  • 3D printing technology enables proper objects to be made through an additive manufacturing method, but resulting in dimension deviation of the product due to contraction phenomenon as cooling melted filament resin injected from high-temperature use environment. In this research, we studied on acrylic adhesives for 3D printer build sheet in order to fabricate high-quality products with a precise shape and to well-mount without distortion. The solvent-free UV-curable acrylic adhesive formulation was designed by adding 4-acryloylmorpholine (ACMO) with high adhesion, toughness, glass transition temperature so that adhesion properties are stable at high temperature and products are easily mounted/detached from the adhesives. The designed formulation was polymerized through two-steps using post-addition of monomers. Using this, the acrylic adhesive was coated to make a film and then analyzed using various experimental techniques. As a result, the fabricated adhesive exhibited high glass transition temperature and there was little gap in peel strength before and after thermal treatment. Moreover, it was confirmed by rheological analysis that this adhesive can provide great bonding/debonding ability without distortion. We demonstrated the fabrication of a rectangular product using a 3D printing method using our acrylic adhesive as a build sheet. Mounting ability and workability were satisfactory and dimension deviation of the product was tiny. Because the product is easily detachable from the acrylic adhesive developed here than conventional build sheets, it is expected that this will provide work convenience to users who use the 3D printer.

  • Programmed cell death (PCD) is thought as a well-controlled process by which unwanted cells are selectively eliminated. During the last decade many researches have elucidated molecules and their interactions involved in cell death by using largely in vitro induction of cell death or survival signals in a more defined manner, While these critical information and novel findings provide us with clearer understanding of mechanisms underlying cell death, it does by no means explain how PCD occurs and which cells or tissues are affected during normal embryonic development in vivo. In this study, we used zebrafish to examine whether the PCD is occurring selectively or randomly in developing embryos by whole mount in situ TUNEL analysis with specific markers for neural cells. The result revealed that the degree and distribution of TUNEL staining varied considerably throughout gastrulation stage, and there was also a number of TUNEL-negative embryos. Most of TUNEL-positive cells were scattered randomly throughout the blastoderm. During the gastrulation stage about 75 % of the embryos analyzed exhibited more than 5 TUNEL-positive cells. As the dorsal epiblast begins to thicken rather abruptly near the end of gastrulation, TUNEL-positive cells were mainly located along the dorsal side. Although there were some variations in TUNEL staining during segmentation and pharyngeal stages, TUNEL staining continued to be localized to the central nervous system, and was also detected in the sensory organs, trigeminal ganglions, and the primary sensory neurons. High levels of the cell death in developing brain between 20-somite and prim-6 stages are thought to play a role in the morphogenesis and organization of the brain. At prim-16 stage, cell death is considerably reduced in the brain region. Dying cells are mainly localized to the prospective brain region where ectodermal cells are about to initiate neurogenesis. As development progressed, high levels and more reproducible patterns of cell death were observed in the developing nervous system. Intensive TUNEL staining was restricted to the trigeminal ganglions, the primary sensory neurons, and sensory organs, such as olfactory pits and otic vesicles. Thus, PCD patterning in zebrafish embryos occurs randomly at early stages and becomes restricted to certain region of the embryos. The spatio-temporal pattern of PCD during the early embryonic development in zebrafish will provide basic information for further studies to elucidate genes involved in. regulation of PCD largely unknown in vivo during vertebrate embryogenesis.

  • A 2 years old female beagle dog was examined because of the vaginal discharge and vaginal swelling at 7th day after mating. Abdominal ultrasonography revealed multiple follicular cysts on both ovaries. Also, the ratio of superficial cells was above 90% based on vaginal cytology. She was still in standing heat, with the tail deflected up and flagging when a male sniffed the vulva and attempted to mount. The dog was diagnosed with multiple follicular cysts by vaginal cytology, clinical signs and ultrasonography. The dog was treated with GnRH $50{\mu}g$ injection by intramuscularly. The sizes of the cysts were decreased two weeks after GnRH treatment, and then the dog delivered an offspring at 68th day after last mating. To confirm the stage of estrous cycle, we performed hormone analyses, retrospectively $Estradiol-17{\beta}$ concentration was 78pg/ml at diagnosis. Progesterone concentration was 6.9ng/ml at the last mating, and 66.9ng/ml at diagnosis. Therefore, we confirmed that follicular cysts was observed during diestrous stage in a beagle dog.

