  • Today, mobile phone is a necessity of modern life. For that reason, we suggest a particular system of a mobile phone which take a picture of music score image and automatically play it without any technical knowledges about the music score information. This experiment makes midi, acknowleging separate symbols via preprocessing to music score image taken. This paper utilizes 11 sorts of the score image taken by a mobile phone camera for this experiment. Through this method we suggest, as much as 98% on average takes place, which is very high recognizing ratio. Also, as we introduce this system in a mobile phone by porting, it takes 8.63 seconds on average to create midi following input of images.

  • This study was conducted to determine the effect of treatment with the plant-growth-promoting bacteria on the growth of red pepper(Capsicum annuum L.).The eight plant-growth-promoting bacteria were isolated from the humic soil in the forest region. The isolated bacteria(IB) was identified by the method of the biochemical test(API kit) and the composition of the fatty acid(MIDI system). The IBs were inoculated by spray of 17ml at 72 cell tray filled with peatmoss every week. respectively, with mixed liquid eulture of eight strains. The IBs were identified as Micrococcus sp.. Bacillus subtilis. Enterobacter agglomerans, Bacillus megaterium, Pseudomonas putida. Pseudomonas fluorescens, Xanthomonas maltophilia and Staphylococcus xylosus by API kit and MIDI system. The plant height number of leaves and leaf length of red pepper grown on peatmoss treated with the IB were better than those of nontreatment at the 10th day after inoculation.

  • The roots of grapevine in the field in which the crown gall was occurred severely in Chungbuk province were collected and Agrobacterium spp. were isolated from the roots using the selective media. The selected 13 isolates were identified as A. tumefaciens with fatty acid analysis using MIDI system, nucleotide sequence of 16S rDNA, biochemical characteristics, and PCR with the species-specific primers. A. vitis, a pathogen of crown gall disease of grapevine was not isolated from the roots. All of the isolates did not show pathogenicity on the tomato seedlings and the stem and root of grapevine. Eric-PCR showed that DNA band patterns of the root isolates were a little more similar to A. tumefaciens than A. vitis. However, overall similarity between the root isolates and the pathogenic strains of A. tumefaciens and A. vitis was low by rep-PCR. These results suggest that a pathogen causing crown gall in grapevine in Chungbuk province may transmitted through the seedlings rather than via soil or roots.

  • In order to determine the causes of sweetened adzuki ann spoilage, the characteristics of microorganism isolated from spoiled adzuki ann were investigated. The isolated microorganism was gram-positive, roil-shaped and shore-forming bacteria; its surface was smooth and glazed. From the results of the assimilation test of 46 different biochemicals by the Vitec 2 Compact test and comparison of the cellular wall composition of fatty acid by the data bank of Midi sherlock system, the microorganism was identified as Bacillus subtilis, D-value of the B. subtilis spore was 4.85 min at $115^{\circ}C$, 0.69 min at $121^{\circ}C$ and 0.48 min at $125^{\circ}C$; Z-value was 9.71. The Bacillus subtilis growth was not observed below water activity of 0.92 at $45^{\circ}C$. However, bacteria growth increased gradually as water activity increased above 0.93.

  • The music education improves the creative talent, social skills and academic achievement of the students. For the efficient music education, it is requested to develop the collaborative educational learning tools, especially electronic collaborators suitable to the leaner's study patterns and speed. In this paper, we propose a new method to develop a PC-based self learning software for the flute performance using templates and descriptors to make the contents form and substance. Our proposed method can allow user to modify the descriptors to match the contents to his level. We implemented a PC-based self learning software for the flute performance compactly and a feasibility test showed the efficiency of our proposed method to construct a self learning tool to play the flute and the tool can be utilized for the beginner to learn playing flute.

  • The aim of this study was to develop a mobile application 'Beat Processing Device (BPD)' to record and quantify the data for the performance accuracy of rhythm production. BPD has been developed in three phases. First, we reviewed studies that used rhythm as main intervention strategy to improve cognitive functioning of older adults, and derived four basic rhythm idioms. Second, we developed an iOS-based mobile application, optimized the device, the instrument tone, and the measurement variables through preliminary test. Lastly, we tested the mobile application by comparing the performance data obtained from MIDI and BPD from 60 older adults. The device was shown to be reliable and consistent with other mode of measurement and analysis. Conclusively, BPD can be a useful tool for assessing rhythm production ability in the course of cognitive skills training.

  • The study intends to use interactive multimedia art performances for rehabilitation exercises for patients with early dementia. The interactive performance is completed by communication and participation of the performer on the stage and the dementia patient, who is the audience, and through this process, the dementia patient performs efficient rehabilitation exercises with interest and immersion. For the study, the characteristics of early dementia patients and effective exercise methods are examined, and a program map is constructed so that the patient's performance viewing leads to participation and leads to rehabilitation exercises. Movements and sounds generated by the audience's participation are converted into MIDI signals of Sound Level, Pitch, and Velocity to become a performance that controls music and video in real time. Through this, the patient will be immersed in the rehabilitation exercise with interest and will be able to have a sense of accomplishment as a participant in the performance. In addition, this study has the significance of expanding the area through various uses and applications of interactive multimedia art.

  • This treatise presents that a possibility of non-musician's composition. In fart, as a development of music composition program(used by IAVA) helps to compose music easily, but non-musician still feels hard to compose some musics and perform some musics even though the band-in-a-box is already existed(which is an auto accompaniment program). This treatise shows non-musicians' special music composition way. Select a cord and put the cord to special program which ratted ‘the cord composition program’, and then the cord composition program creates the rest cords. After this progress, non-musicians overwrite their own melodies in accordance with created cords. Finally, they can perform their own musics with the sound of master-keyboard and other sound sources using by the band-in-a-box program.

  • In this paper, we propose a virtual violin implementation using the detection of bowing and finger dropping position from the estimated finger tip and finger board information with the 3D image data from a Kinect. Violin finger board pattern and depth information are extracted from the color image and depth image to detect the touch event on the violin finger board and to identify the touched position. Final decision of activated musical alphabet is carried out with the finger drop position and bowing information. Our virtual violin uses PC MIDI to output synthesized violin sound. The experimental results showed that the proposed method can detect finger drop position and bowing detection with high accuracy. Virtual violin can be utilized for the easy and convenient interface for a beginner to learn playing violin with the PC-based learning software.

  • In this paper, we study how to improve the performance of a machine learning-based automatic music transcription model by adding musical information to the input data. Where, the added musical information is information on the number of pitches that occur in each time frame, and which is obtained by counting the number of notes activated in the answer sheet. The obtained information on the number of pitches was used by concatenating it to the log mel-spectrogram, which is the input of the existing model. In this study, we use the automatic music transcription model included the four types of block predicting four types of musical information, we demonstrate that a simple method of adding pitch number information corresponding to the music information to be predicted by each block to the existing input was helpful in training the model. In order to evaluate the performance improvement proceed with an experiment using MIDI Aligned Piano Sounds (MAPS) data, as a result, when using all pitch number information, performance improvement was confirmed by 9.7 % in frame-based F1 score and 21.8 % in note-based F1 score including offset.
