기업활용수준을 반영한 기술경영 연구방법론 교과도출을 위한 사전연구 (A Preliminary Study for Deriving Subjects of MOT Method Based on the Utilization Status in Korea Enterprises)

  • This study focus on what methods of MOT are needed and utilized to solve a technical problem in the MOT leading company. We first classified the MOT methods by project life cycle and R&D job quality based on the several discussion with working group. In order to study, the survey was carried out by 168 experts working on MOT practices. Our main research findings are as follows. The level of utilized MOT methods was above average because MOT sector was beginning to represent an increasing share of total R&D business. But the satisfaction level on the MOT majors was below average. The more utilized MOT methods in practices were 'environment analysis and opportunity research,' 'business feasibility,' 'roadmapping,' 'portfolio,' 'technology tree,' 'scheduling,' 'risk management,' 'six sigma,' 'design of experiment,' 'quality control,' 'cost analysis' etc. And the subjects of product realization process were also needed to MOT practice such as 'design for reliability,' 'design for cost,' 'design for performance,' 'design for safety' deeply involved to product quality. Finally, the capability requested to University students were 'problem define and solving,' 'technology planning and strategy,' 'creative thinking.'

  • Technology has always been the force multiplier that influenced production and effected increase in the standard of living. The difficult choices involved in developing and implementing new technologies are recognized, but the right choice is rarely well defined and progress is often subject trial and error. The process of managing technologies to create wealth is called MOT. MOT is proposed as the central link for knowledge drawn from engineering, business, science, and corporate practice. One academic response to global competition is the creation of graduate program in MOT that have different academic and experience requirements. The purposes of this paper can be divided into two categories: how about the realities of MOT programs in Korea and what is the recommendation for universities to introduce this program.

한국의 기술경영전문대학원의 교과과정을 통해 본 한국적 기술경영학의 정체성 (Understanding Management of Technology(MOT) in South Korea through an Analysis of Graduate MOT Programs' Curricula)

  • 기술경영학은 1960년대 미국 공공연구기관의 체계적 연구관리(R&D) 필요성과 영국 고등교육기관의 관련 학술지 창간 등에 의해 태동된 후 현재는 전 세계 809개 이상, 국내 19개 이상의 기관에서 연구와 교육활동을 수행할 정도로 크게 확산되었다. 특히, 한국에서는 2007년부터 산업부를 중심으로 지속적으로 정부예산을 투입해 단기간 내에 양적·질적으로 대학원 수준의 기술경영 인력양성 체계가 자리 잡게 되었다. 한국의 기술경영학 교육과정은 현장중심형 교육과정 운영, 교육기관 간 표준화와 동형화, 인접학문과의 친연성 등에 있어 해외의 기관과는 다른 경로와 차별성을 보인다. 본 연구에서는 한국의 기술경영학 교과과정을 체계적으로 분석함으로써 그 정체성과 차별성을 확인한다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 기술경영학의 주요 교재 11종(한국어 3종, 영어 8종)을 분석하여 기술경영학의 교과과정의 주요 내용을 7개 주제영역으로 구분하고 인접학문과의 차별성, 기술경영학의 정의적 특성에 관해 논하였다. 다음으로는 기술경영 대학원과정을 운영하는 한국의 9개 대학원 교과과정을 7개 주제영역에 투사하였다. 분석결과, 한국의 대학원 교과과정은 기업에서의 기술경영의 운영 측면, 산업별/기술별 기술경영, 산학연계 프로젝트/세미나에 62.5%의 교과목이 배정되어 있었다. 즉, 한국적 기술경영 교육과정은 지역산업에서 필요로 하는 중간관리자급의 기술경영 실행인재의 양성을 주요 목표로 하고 있다고 볼 수 있다. 본 연구는 기술경영 교과과정의 분석 토대 위에 한국의 산업발전단계를 고려한 향후 기술경영학 교육의 발전방향을 시사점으로 도출하였다. 즉, 기술과 혁신의 개념과 특성에 대한 이론, 기업 기술경영의 운영만이 아니라 전략적 측면, 기술경영의 경제사회적 맥락에 대한 교육과정이 보강될 필요가 있다는 점을 제시한다.

