MAT사이클을 이용한 분리축 가스터빈 엔진의 성능향상에 관한 연구 (Performance Improvement of Free Power Gas Turbine Type Gas Turbine Engine by Using of a MAT Cycle)

  • 본 연구에서는 MAT(Moisture Air Turbine) 사이클이 압축기 입구에 미세한 물방울을 분무함에 따라, 가스터빈 엔진의 성능을 향상시킬 수 있음을 제시하였다. 혼합물이 상변화하는 동안의 압축기 일은 이론적으로 등 엔트로피 압축 일로 고려하였다. 여기서 습증발의 영향을 고려함에 따라 압축기 일이 감소함을 알 수 있었다. 성능해석 프로그램을 이용해서 1000, 1210, 1350 rps 조건에서, 압축기 유입공기에 대한 1.5% 의 물 분무시 사이클 모델 계산을 이용해서 각각 21.7%, 20.2%, 18.4%의 출력이 증가함을 확인하였다. 또한 효율도 압축기 일의 감소에 의해 개선되어짐을 확인하였다.

12주간의 미니볼(Mini Ball)을 이용한 필라테스와 매트 필라테스가 노인의 근력, 전신지구력, 유연성, 동적평형성에 미치는 영향을 비교 (Comparison of effects of 12 weeks of Pilates with Mini Ball versus Mat Pilates on strength, endurance, flexibility, and dynamic equilibrium in older adults.)

  • Background: Most Pilates programs for older adults have been based on mat Pilates, and there has been limited research on Pilates with mini-balls. Therefore, this study aims to compare the effects of Pilates with mini-balls and mat Pilates interventions on strength, total body endurance, flexibility, and dynamic equilibrium to determine the differences. Methods: The elderly aged 65 or older living in Gyeongsan, Daegu, were divided into two groups, and the experimental group (n=10) conducted a Pilates exercise program using mini balls for 12 weeks, and the control group (n=10) conducted a mat Pilates exercise program for 12 weeks without mini balls. Strength, endurance, flexibility, and dynamic equlibrium were measured as a pre-test, and post-test was performed in the same way after 12 weeks of application. Results: Comparing the mini-ball Pilates group to the mat Pilates group, there was a significant difference (p<.05) in the 'chair sit and reach' after the intervention. In the within-group comparison, there was a significant increase (p<.05) in 'arm curl right', '30-second chair stand', '2-minute walk', 'back scratch', 'chair sit and reach', and '2.44m up and go' in the experimental group using the mini-ball Pilates program. Mat Pilates program significantly increased the within-group comparisons in '30-second chair stand' and 'chair sit and reach' (p<.05). Conclusion: It is suggested that mini-ball Pilates has a positive effect on the senior fitness and will be a good exercise method for using it as an exercise program for the elderly in the future.

Deposition Optimization and Property Characterization of Copper-Oxide Thin Films Prepared by Reactive Sputtering

  • Copper-oxide (CuO) thin films were prepared by reactive sputtering of Cu onto Si wafers and characterized using a statistical design of experiments approach. The most significant factor in controlling the electrical resistivity and deposition rate was determined to be the $O_2$ fraction. The deposited CuO thin films were characterized in terms of their physical and chemical properties, using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), atomic force microscopy (AFM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and 4-point resistance measurements. The deposited copper thin films were characterized by XPS and XRD analyses to consist of $Cu^{2+}$. The CuO thin films of highest resistivity exhibited superior rectifying responses with regard to n-type Si wafers, with a current ratio of $3.8{\times}10^3$. These superior responses are believed to be associated with the formation of a charge-depletion region originating from the p-type CuO and n-type Si materials.

조림묘목 멀칭매트 제조용 고분자의 물성 및 생분해성 (Properties and Biodegradation of Polymer for Afforestation Seedling Mulching Mat)

  • Characteristics of biodegradable polymers for mulching mat for seedling were investigated. The solvent solubility of polymers is highest in methylene chloride and chloroform. Tensile strength and breaking elongation of polymer dipped paper were increased to the 0.43-1.46 kN/m and the 0.03-0.26%, respectively. PLAs had showed lower glass transition temperature and melting point than those of polyester. As a result, PLA should be most suitable polymer for mulching mat manufacturing. After biodegradation of polymers by lipase, surface of polymers was change to more flat due to enzymatic degradation.

