탄소 나노튜브를 이용한 이산화질소 감지 센서의 특성 ([ $NO_2$ ] Gas Sensing Characteristics of Carbon Nanotubes)

  • 알루미나 기판에 빗살 모양의 금 전극을 형성한 후 플라즈마 화학기상법으로 탄소 나노튜브를 성장하여 이산화질소 감지 특성을 조사하였다. 탄소 나노튜브 센서의 전기저항은 온도 증가에 따라 감소하는 반도체 특성을 보였으며, 또한 이산화질소의 농도가 증가하면 센서의 전기 저항은 감소하였다. 이산화질소의 흡착에 따라 탄소 나노튜브 센서의 전기저항은 초기 3분 이내에서는 급격히 감소하였으며 $20\~30$분 후에는 일정한 값을 유지하였다. 탄소 나노튜브 센서의 감도는 공기속에서 산화 열처리하면 증가되었다. $450^{\circ}C$에서 30분간 산화 열처리한 탄소 나노튜브 센서는 작동온도 $v$에서 낮은 이산화질소 농도인 250 ppb 에서도 $27\%$의 큰 감도를 보였다. 그러나 이산화질소 검출 후 재사용하기 위하여는 20분 이상의 회복 시간이 요구되고 있다.

용액연소합성법을 이용한 LaFeO3 분말 합성 및 탄소 연소 특성 (Solution Combustion Synthesis of LaFeO3 Powders and Their Carbon Ignition Property)

  • [ $LaFeO_3$ ] powders were prepared as the oxidation catalyst materials to reduce the emission of particulate matters from diesel engine and their catalytic effects on the oxidation of carbon were investigated. Solution combustion method was employed for the powder synthesis, which uses highly exothermic and selfsustaining reactions. In this study $LaFeO_3$ powders were synthesized at $400^{\circ}C$ as varying the ratio ($\Phi$) of fuel (citric acid) and oxidizer (metal nitrate), and their phase and carbon ignition property were examined. As $\Phi$ decreases, the crystallinity of synthesized $LaFeO_3$ powders enhanced. By calcining at $700^{\circ}C$, all the powders synthesized at various $\Phi$ fully crystallized. The calcined $LaFeO_3$ powders showed carbon ignition temperature as low as $501{\sim}530^{\circ}C$, which implied the decrease of the ignition temperature by $120{\sim}150^{\circ}C$.

산성 Fe-ZSM5 담체에 담지된 귀금속 촉매를 활용한 암모니아의 선택적 산화반응 (Selective Catalytic Oxidation of Ammonia over Noble Catalysts Supported on Acidic Fe-ZSM5 Supports)

  • 본 연구에서는 산성을 갖는 Fe-ZSM5를 담체로 활용하여 Pd, Pt 등 귀금속을 담지한 후, 제조 촉매의 암모니아의 선택적 산화반응 활성을 평가하였다. 이들 중 Pt/Fe-ZSM5가 Pd/Fe-ZSM5 보다 높은 활성을 나타냈다. 또한 Pt/Fe-ZSM5 촉매에서 ZSM5 구조체 내 Fe의 이온교환량을 달리한 촉매의 실험을 수행하여, 암모니아의 선택적 산화반응에 가장 우수한 활성을 보이는 최적 조성비를 탐색하였다. 그 결과, Fe의 이온교환량이 적을수록 반응 활성이 증가하는 경향을 보였고, 저온 영역인 $250^{\circ}C$에서 100%의 암모니아 전환율을 나타냈다. 이와 같이 암모니아의 선택적 산화반응에 효과적인 Fe-ZSM5 담체에 대하여, ICP-AES, BET, XRD, $NH_3$-TPD 등과 같은 특성 분석을 수행하여 제조 촉매의 구조와 물성이 반응활성에 미치는 영향을 검토해보았다.

