Digital Virtual Manufacturing is a technology to facilitate effective product developments and agile productions by digital model representing the physical and logical schema and the behavior of real manufacturing system, and it includes product, resources, processes and plant. For successful applications of this technology, a digital virtual factory as a well-designed and integrated environment is essential. In this research, we constructed a sophisticated digital virtual factory of a Korean automotive company's press shop. For efficient constructions of a digital virtual factory useful to kinematic simulations and visualizations, we analyzed entire business process and detailed activities of press engineering. Also, we evaluated geometries, structures, characteristics and motions of a plant and machines in press shop. The geometric model and related data of a virtual press shop are built and managed by a modeling standard defined in this paper. The virtual manufacturing simulation of press machines is conducted to evaluate kinematic motions, cycle time and locations of components using geometric models and related data. It's for interference checks and productivity improvements. We expect that this virtual press shop helps us to achieve great savings in time and cost in many manufacturing preparation activities in the new car development process of automotive companies.

A programming education has favorable influence on creative / logical thinking and problem solving ability of students. However, students typically have to spend too much effort in learning basic grammar and the usage model of programming languages, which negatively affect their eagerness in learning. In this respect, we proposed to apply the 'Scratch' using the Creative Problem Solving(CPS) Teaching Model; Scratch is an easy-to-learn and intuitive Educational Programming Language(EPL) that helps improving the problem solving ability of the class. Then we verified the effect of Scratch EPL through the design of both pretest and posttest for a subject group. In summary, the CPS based Scratch EPL was shown to significantly improve the problem solving ability and also help them develop favorable attitude in programming.
Fundamental failure mode in a laminated composite pinned-joint is proposed to assess damage resulting from stress concentration in the plate. The joint area is a region with stress concentrations thus a complicated stress state exists. The modeling of damage in a laminated composite pinned-joint presents many difficulties because of the complexity of the failure process. In order to model progressive from initial to final, finite element methods are used rather than closed form stress analyses. Failure analysis must be a logical combination of suitable failure criteria and appropriate material properties degradation rules. In this study, the material properties which were obtained in previous study, the preparing process of the bearing strength test for a pinned joint CFRP composite plate subjected to in-plane loading at low temperature, and the FEM result of progressive damage model using ANSYS program are summarized to assess the structural safety of CFRP plate used in the magnetic supporting post of KSTAR(Korea Superconducting Tokamak Advanced Research).

Information subject in the revision educational curriculum actually devoted a good deal of space to increase problem-solving ability through programming learning. However, it is not easy for learners to be immersed in the programming teaching by using only computers, which leads to the heavy logical burden in learning. Therefore, many studies are being carried out on the programming teaching by using robots. Moreover, smartphones have been rapidly widespread in the past few years; as a result, the present immersion situation in smartphones and the side effect problems are on the rise. This study tried to develop a programming teaching model to have a significant synergy effect in programming teaching by using robots with the immersion effect in smartphones. This paper attempts to improve programming teaching effectively by introducing the special feature of smartphones: the immersion greatly needed to programming teaching.
A new online multi-layer integrated routing (MLIR) scheme that combines IP (electrical) layer routing with WDM (optical) layer routing is investigated. It is a highly efficient and cost-effective routing scheme viable for the next generation integrated optical Internet. A new simplified weighted graph model for the integrated optical Internet consisted of optical routers with multi-granularity optical-electrical hybrid switching capability is firstly proposed. Then, based on the proposed graph model, we develop an online integrated routing scheme called differentiated weighted fair algorithm (DWFA) employing adaptive admission control (routing) strategies with the motivation of service/bandwidth differentiation, which can jointly solve multi-layer routing problem by simply applying the minimal weighted path computation algorithm. The major objective of DWFA is fourfold: 1) Quality of service (QoS) routing for traffic requests with various priorities; 2) blocking fairness for traffic requests with various bandwidth granularities; 3) adaptive routing according to the policy parameters from service provider; 4) lower computational complexity. Simulation results show that DWFA performs better than traditional overlay routing schemes such as optical-first-routing (OFR) and electrical-first-routing (EFR), in terms of traffic blocking ratio, traffic blocking fairness, average traffic logical hop counts, and global network resource utilization. It has been proved that the DWFA is a simple, comprehensive, and practical scheme of integrated routing in optical Internet for service providers.
