In Korea, WAP and ME have been used for wireless Internet services. Two methods are different in markup languages used, therefore contents providers have to use two different markup languages to provide an internet service. To solve this problem, we present a design and implementation of a markup language conversion module between WML and M-HTML.

A new motion compensated frame Interpolation (MCI) algorithm by block based motion estimation (BME) is proposed. The block for the BME is composed of a large overlapped block for practical object motion estimation (ME) and a small block (which has a coinciding center with the ME-block) for the more precise motion compensated image description. Pixels in the block for the ME are sub-sampled to reduce computational complexity. The proposed method is executed with the various ME-blocks which have different size and sub-sampling ratio, and compared to the conventional method.

The corrosion resistance of several kind of ME (Metal Evaporated) tape has been investigated both in mild sulfuric acid solution and NaCl solution by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. It was found that the degradation of ME tapes was accelerated with increasing the concentration of sulfuric acid. There was no significant change in corrosion resistance when the concentration of NaCl was under 3.5 wt%. However, the impedance value decreased when the concentration of NaCl was up to 10 wt%. The degradation of backside of ME tapes was also investigated by AC impedance measurements. The results showed that the impedance behavior of backside plastic film changed with the concentration of sulfuric acid even at the beginning of immersion, implying the changing of the permeability for the backside of ME tapes. It was also found that the corrosion resistance of DVC (Digital Video Cassette) ME tape was better that that of Hi-8mm ME tapes in sulfuric acid solutions. Also, the backside of DVC ME tape showed better water resistance than that of Hi8 ME tapes.

In the recent digital communication systems, the performance of Turbo Code used as the error correction coding method depends on the interleaver size influencing the free distance determination and the iterative decoding algorithms of the turbo decoder. However, some iterations are needed to get a better performance, but these processes require a large time delay. Recently methods of reducing the number of iteration have been studied without degrading original performance. In this paper, the new method of combining ME (Mean Estimate) stopping criterion with SDR (sign difference ratio) stopping criterion among previous stopping criteria is proposed, and the fact of compensating each method's missed detection is verified. Faster decoding is realized that about 1~2 time iterations to reduced through adopting this method into serially concatenated both decoders. System Environments were assumed W-CDMA forward link system with intense MAI (multiple access interference).

인터넷의 접속환경이 유선에서 무선으로 급격하게 진행되고 있지만 무선에서 사용되는 인터넷 지원 환경은 Text 기반의 WAP 서비스가 주종을 이루고 있어서 멀티미디어 서비스와 같은 다양한 잇점을 제공하는 새로운 프로그램 개발방식과 구조가 필요한 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 Mobile 기기와 웹 서버간의 멀티미디어 및 다양한 컨텐츠 제공이 가능한 J2ME 기반 모바일 서버 연동 기법을 제안하였다. 본 연구에서 제안한 기법은 현재 많은 무선인터넷 서비스 업체에서 적용하고 있는 VM(Virtual Machine)에 적용시 예상되는 서버 연동 문제를 해결할 수 있음을 확인하였다.

Compared with the desktop, the MIDP on J2ME has many limitations on memory capacity, screen size, networking ability and processing speed. In addition, screens vary with device providers in size, and service platforms vary with mobile service providers. These factors require additional functions to server and cause overheads of the server. On this paper, we propose the wav to reduce overheads of the server and to overcome disadvantages of the J2ME clients, with the server that provides the service of data in XML document type and the client on MIDP that is developed including the kXML parser.

무선 인터넷의 성장에 대한 높은 기대에도 불구하고 이를 위한 컨텐츠의 제공은 아직까지 부족한 상태로, 무선 인터넷 시장이 보다 활성화되기 위해서는 많은 양질의 컨텐츠가 제공되어야 한다. 이러한 많은 양질의 컨텐츠를 확보하기 위해서는 기존의 유선 인터넷 컨텐츠를 그대로 활용하면서 프리젠테이션 로직만을 분리하여 단말기에 탑재하는 방식이 유용하다. 또한, 분리된 프리젠테이션 로직과 기존의 유선 인터넷 측의 로직을 연결하기 위해서는 여러 단말기에서 지원되며 다양한 인터넷 접속 방식을 제공하는 Java 기술이 유리하다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 Java의 장점들을 활용하여 무선환경에서 작동하는 티켓 예약 응용시스템을 개발하였고, 이를 통해 효율적인 무선 응용 시스템 구축 방법의 모델을 제시하고자 한다. 본 연구에서 활용한 방식을 따르면 보다 효율적이고 마르게 무선 응용 시스템을 구축할 수 있으며, 기존의 유선 인터넷 컨텐츠를 활용함으로써 다양한 양질의 컨텐츠를 쉽게 확보할 수 있어, 무선 인터넷의 활성화에 도움이 될 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

P2P(peer­to­peer) 방식의 통신 모델의 강점은, 기존의 Server­Client 모델에 비해 Server에 대한 의존도가 낮고, 중앙 집중의 제어를 받지 않는다는 것이다. 그러나, 현재 사용되고 있는 일반적인 P2P 모델들은 서비스의 성격과 시스템 환경이 달라, 서로 호환되지 않는 문제가 있다. 썬 마이크로시스템사에서 제안한 JXTA는 프로그래밍언어와 플랫폼에 독립적으로 개발 가능한 P2P 모델로서 다양한 환경에서 적용이 가능하다. 그러나 이러한 JXTA를 무선환경에서 원활하게 적용하기에는 J2ME Device의 제한된 자원으로는 한계가 있다. 본 논문에서는 J2ME Device를 위해 JXTA기반의 Relay를 사용하여 무선환경에서 유연하게 적용되는 P2P 서비스를 구현하였다.

In the contemporary age, social environment has changed from analog to digital. As a media is developed, the public is more familiar to digital than analog. In this society, media art rises as new art. One of the most useful methods in the media art is projection mapping. In this paper, I propose a realization process of artwork 'Cloned Me' that is realized by projection mapping method. Artwork is formed by projecting image contents that are visualized a music on a steel structure. It is different from media facade that the object projected contents has a story composition. It is a strength that the object and contents are connected by story and composition. Also it can be modified each other easily for harmony because the structure is assembly-type. A face that is projected by beam projection is consist of unique structure not fixed rectangular frame. Artwork 'Cloned Me' has significance that it reflects the present age to develop digital cloning.