바나듐계 촉매상에서 암모니아를 이용한 질소산화물의 환원반응속도에 수분이 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (Effect of Water on the Kinetics of Nitric Oxides Reduction by Ammonia over V-based Catalyst)

  • The main and side reactions of the three selective catalytic reduction (SCR) reactions with ammonia over a vanadium-based catalyst have been investigated using synthetic gas mixtures in the temperature range of $170{\sim}590^{\circ}C$. The three SCR reactions are standard SCR with pure NO, fast SCR with an equimolar mixture of NO and $NO_2$, and $NO_2$ SCR with pure $NO_2$. Vanadium based catalyst has no significant activity in NO oxidation to $NO_2$, while it has high activity for $NO_2$ decomposition at high temperatures. The selective catalytic oxidation of ammonia and the formation of nitrous oxide compete with the SCR reactions at the high temperatures. Water strongly inhibits the selective catalytic oxidation of ammonia and the formation of nitrous oxide, thus increasing the selectivity of the SCR reactions. However, the presence of water inhibits the SCR activity, most pronounced at low temperatures. In this study, the experimental results are analyzed by means of a dynamic one-dimensional isothermal heterogeneous plug-flow reactor (PFR) model according to the Eley-Rideal mechanism.

Lycopene의 사료 내 첨가가 육계와 산란계의 항산화에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Dietary Lycopene Supplementation on Antioxidtion in Broiler and Layer)

  • Lycopene is the red-coloured carotenoid predominantly found in tomato fruit and one of the major carotenoids in the diets of North American and Europeans. Interest in lycopene is growing rapidly following the recent publication of its effects as a natural antioxidant and prevention of cardiovascular disease and cancers. Lycopene, a polyene hydrocarbon carotenoid haying 13 double bond, of which 11 are conjugated double bonds in a linear array exhibits a strong antioxidant property almost twice as strong as that of ${\beta}$-carotene. Lycopene has been shown in recent epidemiological and experimental studies to protect against oxidative damage of DNA which plays an important part in development of various cancer. Lycopene also contribute towards reducing the risk of cardiovascular diseases by preventing oxidation of low-density lipoprotein(LDL) cholesterol. This review summarize our knowledge and the current understanding of lycopene in human health as well as the results of experiments we conducted. We conducted experiments for investigating the effects of antioxidant in broiler and the possibilities of production of high quality eggs containing lycopene by the dietary lycopene supplementation with synthetic lycopene or tomato paste. The results shows that thiobarbituric acid reaction substances(TBARS) values in process of LDL oxidation in blood serum of broiler were significantly decreased by dietary lycopene and tomato paste. The dietary lycopene supplementation resulted in improved egg yolk color and in decreased the malondialdehyde (MDA) of egg yolk after 4 wk of storage at room temperature significantly(P<0.05). The dietary tomato paste was more effective in the MDA reduction compared to the lycopene(P<0.05). The contents of lycopene in egg yolk of the lycopene supplementation groups were significantly higher than those of the control group.

비결합형 터널접합구조에서 Cr 하지층에 따른 전자기적 특성변화 (The Electromagnetic Properties in Uncoupled funnel-junction with Various Cr Seed Layer)

  • 본 연구에서는 DC 마그네트론 스퍼터를 사용하여 Cr/Co/Al-Ox/Co/Ni-Fe 다층박막에 다양한 두께의 Cr 하지층을 삽입함에 따른 자기적 특성 및 전기적 특성에 관하여 연구하였다. 3 nm 두께의 Cr 하지층 증착시 자기저항비의 변화는 관찰할 수 없었고 적정한 Cr두께가 증가함에 따라 Co의 보자력이 크게 증가되었다 또한, 산화시간이 길수록 두 강자성층간에 보자력 차이 및 절연층의 저항이 점차 증가하였는데, 이는 산화시간에 따라 상부층 계면의 평탄성의 증가에 기인하는 것으로 생각되며 TEM을 통하여 확인할 수 있었다. Cr 하지층 유무에 관계없이 최고 자기저항비가 나타나는 절연층의 산화시간은 60~70초로 비슷하였지만 Cr 두께가 증가할수록 자기저항비는 감소하였다. 이는 전극간 계면의 거칠기의 증가로 인해 미반응 Al의 잔존 확률이 상대적으로 커짐에 따라 터널 전자의 산란이 증가함으로써 나타나는 것으로 생각된다. 이러한 결과로 Cr하지층의 두께는 3 nm로 고정하였으며 하지층의 증착 및 적정산화를 통하여 두 강자성층간에 큰 보자력 차이를 유도할 수 있었다. 이는 재현성에 있어서 가장 큰 문제점을 지닌 TMR 소자에 매우 긍정적인 해결방안을 제시할 수 있게 된다.̄

Hardness and Oxidation Resistance of Ti0.33Al0.67N/CrN Nano-multilayered Superlattice Coatings

