Optimum Design of Draw-bead Force in Sheet Metal Stamping using Rigid-plastic FEM and Responses Surface Methodology (강소성 유한요소해석과 반응표면분석법을 이용한 박판성형공정에서의 드로우 비드력 최적설계)

  • Design optimization is performed to calculated the draw-bead force for satisfying the design re-quirements. For an analysis tool a rigid-plastic finite element method with modified membrane element is adopted. response surface methodology is utilized for constructing the approximation surface for the optimum searching of draw bead force in sheet metal forming process. the algorithm developed is ap-plied to a design of the draw bead forces in a deep drawing process. The results show that the design of process parameters is applicable in complex metal forming analysis. It is also noted that the present algo-rithm enhances the stable optimum solution with small times of optimization iteration.

Creep-Rupture and Fatigue Properties of Transient Liquid Phase Bonded Joints of Ni-Base Single Crystal Superalloy (액상확산접합한 Ni기 단결정 초내열합금의 크리프 파단 및 피로특성)

  • The creep-rupture and low cycle fatigue properties of transient liquid phase bonded joints of Ni-base single crystal superalloy, CMSX-2 was investigated using MBF-80 insert metal. The (100) orientation of bonded specimen was aligned perpendicular to the joint interface. CMSX-2 was bonded at 1523K for 1.8ks in vacuum, optimum bonding condition. The creep rupture strength and rupture lives of the joints were the almost identical to ones of the base metal. SEM observation of the fracture surfaces of joints after creep rupture test revealed that the fracture surfaces classified three types of region, ductile fracture surface, cleavage fracture surface and interfacial fracture surface. The low cycle fatigue properties of the joints were also the same level as those of base metal. The elongation and reduction of area values of joints were comparable to those of base metal while fell down on creep rupture condition of high temperature.

Metal Ion Selectivity of Surface Templated Resins Carrying Phosphate Groups

  • The metal ion selective resins were prepared by surface template polymerization using monooleyl phosphoric acid (1), oleyl methyl phosphoric acid (2) or oleyl ethyl phosphoric acid (3) as an amphiphilic host surfactant. The $Cu^{2+}$-imprinted resins prepared in the presence of $Cu^{2+}$ adsorbed $Cu^{2+}$ much more effectively than did their reference resins. On the other hand, the $Cu^{2+}$-imprinted resins showed much less binding ability to $Zn^{2+}$. The template-dependent selectivity should be ascribed to a favorable placement of the surface-anchored metallophilic groups for multidentate coordination to specific metal ion.

  • In the present industry, there is not only the cutting of iron metal, but also the cutting of alloy aluminum, brass and plastic to wood(Paulownia). A variety of material is used and these industry is made need of the cutting material but lots of experiments processing is not enough at the moment. At this point, our team processed the basic experiment about influencing of Feedrate and Backrake angle of bite concerned to manufacture in the turning of non-iron metal. Generally speaking, we recognized that there was occurrence of increase of Surface Roughness with increasing of cutting angle in the non-iron metal, but in the cutting of wood we knew, there was special change with change of cutting angle

  • A experimental try was conducted for the purpose of establishment of the cast iron modification by the metal spray method. The friction and wear resistance properties of the metal sprayed cast iron surface were evaluated. The application experiment for the cast iron modification by the metal spray method was conducted in order to develope the restoring method of the scrapped cast iron cylinder liner of the marine engine.

  • In this paper, we developed 3 dimensional Surface Charge Method which could calculate electric fields inside GIS with a small void in solid insulator or with a metal impurity. We find a metal impurity makes much more non-uniform electric field distribution inside GIS than a small void. We also find electric field is much more increased when a metal impurity is close to solid insulator surface at high voltage conductor.

  • Catechol moiety has enough reducing capability of reducing metal ions. Catechol-grafted polymer is chemically synthesized and electrospun into nanofibers as templates for metal nanostructures. The metal nanostructures are spontaneously generated on the catechol-grafted polymer nanofibers under ambient conditions.

  • The metal spray method, one of the surface anti-corrosion methods to prevent the corrosion of the steel material, does little effects on the material, while it can be used on a wider surface. However, metal spraying is used only in a limited environment, and research on the case of using with concrete is lacking. The purpose of this study was to observe the corrosion behavior of steels with metal spray coatings in concrete using electrochemical methods And to evaluate the performance of the method according to the type of metal used in the metal spray. As a result, the Al metal spray coating showed the best performance, because Aluminum is oxidized in the cement mortar and forms alumina oxide film.

  • Now composite resin restoration is clinically accepted in the repair of fractured PFM case, many mechanical surface treatment methods are performed to increase retentive force. The main purpose of this study was to compare the retentive force among the possible surface treatments and to insure the best method for the clinical application to the fractures porecelain and the exposed metal surface. To compare and to analyze the retentive force of repair resin, porcelain specimen were divided into 2 groups, etching group and non-etching group, and etching group were treated with 37% $H_3PO_4$, 1.23% APF, 10% HF and non-etching groups were treated with diamond bur, micro-sandblasasting. Also, metal specimens were divided by 2 groups : one was non-precious metal group which was treated with diamond bur, micro-sandblasting and tin plating and electrolytic etching, the other was precious metal group which was composed of micro-sandblasting treatment only and tin plating treatment with micro-sandblasting. Each specimen had been restored for 48 hours and the bond strength of each specimen was calculated with Universal testing machine. The results were as follows : 1. Porcelain specimen had higher bonding strength than metal specimen for the repair resin(P<0.01). 2. In porcelain specimen, 10% HF etching group had the highest bonding strength among etching and non-etching group. 3. Metal specimen treated with micro-sandblasting had highest bonding strength among the non-sandblasting had hightest bonding strength among the non-precious group, tin plating group had higher bonding strength than micro-sandblasting group between the precious metal groups. 4. Bonding strength of tin plating was increased in precious metal group only.
