X80급 API 강의 바우싱거 효과에 미치는 미세조직의 영향 (The Influence of Microstructure on the Bauschinger Effect in X80 Grade API Steel)

  • API steel is used for line-pipe to transport the oil and natural gas. As the recent trends in the development of API steel are towards the use of larger diameter and thicker plate, many researches have been studied to achieve higher strength, higher toughness and lower yield ratio in API steel. However, the strength of API steel after pipe forming is changed depending on the competition of the Bauschinger effect and work hardening which are affected by the strain history during pipe forming process. So, the purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of microstructure on the Bauschinger effect for API steel. To change the microstructure of API steel we have changed the hot rolling condition and the amounts of V and Cu addition. The compression-tensile test and the microstructure observation by OM and TEM were conducted to investigate the yield strength drop and the correlation between the Bauschinger effect and microstructure of API steel. The experimental results show that the increase of polygonal ferrites volume fraction increases the Baushcinger effect due to the back stress which comes from the increase of mobile dislocation density at polygonal ferrite interior during the compressive deformation. The hot rolling condition was more effective on the Bauschinger effect in API steel than the small amount of V and Cu addition.

  • Effective use of available energy sources is of general concern along with the issues of global warming and unstable oil price. As one of the effort to recover waste heat from industrial facilities effectively, researchers have interest in a technology called organic Rankine cycle(ORC), in which the working fluid is some organic liquid instead of water. Known to have poor efficiency already, this old technology is considered to give an innovative solution to utilizing low grade energy sources, by improving the efficiency. Nano fluidics, coatings and the use of additives are the examples of these efforts. In the present study, we present simulated performance of a horizontal tube type condenser geometry. N-hexanr and isopentane are compared to water vapor case under 1 atm and the inet cooling water temperature of $20^{\circ}C$. EES(Engineering Equations Solver) is used for the present work.

Effects of potato byproduct on growth performance, blood metabolites, and carcass characteristics of Hanwoo steers

  • This study was conducted to investigate effects of a potato byproduct on growth performance, blood metabolites, and carcass characteristics of Hanwoo steers. The palm oil coated potato byproduct was supplemented to the diet of Hanwoo steers to estimate the effect on growth performance, blood metabolites, and carcass characteristics during the late fattening period. Thirteen steers with initial body weight of control ($676.8{\pm}31.7kg$), treatment 1 ($671.8{\pm}46.2kg$) and treatment 2 ($672.8{\pm}31.1kg$) were used for 60 days, respectively. Average daily gain of steers in treatment 2 and control was greater than that in treastment 1 (p > 0.05). All steers in treatment 2 had a grade quality grading system than B in meat quantity and had a meat quality higher than the $1^{st}$ grade. According to the physicochemical analysis of longissimus muscle, treatment 2 had high brightness resulting from high meat quality (p > 0.05), and a decrease in redness and yellowness is seen as a dilution effect due to muscle hypertrophy (p > 0.05). The fatty acid composition showed low levels of linoleic acid (p = 0.039) and arachidonic acid (p = 0.008) in treatment 2. This resulted in lower polyunsaturated fatty acid (PUFA) levels (p = 0.034). On the other hand, high levels of oleic acid resulted in high levels of MUFA (p > 0.05). These results indicate that potato byproduct had similar effects with ${\beta}_2-adrenergic$ agonist (${\beta}_2-AA$). And there was no negative effect on the intramuscular fat. In conclusion, palm oil coated potato byproduct could be potentially used as an alternative growth enhancer.

사료조성 차이가 돼지 생산 및 도체형질에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Feeding Dietary Differences on Growth Performance and Carcass Quality in Finishing Pigs)

  • 비육후기 돼지(LY $\times$ D, 90 kg 전후) 사료에 C는 대조구로 우지 5%, T1은 우지 3%에 들깨유를 2%우지 대체하였으며, T2는 T1에 비타민 E($\alpha$-tocopheryl acetate)를 250 ppm 첨가하였다. T3는 우지 3%에 오징어유를 2% 우지 대체하였으며, T4는 T3에 비타민 E를 250 ppm 첨가하였다. T5는 우지 3%에 CLA 2% 우지 대체 첨가 급여한 돼지의 생산 및 도체형 질을 조사한 결과는 다음과 같다. 일당 증체량은 T2와 T3가 다른 구들보다 높았으며(P<0.05) 사료요구율은 처리간에 유의적인 차이는 없으나 T2와 T3가 각각 3.71, 3.80으로 다소 양호하였다. 생체에서 등지방두께는 개시 체중시에는 처리간에 유의적인 차이를 보이지 않았으나 출하체중 시에는 C가 다른 처리구들보다 유의적으로 두꺼워 개시체중 대비 출하체중 시의 등지방두께 증가폭 역시 C가 넓었다. 배최장근 단면적은 개시체중 시나 출하체중 시에는 유의적인 차이는 없었으나 증가면에서는 T5가 T2에 비해서 약 2배 정도인 13.35 $\textrm{cm}^2$로 가장 높게 나타났다. 혈액 중 Triglyceride함량은 C가 다른 처리구들보다 높았으며, T3, T4, T5가 유의적으로 낮았다(P<0.05). 총 콜레스테롤 함량은 처리구들간에 유의적인 차이를 보이지 않았으며, 총 콜레스테롤 대비 HDL-콜레스테롤 비율은 비타민 E를 첨가하지 않은 구보다 첨가한 구들이 높게 나타났다. 동맥경화지수(AI: Atherogenic index)는 T3가 가장 높고 T2가 가장 낮았으며, 들깨유와 오징어유에 비타민 E 첨가로 낮아졌다. 도체형질에서 지육율과 등지방두께 및 등급은 처리간에 유의적인 차이를 보이지 않았으나(p>0.05) 등급에 있어 T2는 4.67, C와 T3는 4.29, T1과 T5는 4.00 수준이었다.operational requirements and typical plasma parameters have been determined. 시판세제의 세정성과 Rolling-up의 상관성에 관한 연구 (A study on the Correlationship between Detergency of Commercial Detergents and Rolling-up)