  • The increasing uses of zinc oxide nanoparticles (nZnO) in industrial and personal care products raise possible danger of using nZnO in human. To determine whether ZnO induces size-dependent anomalies during embryonic organogenesis, mouse embryos on embryonic day 8.5 were cultured for 2 days under 50, 100, and $150{\mu}g$ of nZnO (< 100 nm) or micro-sized ZnO (mZnO; $80{\pm}25{\mu}m$), after which the morphological changes, cumulative quantity of Zn particles, and expressions of antioxidant and apoptotic genes were investigated. Although embryos exposed to $50{\mu}g$ of ZnO exhibited no defects on organogenesis, embryos exposed to over $100{\mu}g$ of ZnO showed increasing anomalies. Embryos treated with $150{\mu}g$ of nZnO revealed significant changes in Zn absorption level and morphological parameters including yolk sac diameter, head length, flexion, hindbrain, forebrain, branchial bars, maxillary process, mandibular process, forelimb, and total score compared to the same dose of mZnO-treated embryos. Furthermore, CuZn-superoxide dismutase, cytoplasmic glutathione peroxidase (GPx) and phospholipid hydroperoxidase GPx mRNA levels were significantly decreased, but caspase-3 mRNA level was greatly increased in nZnO-treated embryos as compared to normal control embryos. These findings indicate that nZnO has severer teratogenic effects than mZnO in developing embryos.

  • We report the discovery of a bright mid-infrared (MIR) source with prominent crystalline silicate emission using the space telescope AKARI and Spitzer. This source, IRAS 15099-5856, has a spectacular morphology with a bright central compact source (CCS) surrounded by knots, spurs, and several extended (~4') arc-like filaments. The source is seen only in infrared at ${\geq}10{\mu}m$. The Spitzer MIR spectrum of the CCS shows prominent emission features from Mg-rich crystalline silicates and strong [Ne II] 12.88 ${\mu}m$ and several other faint ionic lines. We model the MIR spectrum as thermal emission from several independent dust components and compare their properties to those of the Herbig Be star HD 100546 which shows very similar MIR spectrum. Our molecular line observations reveal two molecular clouds around the source, but no associated dense molecular cores. We discuss two possible origins for IRAS 15099-5856; a deeply embedded massive young stellar object on the other side of the Galaxy and a disrupted, protoplanetary disk being photoevaporated by the UV radiation from the nearby O star Muzzio 10.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the correlation and characteristics between electromyographic (EMG) activities of lower leg muscles and the posturographic assessment of static balance control in normal adults. Twenty-four young, healthy adults(12 males, 12 females) participated in the study. Center of pressure (COP) parameters were obtained using force platform as total path distance, total sway area, X mean frequency and Y mean frequency for 20 seconds in the following conditions: (1) comfortable standing with eyes opened or closed, (2) uncomfortable standing (feet together) with eyes opened or closed, (3) virtual moving surround delivered using Head mount display (HMD) with four different moving patterns. The virtual moving patterns consisted of close-far, superior-inferior tilting (pitch), right-left tilting (roll), and horizontal rotation (yaw) movements. Surface electromyographic activites were recorded on the tibialis anterior, peroneus longus, medial and lateral heads of gastrocnemius muscles under each condition. Correlation between the posturographic measures and EMG activities were evaluated. Total path distance and total sway area of COP were significantly increased during uncomfortable standing. EMG activity of tibialis anterior was significantly more during uncomfortable standing and virtual moving surround stimulation than during comfortable standing. Total path distance and sway area of COP during comfortable standing with closed eyes showed significant positive correlation with the EMG activities of the lateral head of gastrocnemius muscle. Total path distances and total sway area of COP during muscle. Total path distances and total sway area of COP during presentation of virtual moving surround also had significant positive correlations with EMG activities of the lateral head of gastrocnemius muscle under close-far movement.

