Displacement current measuring technique has been applied on the study of polyamic acid monolayer containing p-nitroazobenzene. The displacement current was generated from monolayer on the water surface by monolayer compression and expansion. Maxwell displacement current(MDC) was generated when the area per molecule was about $200{\AA}^2$ and $70{\AA}^2$. Maxwell displacement currents were investigated in connection with monolayer compression cycles. It was found that the maximum of MDC appeared at the molecular area just before the initial rise of surface pressure in compression cycles. The monolayer surface morphology of the LB film have been measured by Atomic Force Microscope(AFM). As a result, we confirmed that the microscopic properties of LB film by AFM showed the good orientation of monolayer molecules and the thickness of monolayer was 3.5-4.1nm.

In the communications systems with diversity, we are commonly faced on needing of new source coding technique, error resilient coding. The error resilient coding addresses the coding algorithm that has the robustness to unreliability of communications channel. In recent years, many error resilient coding techniques were proposed such as data partitioning, resynchronization, error detection, concealment, reference picture selection and multiple description coding (MDC). In this paper, we proposed an MDC using whitening transform. The conventional MDC using correlating transform is need additional information to decode the image. But, if an image is transformed using the whitening transform, the additional information is not necessary to transform because the coefficients of whitening transform have uni-variance statistics.

Maxwell displacement current(MDC) was generated when the area per molecule was about 140${\AA}$$^2$and 100${\AA}$$^2$. MDC were investigated in connection with monolayer compression cycles. It was found that the maximum of MDC appeared at the molecular area just before the initial rise of surface pressure in compression cycles. The absorption spectra of polyamic acid containing p-methoxyazobenzene in a mixture of N,N-dimethylacetamide(DMAc) and benzene(1:1 by volume) solution was induced photoisomerization by UV and visible light irradiation. The precursor LB film was heated in a vacuum dry oven at 120$^{\circ}C$ in order to convert it into the LB film of polyimide. The absorption spectra of LB films were also induced photoisomerization by UV and visible light irradiation.

본 논문에서는 하이브리드 다중 표현(hybrid multiple description) 개념을 이용하여 에러가 발생하기 쉬운 환경에서 사용될 수 있는 강인한 동영상 압축 알고리듬을 제안한다. 다중 표현 압축은 단일 표현 압축(single description coding. SDC) 보다 패킷 손실 율(packet loss rate, PLR)이 높은 환경에서 에러에 더 강인성을 갖는다. 그러나 PLR 이 낮은 환경에서는 과도한 중복량(redundancy) 때문에 성능이 저하되는 문제가 발생한다 이러한 MDC 의 문제를 해결하기 위해서 채널 환경에 따라 SD/MID 를 전환할 수 있는 방법을 제안한다. 좀더 자세히 설명하면, 낮은 PLR 에서는 압축 효율을 위하여 SDC 를 사용하고 높은 PLR 환경에서는 에러에 대한 강인성을 위해 MDC 를 사용한다. SD/MD 전환을 최적화시키기 위해 비트율-왜곡 최적화 프레임웍(rate-distortion optimization framework)을 사용한다. 부호화시에 복호기에서의 왜곡(distortion)을 정확히 예측하기 위해서 ROPE(recursive optimal per-pixel estimate) 방법을 사용한다. 모의 실험 견과 제안된 SD/MD 전환 방법이 기존의 SDC-ROPE 와 MDC-ROPE 보다 모든 에러 환경에서 더 효과적임을 알 수 있다.

'96년 중반 포괄적 핵실험 금지조약(Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty:CTBT)의 체결이후 전세계적으로 핵실험 감시장치망을 구축하고 있는데, 이에 대응하여 한국원자력연구소에서는 국제기술사양에 만족하는 원거리 대기핵종 감시 시스템을 개발하였다. 본 시스템은 원거리에서 날라온 공기중 부유입자를 포집하여 핵실험시 누출될 수 있는 방사성 핵종의 농도를 측정하는 장치이다. 그 운용을 위해서는 포집 및 분석능력의 척도라고 할 수 있는 시스템의 최소검출 방사능농도 (minimum detectable concentration:MDC)의 결정이 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 최적화된 시료붕괴시간(decay time)에서의 MDC값을 결정하기 위하여 sampling time을 48시간, counting time을 6시간으로 하고, 6시간의 다른 decay time에 따라 실험을 수행하였다. 국제기술사양에서 요구하는 13개 핵종에 대해 decay time에 따른 각각의 MDC값을 구하였으며, 국제기술사양 권고치와 비교하였다. 비교결과 decay time이 12시간일 때 가장 국제기술사양 권고치를 만족한다는 것을 확인하였다.