  • The purpose of this study was, to estimate the detergency of commercial detergent and to examine the interrelationship between detergency and detergent characteristics, detergent concentration, fiber characteristics, and Rolling-up phenomenon which is the major removal mechanism of oily soil. A mixture of oleic acid-olive oil was used as oily soil. The detergency was estimated by analysis of oleic acid on cotton ana polyester fabrics before and after washing by means of liquid scintillation counting. The Rolling-up of oily soil from PET film was observed and change of contact angle and removal time were measured. The results were as follows ; 1. In the case of soaps and powder synthetic detergents, the optimum concentrations we-re about $0.2\~0.3\%$. And detergencies of liquid synthetic detergents were considerably low, and the detergency was continually increased up with increasing concentration to $0.5\%$, which seemed to be caused by the lower pH than that of soap and powder synthetic deter-gent solutions. 2. As the effect of external or internal fiber structure; the detergency of cotton was lower than that of polyester. 3. In the observation of Rolling-up, the contact angle increased and the Rolling-up time became shorter with increasing detergent concentrations ($0.05\~0.5\%$). And it was confirmed that detergency was increased with Rolling-up effect. In addition, the study on the actual laundry condition was studied using the questionaire. From the results, about $76\%$ of households used the concentration of detergent roughly or excessively and housewives were highly concerned on the recommended dose, but grade of practice were very low.

폐플라스틱 열분해유의 납사 전환을 위한 수첨처리 및 수첨분해 촉매연구 (Study of Hydrotreating and Hydrocracking Catalysts for Conversion of Waste Plastic Pyrolysis Oil to Naphtha)

  • 플라스틱의 폐기물 및 화학원료로의 재활용 분야에 대한 사회적 관심이 급격히 높아지고 있는 상황에서, 폐플라스틱 열분해유를 이용한 납사 생산은 가장 기술 장벽을 낮춰 시대적 요구에 가장 빠르게 대응할 수 있는 방법이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 폐플라스틱 열분해유를 이용한 수첨처리, 수첨분해에 대한 연구를 진행하였다. 자세하게는 수첨처리를 통한 불순물 제거, 수첨분해를 통한 납사 수율 증대를 목적으로 연구를 진행하였다. 그 결과 폐플라스틱 열분해유 중 200 ℃ 이하의 비점을 가지는 납사유분은 황화물계 촉매를 이용한 370 ℃, 2시간 조건에서의 수첨처리를 통해 90 wt% 이상의 황 및 질소 전환율, 염소의 경우 거의 100 wt%에 가까운 전환율을 확인하였고, 200 ℃ 이상 비점을 가지는 폐플라스틱 열분해 중질유분은 NiMo/ZSM-5 촉매를 이용한 400 ℃, 2시간의 수첨분해를 통해 35.7 wt%의 납사 수율을 얻을 수 있음을 확인하였다.

함(含)우라늄 흑색(黑色)세일 분포지역(分布地域)에서의 유독성원소(有毒性元素)들의 분산(分散)에 관한 지구화학적(地球化學的) 연구(硏究) (Dispersion of Toxic Elements in the Area Covered with Uranium-Bearing Black Shales in Korea)

