated Service(DS) 모델을 그대로 제공하기 위해 MPLS 와 DS 의 연동에 대한 문제를 다룬다. 우선 MPLS 에서 QOS 제공을 위한 기능요소를 정성적으로 분석한다. 그리고 두 DS 망 가운데 ATM 기반의 MPLS 망을 두고 있는 경우를 가정하여, 종단대 종단간 DS 제공을 위하여 DS 망과 MPLS 망에서의 시그널링 과정을 제안한다. 즉, DS 의 BB 로부터 SLA 를 위한 신호를 MPLS 의 입구 라우터에서 해석하여 DS Type-Length-Value(TLV)를 만들고 이를 이용하여 Constraint-based Label Distribution Protocol(CR-LDP) 시그널링을 통해 마다 Label-Only-Inferred-PSC LSP(L-LSP)를 설립하여 MPLS 에서 DS QOS 를 그대로 제공한다. 또한 입구 DS BB 로부터의 정보를 MPLS 망을 통해 BB 에게 보낸다.

MPLS 시스템은 크게 기존 라우터 장치를 기반으로 하는 프레임 모드 MPLS 방식과 ATM 교환기를 기반으로 하는 셀 모드 MPLS 방식이 존재하며, 이들 두 가지 방식의MPLS 시스템은 서로 독립적인 MPLS 망으로 구축되며 운용된다. MPLS 망의 확장성, 운용성 및 경제성을 확보할 수 있도록 서로 다른 방식의 MPLS 시스템을 혼합하여 망을 구축하여 운용하기 위해서는 두 가지 방식의 MPLS 시스템 사이에 연동 기능이 요구된다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 frame-mode MPLS 방식과 cell-mode MPLS 방식간 연동을 위한 연동구조 및 작 방법을 제안하였다.

MPLS/VPN서비스는 MPLS망의 인프라를 이용하여 사설망을 제공하는 서비스로 각 VPN사이트사이를 고속의 LSP를 이용하여 연결한다. MPLS/VPN서비스는 차별적인 다양한 서비스 품질을 지원하는 것이 용이하며, 또한 서비스 도입과 운용 및 관리가 용이하여 저비용으로 VPN서비스를 제공할 수 있는 장점을 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 초고속 국가망에 도입될 예정인 ATM/MPLS MSR40시스템을 이용하여 MPLS/VPN망을 구축하기 위해 요구되는 라우팅 프로토콜상에서의 설정 및 고려사항을 설명한다. 현재 시험서비스중인 MPLS네트워크 구축 사례를 바탕으로 하여 MPLS 도메인 내부 라우팅 설정 절차 및 가입자측 라우팅 설정 절차에 대해 설명하고 또한 MPLS망의 특성상 요구되는 몇가지 라우팅 이슈에 대해 설명한다.

MPLS는 고속 전달, 트랙픽 엔지니어링 그리고 가상 사설망 서비스를 가능하게 한다. MPLS 레이블 스위치와 제어기 사이에서 동작하는 GSMP 프로토콜은 연결, 구성, 장애, 성능관리 및 동기화 기능을 제공하는 개방형 인터페이스 프로토콜이다. GSMP가 적용된 개형형 인터페이스의 망 관리 기능은 제어기 또는 레이블 스위치에 위치할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 MPLS 레이블 스위치의 단순화 및 자원 이용의 효율성을 높이기 위하여 SNMP 에이전트가 제어기에 탑재되는 망 관리 모델을 제시하였다. MPLS-LSR 및 FTN MIB와 GSMP 메시지의 매핑 시나리오를 제시하였으며, 제어기의 구현을 통하여 본 논문에서 제시된 망 관리 모델의 실현성을 확인하였다.