  • In our study, osteoporosis was induced by ovariectomized in female Sprague-Daweley (SD) rats, and the prevention and treatment efficacy of the climacteric disease the ostmenopausal type I pattern was examined by using the experimental substance soybeans and arowroot. No clinical signs and mortality after continuous oral administration of experimental substances for 14 weeks were not observed, however, the weight of experimental animals underwent ovariectomized was increased significantly in comparison with control group (p<0.01). The atrophy of the uterus due to T3 group was 23.64% after 7 weeks, 24.44% after 14 weeks (in comparison with N.C. group), and it was statistically significantly increased. In regard to the change of blood cells, it was observed that platelets were statistically significantly reduced in the ovariectomized group, and administered orally experimental substances continuously for 7 weeks, in all groups administered experimental substances, it was found that platelets had the tendency to be increased more than N. C. group. In regard to He change of blood biochemistry, removed the ovary, the concentration of ALP showed the tendency to be increased than control group, and particularly in T3 group, it was increased significantly. In regard to the concentration of cholesterol, in comparison with negative control group, it was reduced 68% at 7 weeks and 35% at 14 weeks. After ovariectomized, the amount of estrogen was found to be reduced by 21.37% in comparison with control group, it showed the tendency to be increased by 4.49% in T1 group and 7.62% in T2 group, the concentration of estrogen in each group showed the tendency to be increased than negative control group, and in T3 group, it was increased to 100.46% and 117.65% in T4 group, and it was increased more than control group. Based on the above experimental results, in the experimental animals female rats, because of the hormonal imbalance induced by ovariectomized, a large mount of fat is accumulated in the body and due to it osteoporosis, obesity, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, fat of the liver, arteriosclerosis, diabetes, and other metabolic diseases were developed. Hence, when the experimental substance Extraction of ferment arrowroot was orally administered continuously for 14 weeks, it was thought that a certain proportion of the hormonal balance was maintained that functioned as a substance interfering the accumulation of fat, and it was considered to be of help in the treatment of not only osteoporosis Type I, but also for the prevention and treatment of various endocrinal diseases.

  • In this paper, the optimum placement and shape of UHF antenna on the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) are analyzed by using the electromagnetic (EM) simulation on the various locations. The FEKO was used for the EM-simulation. In order to reduce the complexity of simulation and minimize the runtime and memory usage, the composite aircraft structure is simplified as the PEC model excluding the radome structure. The simulation was performed on the wing and ventral fin of UAV, and the antenna shape used the monopole, dipole, and bent monopole antennas. When the monopole antenna is mounted under the wing, two antennas need to be mounted under the right and left wings, and those antennas have to be switched as the direction of UAV wing to the line of sight (LOS) data-link (DL) ground antenna. In the case of mounting under the ventral fin, one antenna can be used regardless of the direction of UAV wing to the LOS DL ground antenna. Also, the antenna gain is improved by the blockage reduction. The antenna gain is further improved by using the bent monopole antenna. The optimum solution of UHF antenna placement and shape on UAV is to mount the bent monopole antenna under the ventral fin.

  • In this paper, a design of high current and broad-band microwave bias-tee was presented for a stable bias of a high power amplifier. An input impedance of bias-tee should be shown to 50 ohm with the wideband in order to be stably-biased the amplifier. For this design of the bias-tee, a capacitor of bias-tee for a DC block was designed with a high wide-band admittance by a parallel sum of capacitors, and a inductor for a RF choke and a DC feeding was designed with a high wide-band impedance by a series sum of inductors. As this inductor and capacitor for the sum has each SRF, band-limitation of lumped element was driven from SRF. This limitation was overcome by control of a resonance's quality factor with adding a resistor. 1608 SMD chips for design's element was mounted on the this pattern for the designed bias-tee. The fabricated bias-tee presented 10 dB of return loss and wide-band about 50 ohm input impedance at 10 MHz~10 GHz.