  • $Ti_{0.33}Al_{0.67}N/CrN$ nano-multilayers, which are known to have excellent wear resistance, were prepared using an unbalanced magnetron sputter to have various periods of 2-5 nm. $Ti_{0.33}Al_{0.67}N$ had a hexagonal structure in a single layer, but converted to a cubic structure by forming a multilayer with CrN, which has a cubic structure. Thus, $Ti_{0.33}Al_{0.67}N$ formed a superlattice in the multilayer. The $Ti_{0.33}Al_{0.67}/CrN$ multilayer with a period of 2.5 nm greatly exceeded the hardness of the $Ti_{0.33}Al_{0.67}N$ and the CrN single layer, reaching 39 GPa. According to the low angle X-ray diffraction results, the $Ti_{0.33}Al_{0.67}N/CrN$ multilayer maintained its as-coated structure to a temperature as high as $700^{\circ}C$ and exhibited hardness of 30 GPa. The thickness of the oxide layer of the $Ti_{0.33}Al_{0.67}N/CrN$ multilayered coating was less than one-tenth of those of the single layers. Thus, $Ti_{0.33}Al_{0.67}N/CrN$ multilayered coating had hardness and oxidation resistance far superior to those of its constituent single layers.

Characterization of the Non-Volatiles and Volatiles in Correlation with Flavor Development of Cooked Goat Meat as Affected by Different Cooking Methods

  • Thai-Native×Anglo-Nubian goat meat cooked by grilling (GR), sous vide (SV), and microwave (MW), was compared to fresh meat (Raw) in terms of flavor development. Non-volatile [i.e., free amino acids, nucleotide-related compounds, taste active values (TAVs) and umami equivalency, sugars, lipid oxidation, Maillard reaction products] and volatile compounds, were investigated. Notably, inosine monophosphate and Glu/Gln were the major compounds contributing to umami taste, as indicated by the highest TAVs in all samples. Raw had higher TAVs than cooked ones, indicating that heat-cooking removes these desirable flavor and taste compounds. This could be proportionally associated with the increase in aldehyde, ketone, and nitrogen-containing volatiles in all cooked samples. GR showed the highest thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (1.46 mg malonaldehyde/kg sample) and browning intensity (0.73), indicating the greatest lipid oxidation and Maillard reaction due to the higher temperature among all cooked samples (p<0.05). In contrast, SV and Raw exhibited similar profiles, indicating that low cooking temperatures preserved natural goat meat flavor, particularly the goaty odor. The principal component analysis biplot linked volatiles and non-volatiles dominant for each cooked sample to their unique flavor and taste. Therefore, these findings shed light on cooking method selection based on desirable flavor and preferences.

SiOCH 박막의 열처리에 대한 안정성 검토 (An Inspection of Stability for Annealing SiOCH Thin Flim)

  • The low dielectric SiOCH films were deposited on p-type Si(100) substrates through the dissociation of BTMSM $(((CH_3)_3Si)_2CH_2)$ precursors with oxygen gas by using PECVD method. BTMSM precursor was introduced with the flow rates from 42 to 60 sccm by 2 sccm step into reaction chamber but with the constant flow rate of 60 sccm $O_2$. SiOCH thin films were annealed at $450^{\circ}C$ for 30 minutes. The electrical property of SiOCH thin films was studied by MIS, Al/SiOCH/p-Si(100), structure. Annealed samples showed large reduction of the maximum capacitance yielding low dielectric constant owing to reductions of surface charge density. After exposure at room temperature and atmospheric pressure, dielectric constant of SiOCH films was totally increased. However, annealed SiOCH thin films were more stable than as-deposited SiOCH thin films for natural oxidation.

Hydrogen Production by the Photocatalystic Effects in the Microwave Water Plasma

  • Currently, hydrogen has been produced by Steam Reforming or partial oxidation reforming processes mainly from oil, coal, and natural gas and results in the production of $CO_2$. However, these are influenced greatly on the green house effect of the earth. so it is important to find the new way to produce hydrogen utilizing water without producing any environmentally harmful by-products. In our research, we use microwave water plasma and photocatalyst to improve dissociation rate of water. At low pressure plasma, electron have high energy but density is low, so temperature of reactor is low. This may cause of recombination in the generated hydrogen and oxygen from splitting water. If it want to high dissociation rate of water, it is necessary to control of recombination of the hydrogen and oxygen using photocatalyst. We utilize the photocatalytic material($TiO_2$, ZnO) coated plasma reactor to use UV in the plasma. The quantity of hydrogen generated was measured by a Residual Gas Analyzer.
