The chemical behavior of the trivalent lanthanide$(Pr^{3+}, Eu^{3+}, Gd^{3+} 그리고 Yb^{3+})$complexes with organo-ligand (2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-3,5-heptanedione) has been investigated by the use of UV/Vis-spectrophotometric, magnetics, and electrochemical method. The two or three energy absorption bands are observed by the spectra of these complexes. The magnetitude of crystal field splitting energy, the spin pairing energy and bond stength was obtained from the spectra of the complexes. These are found to be localization, low-spin (or high-spin state, and strong bonding strength. The magnetic dipole moment are found to be diamagnetic complexes (or paramagnetic). The electrochemical behavior of complexes was observed by the use of cyclic voltammetry in aprotic media. These reduction peaks were irreversible two and three step reduction processes by electron transfer.
[ $AIFeO_3$ ]has been studied by x-ray diffraction (XRD), vibrating sample magnetometer, Mossbauer spectroscopy. The crystal structure is found to orthorhombic with the lattice parameters being $a_0=4.983\;{\AA},\;b_0=8.554\;{\AA},\;c_0=9.239\;{\AA}$, Magnetic hysteresis curve for $AIFeO_3$ showed weakly ferromagnetic phase at room temperature and a asymmetric shape dependent on the direction of applied field at low temperature. The Curie temperature determined by the temperature dependence of magnetization is 250 K. Mossbauer spectra of $AIFeO_3$ have been taken from 4.2 K to 295 K. Isomer shift at room temperature are found to be $0.11\~0.32\;mm/s$, which is consistent with ferric state. The absorption lines widths become broader with increasing temperature, which is attributed to the Fe ions distribution of each cation site and anisotropy energy difference of each sublattice.

The purpose of this paper is to discuss the fabrication of $\beta$-PVDF($\beta$-Polyvinylidene fluoride, ${\beta}-PVF_2$) organic thin films using the vapor deposition method. Vapor deposition was performed under the following conditions: the temperature of evaporator, the applied electric field, and the pressure of reaction chamber were $270^{\circ}C$, 142.4 kV/cm, and $2.0{\times}10^{-5}\;Torr$, respectively. The molecular structure of the evaporated organic thin films were evaluated by a FT-IR. The results showed that the characteristic absorption peaks of $\beta$-form crystal increase from 72% to 95.5% with an increase in the substrate temperature. In the analysis of the electric characteristics, the abnormal increases in the relative dielectric constant and the dielectric loss factor in the regions of low frequency and high temperature are known to be caused by inclusion of impurity carriers in the PVDF organic thin films. In order to analyze quantitatively the abnormalities in the conductivity mechanism caused by ionic impurities, the product of the ion density and the mobility that affect the electrical property in polymeric insulators is analyzed. In the case of a specimen produced by varying the substrate temperature from $30^{\circ}C$ to $105^{\circ}C$, the product of mobility and the ion density decreased from $4.626{\times}10^8$ to $8.47{\times}10^7/V{\cdot}cm{\cdot}s$. This result suggests that the higher the substrate temperature is maintained, the better excluded the impurities are, and the more electrically stable material can be obtained.

$CdIn_2S_4$ (110) films were grown on semi-insulating GaAs (100) by a hot wall epitaxy method. Using photocurrent (PC) measurement, the PC spectra in the temperature range of 30 and 10 K appeared as three peaks in the short wavelength region. It was found that three peaks, A-, B-, and C-excitons, correspond to the intrinsic transition from the valence band states of ${\Gamma}_4(z),\;{\Gamma}_5(x),\;and\;{\Gamma}_5(y)$ to the exciton below the conduction band state of ${\Gamma}_1(s)$, respectively. The 0.122 eV crystal field splitting and the 0.017 eV spin orbit splitting were obtained. Thus, the temperature dependence of the optical band gap obtained from the PC measurement was well described by $E_g$(T)=2.7116eV - $(7.65{\times}10^{-4}\;eV/K)T^2$/(425+T). But, the behavior of the PC was different from that generally observed in other semiconductors. The PC intensities decreased with decreasing temperature. This phenomenon had ever been reported at a PC experiment on the bulk crystals grown by the Bridgman method. From the relation of log $J_{ph}$ vs 1/T, where $J_{ph}$ is the PC density, two dominant levels were observed, one at high temperatures and the other at low temperatures. Consequently, the trapping centers due to native defects in the $CdIn_2S_4$ film were suggested to be the causes of the decrease in the PC signal with decreasing temperature.
Titanium, which has excellent strength and toughness characteristics, is increasingly used in the aerospace field. Among the titanium alloys used for body parts, more than 80 % are Ti-6Al-4V alloys with a tensile strength of 931 MPa. The spark plasma sintering (SPS) method is used for solidification molding of powder manufactured by the mechanical milling (MM) method, by sintering at low temperature for a short time. This sintering method avoids coarsening of the fine crystal grains or dispersed particles of the MM powder. To improve the mechanical properties of pure titanium without adding alloying elements, stearic acid was added to pure titanium powder as a process control agent (PCA), and MM treatment was performed. The properties of the MM powder and SPS material produced by solidifying the powder were investigated by hardness measurement, X-ray diffraction, density measurement and structure observation. The processing deformation of the pure titanium powder depends on the amount of stearic acid added and the MM treatment time. TiN was also generated in powder treated by MM 8 h with 0.50 g of added stearic acid, and the hardness of the powder was higher than that of Ti-6Al-4V alloy when treated with MM for 8 h. When the MM-treated powder was solidified in the SPS equipment, TiC was formed by the solid phase reaction. The SPS material prepared as a powder treated with MM 8 h by adding 0.50 g of stearic acid also formed TiN and exhibited the highest hardness of Hv1253.