Train Students to Study Independently

  • Independent study is a major ability of engineering students. In independent study training practice, we need to use different instructional strategies and responds to individual student needs and learning styles. The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate a four-step student independent study training mode we applied to teaching the Biomedical Engineering students in Dali University, China. We developed this teaching mode to fulfill the goals of the first years' undergraduates training and improve the students learning skills. The four-step teaching mode includes both in-class and out-of-class activities. The emphasis is on how to train students to get information from the reading materials, understand the concept, develop critical thinking and eventually become independent learner.

  • People have relatively continuous and stable characteristic and it can help understand personal attitude and behavior. As individual has individual personality and society has culture, in case of organization, there is organization culture that means unique cultural characteristic. And as if we need to know culture of that society to understand individual, we need to know organization culture of that organization to understand any organization. The reason why organization culture is acknowledged as modern theory of business management is-modern company has proposed management innovation, organization activation, company transformation, and company reprogramming as management strategy to cope actively with various and quickly changing environment that modern company face-that organization culture and management innovation, that is, the concept of new business management is highlighted for means and tools to solve such problems. Seeing contemporary situation, although organization culture of small company is being improved by management innovation, cause and effect that organization culture affect technique innovation still insufficient. The meaning of this research is, through a good example of organization culture, providing reason that efficient organization culture affect technique innovation of small company(medium and small company) and making people understand why this effect occur. Through this, I want to provide strategy and policy implication of company.

ISO 국제표준의 비교 연구를 통한 국내 의료기기 GMP 제도의 효과적인 운영 방안 (Comparative Study of ISO Standards for an Effective Implementation of the Domestic Medical Device GMP System)

  • Purpose: It can easily be understood that more rules and regulations need to be imposed on the medical device industry due to its impact on public health and hygiene. Domestic medical device manufacturers are thus required to comply with the requirements specified in the good manufacturing practice (GMP) system, and it is essential to abide by the international standards as well to sustain their global competitiveness. The main purpose of this study is to review the guidelines of the medical device GMP system in Korea and propose future directions for further enhancement of the GMP system. Methods: Specific requirements prescribed in international standards, such as ISO 9001:2015, ISO 13485:2016, ISO 14971:2012, and ISO 14155:2011, are analyzed and compared with the domestic GMP system. Results: It has been observed that the generic international standard related to quality management system, ISO 9001:2015, lays out the foundations for the development of quality management system relevant to medical device industry, ISO 13485:2003, with which the domestic GMP system is fully compatible. Further, several important aspects of risk management and clinical trials of medical devices are also recognized and included in the domestic medical device GMP system. Conclusion: Even though specific requirements of individual ISO standards are slightly different from each other, their overall structure and framework may contribute to the development and enhancement of globally competitive GMP system of the domestic medical device industry.

스마트팩토리 기술수용에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구 (Factors Affecting Technology Acceptance of Smart Factory)

  • Smart Factory is the decisive factor of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and is a key field for national competitiveness. Until now, most smart factory research has focused on policy and technology. In order to spread more technology, it is necessary to study what factors influence the adoption of smart factory technology in the enterprise. Nevertheless, little research has been done. In this study, based on the UTAUT (Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology), which has been proved through many years of research, I have studied the factors that influence the acceptance of smart factory technology. As a result of research, performance expectancy, social influence, and facilitating conditions of UTAUT model had a positive(+) effect on behavior intention. Their relationship of influence was in the order of performance expectancy (β = .459)> facilitating conditions (β = .212)> social influence (β = .210). However, it was found that the effort expectancy did not affect the behavior intention, and the impact of the newly perceived risk on the behavior intention to use was not confirmed. The main reason is that the acceptance of smart factory technology is not a matter of personal interest but a matter of organizational choice. Trust, on the other hand, was found to be partially mediated between performance expectancy, facilitating conditions, social influence and behavior intention. For many years, many researchers have validated the UTAUT, which has been validated through various empirical studies. It is academically meaningful to begin the study of factors affecting the acceptance of smart factory technology in terms of the UTAUT. In practice, it is necessary to provide SME employees with more information related to the introduction of smart factories, to provide advanced services related to the establishment of smart factories, and to establish a standardized model for each industry.
