  • In this study, we propose a method to improve the durability of rotorcraft switches. Additionally, the appropriate verification test results are presented. As a result of analyzing the defective switch, it was found that the contact was defective due to long-term use. It was confirmed that stable contact of the terminal is necessary to achieve appropriate performance. We manufactured a switch with one spring and a switch with two springs. As a result of the verification test using this, it was found that the durability of the improved shape was improved by 15 % compared to the existing shape. Those numbers have merit from an operational perspective. This has the effect of reducing the number of replacements per aircraft.

  • This study examined the long-term durability of PC boxes, which was manufactured by low-carbon eco-friendly concrete using an alternative binder to cement and alternative fine aggregate to sand and microwave heat curing system to reduce the construction cost of a near-surface transit system. Based on the test results, the initial compressive strength of microwave heat cured concrete was higher than that of the steam cured concrete, but those were similar in the long-term age. In addition, there was no significant difference between the two curing conditions in the chemical resistance and the freeze-thawing resistance, and the chloride ion penetration level of the concrete cured by two methods was very low. Therefore, low-carbon eco-friendly concrete and microwave heat curing technology are expected to contribute to the economic construction of a near-surface transit system, and reduce carbon dioxide emissions and environmental impact.

  • With the recent continuous expansion of subways, newly created subways tend to have lower locations and wider sections. Furthermore. since box structures and evacuating tunnels are classified into a category of mass-concrete. the thermal-stress, emitted from the inside. causes cracks to structures from the inception of constructing. In this paper, thermal-stress analysis and durability evaluation of box structure were carried out to investigate relationship between durability and parameter causing the heat of hydration. Through the examination, this paper tries to find out satisfactory solutions to regulated thermal crack and ensure the required duration period. The results of this paper showed that to control thermal crack and guarantee the required duration period it was more effective to use low-heat-portland cement and moderateheat-portland cement. As cement volume due to reduction of water-cement ratio increased, the possibility of thermal cracks occurrence increased but results of durability evaluation was different depending on evaluation method. The results showed that the appropriate water-cement ratio to control the heat of hydration and satisfy the required durability was $45\∼55\%$. And it was showed that during placement of concrete blocks ambient temperature affect the heat of hydration. thermal crack and long-term durability largely and when concrete was placed at low temperature to control thermal crack. it need to try to guarantee the required duration period. Henceforth, by studying not only internal and external conditions, such as the relative humidity and the unit weight. but also methods, to evaluate durability, in accordance with domestic situations, more reasonable design of durability should be achieved.

  • Recently, as people's interest in wood has increased, the use of wood as household and landscape decking materials has increased. As the deck material, imported wood such as synthetic wood, Ipe, and Malas was used in addition to the existing preserved wood, but recently deck use has been activated as part of the activation of domestic materials. As an important quality factor in the selection of such decking materials, various durability along with weatherability for long - term use is required for maintenance. Generally used tropical hardwoods have excellent weatherability and durability without additional preservative treatment. However, the domestic larch is a wood species with a higher specific gravity and durability than ordinary conifers. However, it has not yet been used as a deck material due to lack of comparative studies on its characteristics. Therefore, hardness and durability of wood were measured using six specimens of Ipe, Massaranduba, Malas, Douglas-fir, Larch and Torrefied-Larch. Density Profile was used to measure the density, and Brinell hardness test and resistance test against momentary impact were carried out for the test of resistance to static load. Also, The hardness and durability of wood were measured by castor test with resistance test against dynamic load, as well as, nail down test by experiment on surface hardness and durability. As a result of the experiment, the hardness was increased in proportion to the density, and it was confirmed that the imported lumber was harder and durable than the domestic larch.

  • Development and application of structural health monitoring system in Korea have become active since the early 1990's. In earlier applications, health monitoring systems were installed in several existing bridges in order to collect initial field data by full scale load capacity test for design verification and subsequently monitor long-term performance and durability of the bridge as part of an inspection and maintenance program. Recently, modem and integrated monitoring systems have been introduced in most of the newly constructed long-span bridges since the design stage. This paper outlines the progresses and applications of monitoring systems in Korea for both existing and newly constructed bridges and describes their aims and characteristics.

  • Recent interest in the increased structural performance and durability evaluation of this concrete structure in a salt damage environment is increasing. The most secure and reliable method of accelerated corrosion test is a method to carry out the rebar corrosion monitoring can be exposed directly to the marine test site exposure. However, long-term exposure testinghas the disadvantage that a long period is necessary. So, a lot of research on RC of salt damage environment have beenpromoted as alternatives to replace this. However, accelerated corrosion test, in the short term only is appropriate and is but an accelerated test method to evaluate the critical chlorine concentration, there is a difficult problem that you still get the answer. It is one of the correlation problems accelerated test correspond to a certain period of exposure environment. Therefore, in this study, to clarify the differences rebar corrosion beginning, through the actual corrosion accelerated test in corrosion time and laboratory test chamber of the structure of the marine environment results in both environments, it is an object of correlation coefficient derived.

  • Purpose: To determine the long-term efficacy of the anti-tumor necrosis factor (TNF) agents, infliximab (IFX) and adalimumab (ADA), in pediatric luminal Crohn's disease (CD) by performing a systematic literature review. Methods: An electronic search was performed in Medline, Embase, and the Cochrane Library from inception to September 26, 2019. Eligible studies were cohort studies with observation periods that exceeded 1 year. Studies that reported time-to-event analyses were included. Events were defined as discontinuation of anti-TNF therapy for secondary loss of response. We extracted the probabilities of continuing anti-TNF therapy 1, 2, and 3 years after initiation. Results: In total, 2,464 papers were screened, 94 were selected for full text review, and 13 studies (11 on IFX, 2 on ADA) met our eligibility criteria for inclusion. After 1 year, 83-97% of patients were still receiving IFX therapy. After 2 and 3 years the probability of continuing IFX therapy decreased to 67-91% and 61-85%, respectively. In total, 5 of the 11 studies subgrouped by concomitant medication consistently showed that the probabilities of continuing IFX therapy in patients with prolonged immunomodulator use were higher than those in patients on IFX monotherapy. Conclusion: This review of real-world evidence studies confirms the long-term therapeutic benefit of IFX therapy in diverse cohorts of children with luminal CD. Moreover, it supports the view that combination therapy with an immunomodulator prolongs the durability of IFX therapy in patients who previously failed to recover following first-line therapy. The limited number of time-to-event studies in patients on ADA prevented us from drawing definite conclusions about its long-term efficacy.

  • An experimental study is carried out to investigate the characteristics of concrete containing high volume fly ash. The compressive and tensile strength of fly ash concrete is slightly lower than those of ordinary concrete between 7and 28 days, however, the long-term compressive strength is significantly higher at 180 days. In durability, the high volume fly ash concretes are generally higher resistance of freeze and thaw and lowe chloride penetration, however, the depth of carbonation is increased with increasing fly ash content.
