  • 본 논문에서는 중 고속 자기부상열차용 선형 유도전동기에서 나타나는 단부효과를 고려하여 중 고속 운전을 할 수 있는 제어 알고리즘을 제안한다. 선형 유도전동기에서 나타나는 단부효과를 수식적으로 분석하여 선형 유도전동기 시뮬레이션 모델을 구성하였으며, 단부효과의 영향을 보상하여 제어를 함으로서 선형 유도전동기 적합한 제어 알고리즘을 구성하여 시뮬레이션을 통하여 검증하였다.

  • Cable-In-Conduit Conductor(CICC) is widely accepted as an advanced superconductor configuration for large scale applications such as tokamak fusion reactors, MAGLEV (MAGnetic LEVitation), and SMES (Superconducting Magnetic Energy Storage). The stability of CICC cooled with supercritical helium can be very high if it is operated below a certain limiting current. This limiting current can be determined by Stekly type heat balance equation. The stability characteristic of CICC for AC operation is more complicated than that of DC because there are additional instability sources which are associated with local flux change. Ramp-rate limitation is a phenomenon discovered during US-DPC (United States-Demonstration Poloidal Coil) program, which showed apparent quench current degradation associated with high dB/dt. This paper describes recent experimental investigation results on the ramp-rate limitation and discusses current imbalance, induced current, current redistribution due to local quench of the strand in the cable.

  • Until now the test of LIM have been mainly experimented for a small capacity LIM. This paper deals with the static characteristics of a large capacity LIM which is designed for MAGLEV. And we developed the simulation program using electro-magnetic field theory and equivalent circuit method. Hence it is evaluated the performance of a large capacity LIM. Also this paper predicts the dynamic characteristics of LIM with the proposed simulation program.

  • One maglev vehicle is composed of 6 r 8 modules. Each module is composed of 4 staggered magnets attached to an aluminum bogie. In the view point of levitation control except propulsion by LIM, 5 is the maximum degrees of freedo to be controlled. But rolling control of the vehicle depends on the bogie structure. We describe just anti-roll type out of bogie structures and 4 degrees of freedom control is sufficient for levitation quality improvement. Multivariable pole-placement concept and the decentralized control concept are used for controller design. Computer simulation and control experiment are performed on a specially designed test module.

  • A gain scheduling approach for the suspension control of a nonlinear MAGLEV System is presented. We show that this technique is ver useful for improving not only performance to the operational disturbances originating aerodynamic force but also robustness to the uncertainty of payload. As a scheduling variable, even though the external disturbance need to be estimated in real time, but the additive measurement is not required to do it. Some simulations show that the gain scheduling control system performs very well comparing with other method using a nonlinear feedback linearization or a fixed gain linear feedback.

  • This paper deals with the characteristics of persistent current switch (rCS) system fer applied HTS magnet system. To apply the high-Tc superconductor in superconducting machine such as motror, generator, MAGLEV, MRI, and NMR, the study on high-Tc superconducting persistent current mode must be performed. In this experiment, the PCS system consists otd superconducting magnet, PCS and magnet power supply. The superconducting magnet was fabricated by connecting four double pancake coils (DPCs) in series. The PCS was inductive double pancake coil type and heated up by the SUS 303L tape heater. The optimal length of PCS was calculated and thermal quench state of PCS was simulated by using finite element method(FEM) and compared with experimental results. The optimal energy to normalize the PCS was calculated and introduced. Finally, the persistent current was observed with respect to various ramping up rate and magnitude of charging current.

  • A magnet is designed and analysed using a finite element method program (FLUX2D), which will be employed to the 2-module MAGLEV test vehicle for developing of DAE JEON EXPO '93 Magnetic Levitation System. Levitation force. guidance force and thermal characteristics are examined according to the variation of parameters of the magnet ie. pole width, window area, rail configuration, input current and so on. An optimal geometry of the magnet are provided.

  • This paper deals with dynamic characteristics of the experimental magnetic levitation vehicle employing LSM(Linear Synchronous Motor) for propulsion. To predict the dynamic characteristics of the system, the dynamic model which is composed of the electrical elements such as electromagnets and LSM and mechanical components and is developed based on multibody dynamics is developed. The resulting system equations of motion for the model are a coupled one representing all the mechanical and electrical parts. To verify the dynamic model of the system, air gaps are measured in both running tests and simulation, and the frequency characteristics of air gaps are analyzed. From the results, it can be seen that the frequency responses are almost the same. Finally, to evaluate the levitation stability and the designed controller, numerical simulations are carried out.

  • 자기부상철도는 철도시스템 특유의 특성을 가진 복합시스템으로, 그동안 장기간 기술개발을 걸쳐 경량전철형의 도시형 자기부상열차가 개발되었다. 현재 2006년부터 국내 상용을 목표고 하는 대규모의 실용화사업이 추진되고 있다. 이와 같은 대규모의 복잡한 시스템에 대한 프로젝트에는 생명주기 개념이 적용된 프로젝트 관리 및 기술서인 시스템엔지니어링을 기반으로 하는 사업추진이 필수적이다. 시스템엔지니어링 관리계획서(SEMP; Systems Engineering Management Plan)는 관련 프로젝트에 대한 시스템엔지니어링 분야의 최상위 계획으로, 프로젝트 추진방안 및 일정, 예산, 기술적 목표 등과 함께 시스템엔지니어링 기능 및 수행작업, 업무범위, 조직구조, 인터페이스 등에 대한 내용을 포함하여 기술한 문서를 말한다. 본 논문에서는 도시형 자기부상철도에 대한 실용화사업의 계획 수립을 통하여 SEMP를 작성하면서, SEPM에 대한 문헌조사 및 분석과 함께 SEMP의 작성 방안 및 과정을 보였다. 또한 이를 컴퓨터 기반의 도구를 사용하여 작성되도록 하였다.