We prepared a highly sensitive hydrogen (H2) sensor based on Indium oxides (In2O3) porous nanoparticles (NPs) loaded with Platinum (Pt) nanoparticle in the range of 1.6~5.7 at.%. In2O3 NPs were fabricated by microwave irradiation method, and decorations of Pt nanoparticles were performed by electroless plating on In2O3 NPs. Crystal structures, morphologies, and chemical information on Pt-loaded In2O3 NPs were characterized by grazing-incident X-ray diffraction, field-emission scanning electron microscopy, energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, respectively. The effect of the Pt nanoparticles on the H2-sensing performance of In2O3 NPs was investigated over a low concentration range of 5 ppm of H2 at 150-300 ℃ working temperatures. The results showed that the H2 response greatly increased with decreasing sensing temperature. The H2 response of Pt loaded porous In2O3 NPs is higher than that of pristine In2O3 NPs. H2 gas selectivity and high sensitivity was explained by the extension of the electron depletion layer and catalytic effect. Pt loaded porous In2O3 NPs sensor can be a robust manner for achieving enhanced gas selectivity and sensitivity for the detection of H2.

A method for gamma/neutron event classification based on frequency-domain analysis for mixed radiation environments is proposed. In contrast to the traditional charge comparison method for pulse-shape discrimination, which requires baseline removal and pulse alignment, our method does not need any preprocessing of the digitized data, apart from removing saturated traces in sporadic pile-up scenarios. It also features the identification of neutron events in the detector's full energy range with a single device, from thermal neutrons to fast neutrons, including low-energy pulses, and still provides a superior figure-of-merit for classification. The proposed frequency-domain analysis consists of computing the fast Fourier transform of a triggered trace and integrating it through a simplified version of the transform magnitude components that distinguish the neutron features from those of the gamma photons. Owing to this simplification, the proposed method may be easily ported to a real-time embedded deployment based on Field-Programmable Gate Arrays or Digital Signal Processors. We target an off-the-shelf detector based on a small CLYC (Cs2LiYCl6:Ce) crystal coupled to a silicon photomultiplier with an integrated bias and preamplifier, aiming at lightweight embedded mixed radiation monitors and dosimeter applications.
The present microbial reinforcement of rock and soil exhibits limitations, such as uneven reinforcement effectiveness and low calcium carbonate generation rate, resulting in limited solidification strength. This study introduces electroosmosis as a standard microbial grouting reinforcement technique and investigates its solidification effects on microbial-reinforced uranium tailings. The most effective electroosmosis effect on uranium tailings occurs under a potential gradient of 1.25 V/cm. The findings indicate that a weak electric field can effectively promote microbial growth and biological activity and accelerate bacterial metabolism. The largest calcium carbonate production occurred under the gradient of 0.5 V/cm, featuring a good crystal combination and the best cementation effect. Staged electroosmosis and electrode conversion efficiently drive the migration of anions and cations. Under electroosmosis, the cohesion of uranium tailings reinforced by microorganisms increased by 37.3% and 64.8% compared to those reinforced by common microorganisms and undisturbed uranium tailings, respectively. The internal friction angle is also improved, significantly enhancing the uniformity of reinforcement and a denser and stronger microscopic structure. This research demonstrates that MICP technology enhances the solidification effects and uniformity of uranium tailings, providing a novel approach to maintaining the safety and stability of uranium tailings dams.
$BiFeO_3/Pb(Zr_{0.52}Ti_{0.48})O_3$(BFO/PZT) multilayer thin films have been prepared on a Pt/Ti/$SiO_2$/Si(100) substrate by chemical solution deposition. BFO single layer, BFO/PZT bilayer and multilayer thin films were studied for comparison. X-ray diffraction analysis showed that the crystal structure of all films was multi-orientated perovskite phase without amorphous and impurity phase. The leakage current density at 500 kV/cm was reduced by approximately four and five orders of magnitude by bilayer and multilayer structure films, compared with BFO single layer film. The low leakage current density leads to saturated P-E hysteresis loops of bilayer and multilayer films. In BFO/PZT multlayer film, saturated remanent polarization of $44.3{\mu}C/cm^2$ was obtained at room temperature at 1 kHz with the coercive field($2E_c$) of 681.4 kV/cm.
The property of soft magnetism for the Corning glass/non-buffer or buffer Ta/Conetic(NiFeCuMo)/Ta prepared by the ion beam deposition sputtering was studied. The effect of crystal property and post annealing treatment depending on the thickness of Conetic thin films was investigated. The coercivities of Conetic thin films with easy and hard direction along to the applying magnetic field during deposition were compared with each other. The coercivity and magnetic susceptibility of Ta(5 nm)/Conetic(50 nm) thin film were 0.12 Oe and 1.2 ${\times}\;10^4$, respectively. From these results, firstly, the Conetic thin film was more soft magnetism thin film than other one such as permalloy NiFe. Secondly, the usage of soft magnetism Conetic thin film for GMR-SV (giant magneoresistance-spin valve) or MTJ (Megnetic Tunnel Junction) structure in a low magnetic field can be possible.