  • Surficial dispersion patterns of heavy metals and toxic elements (U, Mo, Cu, Zn, Fe, Mn, Co, Cr, V, Ni, Pb, and Cd) were investigated in the Dukpyungri, Goesan area covered with low grade uranium-bearing black shales. Maximum abundance of U in the black shale was 455ppm. Radioactivity was counted at a maximum of 7cps in black shales, and was less than 0.5cps in shales, slates, and oil shales of the control areas. Enrichment of Mo, V, Cu, Zn, Cd, and Pb in black shales is particularly characteristic compared with shales, slates, and oil shales of the control areas, whereas contents of Mn, Cr, Co, and Th in all rock samples tend to be almost similar. Residual top soils (0~15cm depth) over black shales show high contents of Mo, Cu, Zn, Ni, Cd, and V in comparison with the control areas. Contents of trace elements in subsoils (15~30cm depth) were higher about one and half times than those in topsoils. Average contents of Mo, Cu, Pb, Zn, Cd and V in garden soil and playground soil of an elementary school in Dukpyungri, Goesan area, were high about two to fifteen times compared with the control areas. Contents of trace elements in stream sediments were higher from two to eight times than those in residual soils. Sodium, AI, K, V, Cr, and Fe were more enriched in the roots of pine than in the twigs of pine. Contents of Li, AI, V, Ni, Cd, Fe, and Co were higher in the roots of azalea than in the twigs of azalea. Enrichment of P, Ca, and Mg was remarkable in the twigs of both pine and azalea. Biological absorption coefficients for essential elements (Zn, P, Mn, Ca and K)tend to be high, whereas those for the non-essential elements.(Ba, Ti, V, and Mo) and toxic elements(Cr, Co, Pb and Ni) be low. Less mobile elements (Pd, Cd, and Co) tend to show anomalies with higher contrast than more mobile elements(Mo, V, Zn, Cu and Ni) in the area covered with black shales.

유기랭킨사이클용 소형 스크롤 팽창기 제작 및 성능 특성 연구 (Fabrication and Study on the Performance Characteristics of a Scroll Expander for Organic Rankine Cycle)

  • 본 연구에서는 개방형 무급유식 스크롤 압축기를 개조하여 유기랭킨사이클(ORC)용 소형의 스크롤 팽창기를 설계 및 제작하였다. 팽창기 케이스는 직육면체 형태로 총 체적은 $0.0394m^3$이며, 성능특성 연구를 위해 작동유체로 R245fa를 사용하는 ORC 사이클을 구축하고, 다양한 팽창기 입구압력 및 회전속도 조건에서 성능시험을 수행하였다. 성능시험에서 획득한 열역학적 물성값을 스크롤 팽창기의 semi-empirical 시뮬레이션 모델에 적용해 파라미터를 계산하고, 열역학적 분석을 통해 계산한 실험값과 시뮬레이션값의 비교를 수행하였다.

버어리종 잎담배의 숙성기간이 색상, 화학성분 및 끽미에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Aging Period on Chromatic, Chemical and Organoleptic Properties of Burley Leaf Tobacco)

  • This study was carried out to examinate the effect of aging period on chromatic, chemical and organoleptic characteristics, and to evaluate of optimum aging period for each grade in burley leaf tobacco. The leaf tobaccos were produced in 2000, and threshed, redried and packed in carton box under the current methods. Four grades of processed leaf(A3T, B1T, C1W and D3W) were stored during 24 months (May 10, 2001 to April 31, 2003) in warehouse of Chungju Leaf Tobacco Processing Factory. The leaf tobaccos were sampled at three month intervals for analysis of chromatic, chemical and organoleptic properties. pH values of four grades, and Yellow(b) of A3T and BIT were also significantly decreased during the aging. Filling values, tar, nicotine and CO contents of tobacco smoke, and puff number of cigarettes were not significantly changed during the aging. Positive correlation coefficients were significantly observed between irritation of the calculated attributes from contents of volatile oil components in leaf tobacco and that of the panel sensory attributes. The ratio of maximum change in irritation attribute was larger than that in taste attribute during aging. The calculated irritations of 18~24 months aging for A3T and B1T were significantly lower than zero-aging, while those of C1W and D3W were not significant among aging periods. The panel irritations of 12~15 months aging for four grades were low tendency. The results suggest that decrease of aging period for thin leaf from 21~24 to 12~15 months may be beneficial to save storage cost in burley tobacco.

Pilot 규모 산성가스 제거공정 운전 특성 (Operation Characteristics of Pilot-scale Acid Gas Removal Process)

  • The gasification technology is a very flexible and versatile technology to produce a wide variety products such as electricity, steam, hydrogen, Fisher-Tropsch(FT) diesels, Dimethyl Ether(DME), methanol and SNG(Synthetic Natural Gas) with near-zero pollutant emissions. Gasification converts coal and other low-grade feedstocks such as biomass, wastes, residual oil, petroleum coke, etc. to a very clean and usable syngas. Syngas is produced from gasifier including CO, $H_2$, $CO_2$, $N_2$, particulates and smaller quantities of $CH_4$, $NH_3$, $H_2S$, COS and etc. After removing pollutants, syngas can be variously used in energy and environment fields. The pilot-scale coal gasification system has been operated since 1994 at Ajou University in Suwon, Korea. The pilot-scale gasification facility consists of the coal gasifier, the hot gas filtering system, and the acid gas removal (AGR) system. The acid gas such as $H_2S$ and COS is removed in the AGR system before generating electricity by gas engine and producing chemicals like Di-methyl Ether(DME) in the catalytic reactor. The designed operation temperature and pressure of the $H_2S$ removal system are below $50^{\circ}C$ and 8 kg/$cm^2$. The iron chelate solution is used as an absorbent. $H_2S$ is removed below 0.1 ppm in the H2S removal system.