Recently with increase of data in the Internet, platform technologies that can process huge data effectively such as Google platform and Hadoop are regarded as worthy of notice. In this kind of platform, there exist network I/O overheads to send task outputs due to the MapReduce operation which is a programming model to support parallel computation in the large cluster system. In this paper, we suggest applying of TIPC (Transparent Inter-Process Communication) protocol for reducing network I/O overheads and increasing network performance in the distributed computing environments. TIPC has a lightweight protocol stack and it spends relatively less CPU time than TCP because of its simple connection establishment and logical addressing. In this paper, we analyze main features of the Hadoop-based distributed computing system, and we build an experimental model which can be used for experiments to compare the performance of various protocols. In the experimental result, TIPC has a higher bandwidth and lower CPU overheads than other protocols.
The designer get through a doorstep of ideation to obtain a design concept, which consequently achieves the successful design. However, the ideation with creativeness may not always be given as much as an effort is made. It is readily recognized as the ideation released is naturally limited to a resonable and logical frame structure. Conversely, the successful ideation can be obtained through illogical thought given in a while. The thinking method suggested in effect preview can thus satisfy the demand of lateral thinking, which can lead to the creativeness as a thinking model as well as amenably advertising concept in a final step of advertising plan. Finally, it is concluded that from the brain function theory, the unique role of each side of brain can not practically influence on an art work performance successfully achieved.
OpenADR is a national standard communication protocol of demand response service. OpenADR uses XML message, called a payload, to support logical transaction of demand response service. For this purpose, OpenADR defines a XML element as transaction identifier which is called requestID. Unfortunately, OpenADR 2.0b profile specification describes some information about requestID but, it is not enough for understanding properly. Ambiguous definition of payload transaction makes vulnerabilities of implementing VEN & VTN and confuses mapping OpenADR 2.0b protocol into other smart grid protocols. Therefore, this paper redefines payload transaction to solve an ambiguous information of OpenADR 2.0b profile specification, proposes a model of analyzing payload transaction, and shows how to detect a payload transaction vulnerability in real-world.
This study investigates the ontology-based public participation GIS(PPGIS). The major reason that ontology-based GIS has attracted attention in semantic communication in recent year is due to the wide availability of geographical variable and the imminent need for turning such recommendation into useful geographical knowledge. Therefore, this study has been focused on designing and implementing the pilot tested system for public participation GIS. The applicability of the pilot tested was validated through a simulation experiment for history tourism in Guri city Gyeongi-do, Focused on the methodology, the life cycle model which involves regional statues and user recognition, can be viewed as an important preprocessing step(specification, conceptualization, formalization, integration and implementation) for recommended geographical knowledge discovery by axiom. Focusing on practicality, ontology in this study would be recommended for geographical knowledge through reasoning. In addition, ontology-based public participation GIS would show integration epistemological and ontological approach, and be utilized as an index which is connected with semantic communication. The results of the pilot system was applied to the study area, which was a part of scenario. The model was carried out using axiom of logical constraint in the meaning of human-activity.
The ubiquitous computing made it happen to easily take cognizance of context, which includes user's location, status, behavior patterns and surrounding places. And it allows providing the catered service, designed to improve the quality and the interaction between the provider and its customers. The personalized recommendation service needs to obtain logical reasoning to interpret the context information based on user's interests. We researched a model that connects to the practical value to users for their daily life; information about restaurants, based on several mobile contexts that conveys the weather, time, day and location information. We also have made various approaches including the accurate rating data review, the equation of Naïve Bayes to infer user's behavior-patterns, and the recommendable places pre-selected by preference predictive algorithm. This paper joins a vibrant conversation to demonstrate the excellence of this approach that may prevail other previous rating method systems.
