In scalable video coding, MCTF plays an important role for time-scalability and SNR-scalability. But there is image quality decreasing as MCTF level is increased because time interval of each frame is extended so that is hard to find suitable motion vector. In this paper, we propose an algorithm to prevent image quality from decreasing with unsuitable motion vector during MCTF update process using JND. We adapt JND to find errors within blocks of image and set a threshold which is used to add high frequency components during update process. We can overcome time-gap between frames and achieve better image quality through the proposed algorithm.

This paper presents an effective motion estimation to improve the performance of the motion compensated temporal filtering (MCTF) which is a core part of the wavelet-based scalable video coding. The proposed scheme makes the motion vector field uniform by the modified median operation and the search strategies using adjacent motion vectors, in order to enhance the pixel connectivity which is significantly relevant to the performance of the MCTF. Moreover, the motion estimation with variable block sizes that reflects the features of frames is introduced for further correlation improvement of the motion vector field. Experimental results illustrate that the proposed method reduces the decomposed energy on the temporal high frequency subband frame up to 30.33% in terms of variance compared to the case of the full search with fixed block sizes.
This paper presents a tracking filter using pseudomeasurements in an estimated line-of-sight Cartesian coordinate system(ELCCS) whose x-axis is on the line-of-sight to an estimated target position. A target dynamics model and a measurement equation in the ELCCS are derived first and then a tracking filter in the ELCCS named moving coordinate tracking filter(MCTF) is proposed. It is shown that this MCTF is equivalent to a Kalman filter in the inertial Cartesian coordinate system which is widely used in the target tracking system. By approximating the MCTF for a pseudomeasurement noise and an error covariance matrix in the ELCCS, decoupling of three axes can be achieved. In this case, named decoupled moving coordinate tracking filter(DMCTF), computation time can be drastically reduced by utilizing its parallel structure. Finally, the stochastic properties of the MCTF and DMCTF are presented. Especially, a sufficient condition of nondestabilizing deviation for the DMCTF is proposed. The performance of the MCTF and DMCTF are compared with a conventional Kalman tracking filter.

시각적으로 유사한 특성을 갖는, 즉 상관성을 갖는 세그먼트들을 하나의 비디오 스트림으로 구성하고 MCTF(Motion Compensated Temporal Filtering)을 적용한다.
We propose a new video compression method based on MCTF(motion compensated temporal filtering) with constant quality. SPECK is an efficient image compression coding method of encoding DWT coefficients. Especially SPECK method is very efficient for coding the motion compensated residual image which usually has larger amounts of high frequency components than the natural images. And proposed multi block size hierarchical motion estimation technique is more efficient than classical block matching algorithm with fixed block size both in estimation precision and operation costs. Proposed video method based on MCTF video compression can also support multi-frame rate decoding with reasonable complexity. Simulation results showed that proposed method outperforms H.263 video compression standard.

We propose an efficient coding method of digital holograms using MCTF and standard compression tools for video. The hologram is generated by a computer-generated hologram (CGH) algorithm with both an object image and its depth information. The proposed coding consists of localization by segmenting a hologram, frequency transform using $64\times64$ segment size, 2-D discrete cosine transform DCT for extracting redundancy, motion compensated temporal filtering (MCTF), segment scanning the segmented hologram to form a video sequence, and video coding, which uses H.264/AVC. The proposed algorithm illustrates that it has better properties for reconstruction, 10% higher compression rate than previous research in case of object.

In this paper, we study the characteristics of parameters which are related to performance of MCTF which is a key technique for wavelet-based scalable video coding, and propose an improved MCTF method. The proposed MCTF method adopts the motion estimation of which motion vector field is distributed more uniformly using variable block sizes. By using the proposed method, the decomposition performance of temporal filter is improved, and the energy in high-frequency frames is reduced. It can help the entropy coder to generate lower bitrate. From simulation results, we verify the decomposed energy on high-frequency frame using the proposed method is reduced by 25.86% at the most in terms of variance of the high-frequency frame.

In this paper, we proposed a new MCTF (Motion Compensated Temporal Filtering) technique and its hardware (H/W) architecture for SVC (Scalable Video Coding). Since the proposed MCTF Kernel has a extensible architecture, it executes temporal filtering using (5,3) and (3,1) lifting operation. Also it has the same output data rate as the input, and it can continuously produce filtered frames after some latency time. Since the proposed architecture has simpler architecture than previous ones, it is easily mapped into H/W and has optimized memory usage rate and low cost.
The gift coupon system was introduced in the AWP(Amusement With Prize) Game Industry in February 2002 to revitalize the sluggish domestic game industry and establish the cultural industry base. Today, however, speculations regarding these coupons are fast becoming a serious social issue. Therefore, this study proposes the establishment of the MCTF Management System as a possible solution to the analysis and resolution of the problem of gift coupons aimed at promoting the AWP Game Industry and ensuring its soundness as well as bridging the gap between the domestic and international game markets in terms of the industrial structure; thus securing global competitiveness. Unlike any other measure taken to date to prevent speculations, the MCTF Management System can eradicate problems related to coupons offered for free in the AWP Game Industry. This strategic system consists of Merchandise Coupon Management, Central Management, Tripartite Guarantee Management, and Fund Management System. Finally, this system is expected to help root out the problems related to gift coupons.
In this paper, we proposed a new coding technique of digital hologram video using 3D scanning method and video compression technique. The proposed coding consists of capturing a digital hologram to separate into RGB color space components, localization by segmenting the fringe pattern, frequency transform using $M{\tiems}N$ (segment size) 2D DCT (2 Dimensional Discrete Cosine Transform) for extracting redundancy, 3D scan of segment to form a video sequence, motion compensated temporal filtering (MCTF) and modified video coding which uses H.264/AVC.