The purpose of this article is to review the current states and future trends in the more developed countries(MDC), the less developed countries(LDC), and Korea. In 2009, the percentage of persons ages 65 and older in the world's population is 8%. However, the ratio of elderly to the total population is higher in MDC than LDC (and Korea). In future, population ageing will be a serious social problem in the LDC (and Korea). Population ageing process will occur at a much faster rate in LDC (and Korea). The reason is that the demographic transition in LDC (and Korea) has occurred in much shorter and recent periods. Though the ageing indices such as the old-age dependency ratio, aging index, and the median ages are higher in MDC, they will change rapidly in LDC. In addition, the oldest old population will increase in LDC than MDC. Therefore, when establishing the government policy related to population ageing, we need to consider the different population ageing process between in MDC and in Korea(or LDC).

The purpose of this study is to get comparitive results on the combined accelerator systems comprised of MBT, MBTS, DPG and CBS with TMTD, TMTM, Zn-MDC and DPG to SBR compound. Vulcanization characterstics and physical properties of the combined accelerators have been studied by mean of the Mooney viscometer, tensile testing machine, aging chamber and so on. According to the test results, TMTD with DPG system has shown faster Mooney scorch time than other system. The vulcanizate comprise of Zn-MDC with DPG and TMTD with DPG accelerator system has taken advantage of heat resistance.

본 논문은 MDC의 전송 중 발생한 에러를 검출하고, 그 에러를 정정하는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 이 알고리즘은 기존의 MDC 와 같이 약간의 redundancy를 가지는 두 개의 sub-bitstream 을 생성하는데, 한쪽 sub-bitstream에 에러가 발생하였을 때, 다른 한쪽의 sub-bitstream을 이용하여, 발생한 비트 에러를 정정한다. 제안된 알고리즘에 대한 BER-SNR실험은 Generalized Gaussian source를 임의적으로 발생시켜서 결과를 얻어내었다. sub-bitstream에서 에러가 발생하였을 때 우리가 제안한 알고리즘은 BER<10/sup -3/에서 기존 알고리즘보다 약 12㏈ 높은 성능을 얻을 수 있었다.

Ceramium boydenii belongs to euphorbia humitusa of red algae, and is distributed along the coast of Jeju island. This study was conducted to examine the anti-inflammatory effect and action mechanism of C. boydenii in the human keratinocyte cell line HaCaT. The 80% EtOH extract of C. boydenii inhibits the production of MDC (macrophage derived chemokine), an inflammatory chemokine, induced by IFN-${\gamma}$ and TNF-${\alpha}$ in a concentration dependent manner. It also suppressed the phosphorylation and nuclear translocation of STAT1, a key transcription factor in IFN-${\gamma}$ and TNF-${\alpha}$ signaling pathway, at the effective concentrations. These results suggest that C. boydenii demonstrates the anti-inflammatory activity via the suppression of STAT1 activation and has the significant value as an anti-inflammatory source.

We investigated the anti-inflammatory activities of unripe fruit of Citrus grandis Osbeck growing at Jeju Island, through the evaluation of their inhibitory effect on the production of inflammatory markers (IL-6, iNOS, COX, TARC and MDC) in RAW264.7 murine macrophage cells and HaCaT human keratinocyte cells. Among the sequential solvent fractions obtained from crude extract, hexane and chloroform $(CHCI_3)$ fractions showed potential inhibitory activity on the mRNA expressions of IL-6, iNOS and COX-2 at the concentration of $100\;{\mu}g/ml$ in RAW264.7 cells. Also, EtOAc fraction showed inhibitory activity on the thymus and activation-regulated chemokine (TARC)/CCL17 and macrophage-derived chemokine (MDC)/CCL22 at the concentration of $50\;{\mu}g/ml$ in HaCaT cells. These results suggest that the unripe fruit of C. grandis may have anti-inflammatory activity through the suppression of inflammatory markers (IL-6, iNOS, COX, TARC and MDC).
