We have implemented a system of falling weight impact tester. Absorbed energy of orthotropic composites with using T300 fiber, which are composed of the same fiber and stacking number is higher than that of quasi-isotropic specimen over impact energy 7J, but in case of using T700 fiber, much difference does not show. Also, absorbed energy of orthotropic composites with using T300 fiber, which are composed of stacking number and orientation became more than that of T700 fiber specimen; however great change doesn't show in case of quasi-isotropic specimens. Delamination area of impacted specimens was measured with ultrasonic C-scanner to find correlation between impact energy and delamination area. Delamination area and frequency responses was evaluated between impacted and unimpacted specimens. There is a strong correlation between frequency responses and impact-induced delamination. The presence and scale of damages have been investigated based on the variations of frequency responses.

The presence of cavitations under pavements or behind tunnel linings of concrete is likely to result in collapse. One method of detecting such voids by non-destructive means is low frequency type radar(GPR). By the way, the size and thickness of small cavitation can't be detected by the present radar technology with low frequency and low resolution when it apply to civil structures like that. To overcome these problems and limitations, this study aims to develope and propose a new analysis method for estimating the depth, cross-sectional size and thickness of cavitations using low frequency radar. A new proposed method is based on the experiments that are carried out for analyzing the correlation between the measurement values(the amplitudes of radar return) of low frequency radar and various type of cavitations. In this process, the threshold value for radar image processing which aims to represent only cavitations to be fitted size can be obtained. As the results, it is clarified that a proposed method has a possibility of estimating cavitation depth, size and thickness with good accuracy in laboratory scale.
In this paper, we achieve implementation of a Time-Frequency Domain Reflectometry(TFDR) system through comparatively low performance(100MS/s) PCI extensions for Instrumentation(PXI). The TFDR is the general methodology of Time Domain Reflectometry(TDR) and Frequency Domain Reflectometry(FDR). This methodology is robust in Gaussian noises, because the fixed frequency bandwidth is used. Moreover, the methodology can get more information of the fault by using the normalized time-frequency cross correlation function. The Arbitrary Waveform Generator(AWG) module generates the input signal, and the digital oscilloscope module acquires the input and reflected signals, while PXI controller module performs the control of the total PXI modules and execution of the main algorithm. The maximum range of measurement and the blind spot are calculated according ta variations of time duration and frequency bandwidth. On the basis of above calculations, the algorithm and the design of input signals used in the TFDR system are verified by real experiments. The correlation function is added to the TDR methodology for reduction of the blind spot in the TFDR system.

This paper presents a new and robust technique for a coarse frequency offset estimation in OFDM systems. As an evaluation of the proposed algorithm, we apply it to Eureka 147 DAB system. The proposed coarse frequency offset estimation algorithm is based on the differential detection technique between adjacent subcarriers to eliminate the phase shift effects of symbol timing offset and fractional frequency offset. A coarse frequency offset is determined from the correlation output between a received interarrier differential phase reference symbol and several locally generated but frequency-shifted intercarrier differential phase reference symbols. The performance of our estimation algorithm is evaluated by means of computer simulation and is compared with those of previous proposed algorithms for DAB transmission modes I, II, III, and IV. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm generates extremely accurate estimates with low complexity irrespective of the symbol timing offset.