기존의 인터넷 망은 대부분 최선형 서비스를 지원하고 있어 다양한 서비스 품질을 요구하는 사용자의 요구를 만족시키기에는 어려움이 있었으며, 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해서 ATM 스위치 기반의 MPLS 망이 구상되었다. ATM 스위치를 기반으로 하는 MPLS 망은 기존 ATM 망에 간단한 L3 라우팅 모듈을 추가하여 인터넷 서비스의 제공이 가능하고, 사용자에게 다양한 서비스 레벨을 지원 할 수 있다는 장점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 MPLS 시스템에서 IP 주소 Lookup을 위한 Forwarding Engine에 대한 큐잉 모델을 설정하고, 인터넷에서 사용되는 프로토콜들에 대한 통계적인 분석을 수행하여, 트래픽 부하에 따른 Forwarding Engine의 성능을 분석하였다.

In this paper we introduce the concept of MPLS-based VPN and propose a scheme for providing VPN services in MPLS networks. Furthermore, we design the control components and the operational procedures and evaluated the performance of traditional VPN implementation methods and MPLS-based VPN. In this scheme it is possible to solve several problems that IP-based VPN pertains via the allocation of VPN ID and virtual space without tunneling, thereby providing effective VPN services. In other words, the MPLS-based VPN scheme uses MPLS networking technology together with the PSTN which can achieve a perfect segregation of user traffic on per-customer basis in a physical link and can guarantee high reliability and security levels. Specially, in the perspective of customers, it can save networking facilities installation and maintenance costs considerably. On the contrary, it possesses some shortcomings in that its deployment tends to be restricted within an ISP's network boundary and it is vulnerable to external security break-ins when going through public networks such as the Internet due to its lack of data encryption capability.

인터넷 서비스에 QoS(Quality of Service)를 제공하면서 IP(Internet Protocol)의 유연성과 확장성을 제공하기 위해 IETF에서는 MPLS(Multiple Protocol Label Switching)기술을 표준화하였다. 또한, MPLS기술의 기본이 되는 시그널링 프로토콜로 LDP(Label Distribution Protocol), CR-LDP(Constrained based LDP). RSVP-TE(Resource Reservation Protocol-Traffic Engineering)의 표준화를 진행해 왔다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 MPLS 기술을 적용하여 현재의 IP망에서 보다 안정적이고 차별화된 서비스를 제공하기 위해 리눅스 상에서 구연한 라우터기반 MPLS 시스템을 제시한다. 본 논문에서 제시하는 라우터 기반 MPLS 시스템은 기존 IP망과의 연동을 위해 MPLS 도메인상의 OSPF데몬을 수정하며, MPLS망에서 명시적 경로를 제어하기 위해 MPLS데몬을 수정한다. 그리고 MPLS데몬과 OSPF데몬은 수정된 Zebra데몬에 의해 스트림 형태로 정보를 교환한다.

본 논문은 MPLS 망과 MPOA 망을 ATM을 이용하여 심리스 연결이 가능한 연동 방안을 제시한다. MPOA의 Shortcut VC와 MPLS의 레이블을 이용한 LSP가 IP 룩업 지연을 최소화하고 심리스 연결을 가능하게 하였지만, 이들을 연동하기 위해서는 연동 노드의 IP 룩업이 필요하므로 종단간의 심리스 연결을 위한 연동 방안이 필요하다. MPLS 망과 MPOA 망의 심리스 연동을 위해 치들의 연동 기능을 이용한 연동 방안과 함께 MPLS의 레이블 값과 ATM VC의 VPI/VCI를 이용하여 LIB에 연동기능을 구성한 심리스 연동 방안들을 제시하고 비교 분석한다.

Recnetly, the demands of QoS(Quality of Service) and the traffic in network is increased. So, H-MPLS(Hierarchical MPLS) network research what guarantees the scalability is in progress. But, the H-MPLS has a problem of increasing of groups and the links of these group's nodes. It happens a problem that is increasing of H-MPLS setup cost. In this paper, We setup the H-MPLS groups. We use NS simulator in order to analyze the performance and traffic transfer times of each H-MPLS groups. In conclusion, we can find out the elevation of the traffic performance, by increasing a amount of links.