Novel strategy for isolating suppressors of meiosis-deficient mutants and its application for isolating the bcy1 suppressor

  • A novel strategy was developed for isolating suppressors from sporulation-deficient mutants. The mutation in the BCY1 gene, which codes for the regulatory subunit of cAMP-dependent protein kinase, when homozygous, results in diploids being meiosis and sporulation deficient. Two plasmids, YCp-MAT.alpha. and YEp-SPOT7-lacZ, were introduced into MAT.alpha. BCY1$\^$+/ or MAT.alpha. bcy1 haploid cells. The transformant of the BCY1$\^$+/ haploid cell produced .betha.-galactosidase under nutrient starvation, but the bcy1 transformant did not. Using this system, the mutagenesis experiment performed on the bcy1 transformant strain resulted in a number of sporulation mutants that produced .betha.-galactosidase under nutrient starvation. One complementation group, sob1, was identified from the isoalted suppressor mutants and characterized as a single recessive mutation by tetrad analysis. Genetic analysis revealed that the sob1 mutation suppressed the sporulation deficiency, the failure to arrest at the G1 phase of the cell cecle, and the sensitivity to heat or nitrogen starvation caused by the bcy1 mutation. However, the sob1 mutation did not suppress the sporulation deficiency of ime1 and of ime2 diploids. These results suggest that the sob1 mutation affects a gene which functions as a downstream regulator in both meiosis and cell cycle regulation.

실경작지 밭의 비점오염물질 저감을 위한 지표피복재 적용 (Application of the Surface Cover Materials for Reduction of NPS Pollution from Actual Cultivation)

  • Four actual cultivations were prepared and a variety of soybean was cultivated. A H-flume, an automatic water level gauge and an automatic water sampler were installed at the outlet of each plot equipped for the measurement of flow rate and its water quality. The amount of rainfall of the study area in 2013 was measured as 975.6 mm which was much lower than the annual average rainfall of 1,271.8 mm, resulting in less occurrences in rainfall-runoff events. Rainfall-runoff events were occurred three times during the rainfall event of 4~5 July, 23 and 24 August. The characteristics of NPS pollution discharge of the plots and the reduction effect of the selected BMPs were analyzed during these events. The reduction effect of straw mat and soil amendments (Polyacrylamide (PAM) and Gypsum) on runoff ratio ranged between 38.2 and 92.9% (average 71.6%). The NPS pollution load reduced between 27.7 and 95.1% (average 70.0%) by the application of rice straw mat and soil conditioner when compared with that of control plot. Soybean yield (2,133.3 kg/ha) of the straw mat covered plots increased by 14.3% when compared with control (1,866.7 kg/ha). The effect of straw mat on the yield was not economically viable if the material and accompanying labor costs were considered. The data collected and analyzed on different soil textures and crops in this study are expected to be a fundamental reference for the expansion of the results to the application nationwide and the development of NPS pollution management policies.

모르타르 타설 방법에 따른 하상보호공의 안정성 평가 (The Evaluation of Bed Protection as Placing Methods of Mortar)

  • 본 연구는 육상 및 수중 타설을 통한 SPF 공법의 하상보호능력을 평가하는 것이 목적이다. 이를 위해 실제 하상보호공의 1/10 축소모형 매트를 제작하여 육상과 수중에서 모르타르를 타설했으며 실험을 통해 각 매트의 한계유속을 평가하였다. 실험 결과 매트는 대부분 수로 중앙부의 지지력 감소로 파괴가 발생했으며 상대적으로 유속이 약한 수로 가장자리에서 안정성을 확보하였다. 한계유속 분석 결과 육상타설은 6.51 m/s, 수중타설의 경우 9.80 m/s가 안정성을 확보할 수 있는 유속인 것으로 나타났으며 0.50 m 두께의 SPF매트를 콘크리트 블록으로 대체할 경우 최대 2.21 m 두께가 필요한 것으로 계산되었다.

  • $0.10Pb(Sb_{1/2}Sn_{1/2})O_3-0.25PbTiO_3-0.65PbZrO_3+MnO_2(0.18mol%)$, NiO(0.15mol%) temary compound ceramics won fabricated by the mixed-oxide method. Noise properties of the pyroelectric infrared sensor were investigated with particle size of the raw materials and gain size of the specimens. Particle size were decreased and sintered density, voltage resposivity were increased with increasing the ball-mill times. The specimen ball-milled for a 80[hr] showed a good pop-corn noise properties.

흰나리(Lilium formosanum Wallace) 식별을 위한 CAPS 마커의 개발 (Development of CAPS marker for identifying a Formosan lily (Lilium formosanum))

  • This study was conducted to identify lily species native to Korea from formosan lily (Lilium formosanum) belonging to Longiflorum section. Due to flowering time, flower color and orientation, long shelf life and resistant to diseases, the native lily species can be valuable genetic resources for interspecific hybrids. One of the chloroplast genes, matK, was used to clone and sequence to explore any base changes. The matK was successfully amplified into 1,539 bp (94% of the gene) and phylogenetic tree demonstrated 6 clades for those 11 lily species used in this study. There were one or two base substitutions among 10 lilies native to Korea, while formosan lily native to Taiwan exhibited 6 base substitutions in matK gene, rendering it genetically distant. A restriction enzyme NruI recognized one of the six base changes, and digested the matK gene of 10 native lily species only, but not in formosan lily. The confirmed cleavage characteristic of the target region in matK gene was designed into a CAPS (cleaved amplified polymorphic sequences) marker which will be available to estimate compatibility of interspecific hybridization and to trace the pedigree when those native lilies are crossed with the formosan lily.