In wireless communication systems, a frequency offset exist at the received signal due to the transmitter-receiver oscillator mismatch and Doppler effect in mobile environments. Those offsets rotate the received signal's phase and degrade the receiver performance. Hence, estimation and compensation of the frequency offset is crucial at the receiver. This paper proposes a new frequency offset estimation technique based on partial correlation. The proposed method requires less computational complexity than that of the conventional method. In addition, since the proposed one can estimate a wide range of frequency offset without estimation accuracy loss, the application of the method is desirable for the communication environments that have a large frequency offset. In order to verify the performance of our proposed scheme, a series of computer simulations have been carried out and compared against those of the conventional method.
It was possible to synthesize the low flow frequency curves for ungauged stations of Geum river system through a correlation analysis using the morphological parameters such as basin area, bnsin relief, total stream length of first-order stream and the 7-day, 10-year low flow.
Objectives: The objective of this study was to identify factors associated with adolescent obesity, as well as any new factors that correlated with a change in the rate of obesity over time. Methods: The study used 5-yearly data collected by the Korea Youth Risk Behavior Survey starting from the year 2006 up until 2021 (data from 2nd, 7th, 11th, and 17th surveys were analyzed). Factors such as demographics, dietary factors, health behavioral factors, and mental health factors were studied. All data were analyzed using IBM SPSS 27.0, employing chi-square tests and multiple logistic regression analysis. Results: This study included data from a total of 255,200 participants. Factors contributing to obesity varied with time. Over the survey duration of 15 years, low academic achievement, parents with low levels of education, low frequency of fruit consumption, low frequency of fast food intake, long periods of being seated, and high levels of stress were significantly associated with a high rate of obesity. Factors that showed a new correlation with an increase in obesity rates included living with single parents, low frequency of muscle strengthening exercises, and experiencing intense sadness and despair in the past year. Factors that were correlated with a change in obesity rates over time included household economic status, frequency of carbonated beverage consumption, frequency of intense physical activity, and frequency of alcohol consumption. Breakfast intake and smoking were not significantly associated with obesity rates in the 15-year period. Conclusions: While several factors associated with obesity remained consistent over time, several new factors have emerged in response to social, economic, and environmental changes contributed to a change in obesity rate over time. Therefore, to prevent and manage adolescent obesity, continuous research into the new emergent factors contributing to obesity is needed.

Precipitation variability in Korea is mainly influenced by climate circulation such as sea surface temperature, not a local convection. Therefore, this study investigates relationship between monthly precipitation of 61 station observed by Korea Meteorological Administration and global sea surface temperatures (SSTs). The main components of monthly precipitation in Korea are extracted by a method which consists of the principal analysis combined with the cluster analysis, to examine the correlation between monthly rainfalls and SSTs. The relationships between main components of monthly precipitation and SSTs exists in Pacific Ocean. At the result of Wavelet Transform analysis, The 2-4 year band have a strong wavelet power spectrum and the low frequency. the correlation coefficient between low frequency components of monthly rainfalls and SSTs calculated bigger then correlation coefficient between main components and SSTs. Hence, these results propose a prediction possibility of monthly precipitations using the varition of SSTs.
When an incoming Global Positioning System (GPS) signal is acquired, pull-in search performs a finer search of the Doppler frequency of the incoming signal so that phase lock loop can be quickly stabilized and the receiver can produce an accurate pseudo-range measurement. However, increasing the accuracy of the Doppler frequency estimation often involves a higher computational cost for weaker GPS signals, which delays the position fix. In this paper, we show that the Doppler frequency detectable by a long coherent auto-correlation can be accurately estimated using a complex-weighted sum of consecutive short coherent auto-correlation outputs with a different Doppler frequency hypothesis, and by exploiting this we propose a noise resistant, low-cost and highly accurate Doppler frequency and phase estimation technique based on a reverse directional application of the finite rate of innovation (FRI) technique. We provide a performance and computational complexity analysis to show the feasibility of the proposed technique and compare the performance to conventional techniques using numerous Monte Carlo simulations.

This paper presents the results of power spectra using the fundamental and low frequency harmonic components of leakage current waveform to study aging on contaminated EPDM insulator(was serviced during 1997-2001, region Pohang, korea) under salt fog conditions. Experiments have been conducted in the chamber salt fog and at the 16KVrms. The salt contents adjusted as 0g,25g,50g and 75g per liter of deionized water. The onset of dry-band arcing on polymer insulators could be determined by signal processing the low frequency harmonics components. A correlation has been found between the fundamental and low harmonic components of power spectra on leakage current. Where aging could be associated with an increase in the level of both the fundamental and low frequency harmonics components of leakage current. Surface aging for contaminated EPDM insulators occurred when the fundamental component of leakage current was greater then some level On the other hand, when the polymer insulator approached failure, the fundamental component of leakage current reached relatively high values and low frequency harmonics components of the leakage current trended to decrease. The results suggest that both the fundamental and low frequency harmonics of leakage current can be used as a tool to determine both the beginning of aging and before flashover, end of life EPBM insulator in salt fog.
