  • In this paper we present Logical Evolution method which is a new teaming algorithm for the concepts expressed as binary logic function. We try to solve some problems of Inductive Learning algorithms through Logical Evolution. First, to be less affected from limited prior knowledge, it generates features using the gained informations during learning process and learns the concepts with these features. Second, the teaming is done using not the whole example set but the individual example, so even if new problem or new input-output variables are given, it can use the previously generated features. In some cases these old features can make the teaming process more efficient. Logical Evolution method consists of 5 operations which are selected and performed by the logical evaluation procedure for feature generation and learning process. To evaluate the performance of the present algorithm, we make experiments on MONK data set and a newly defined problem.

  • During the past decade, integrated stratigraphy has been effectively applied to many sedimentary basins to analyze stratigraphic response to tectonic evolution. This application has been beneficial to hydrocarbon exploration in the basins because it provides a better understanding of temporal and spatial relationships of hydrocarbon source and reservoir rocks as a function of basin evolution. Like the maturation, migration, and trapping of hydrocarbons, ore-forming processes in hydrothermal deposits may be causally linked to particular phases of basin evolution. Consequently, applying integrated stratigraphy to mineral exploration may be a logical and helpful approach to understanding ore-forming processes and predicting their occurrence, location, and origin. • This study intended to analyze whether the system of voucher system, which was introduced as a policy tool to expand social services, was dependent or evolving through the research methodology of historical institutionalism. The voucher system is being introduced to emphasize the user's focus in the existing supplier-centered service provision system, but problems with the existing system have been found so far. We found that despite the shift in welfare paradigm from the remaining welfare supply to universal welfare in the past, the company was partially following the existing supplier-centered social service system. However, We found that new instruments for establishing legal systems and the path evolution factors are now being developed and matured within the voucher system. In other words, it was possible to predict that the voucher system would become more positive and mature in the future through logical changes in the system. Based on the results of the analysis of the voucher system, policy suggestions for policy values and objectives that were initially oriented toward the system were presented.

  • The "evolution" of a thing, a custom, an organ is thus by no means its progressus toward a goal, even less a logical progressus by the shortest route and with the least expendit ure of force, but a succession of more or less profound, mutually independent processes of subduing, plus the resistances they encounter, the attempts at transformation for the purpose of defense and reaction, and the results of successful counteractions. The form is fluid, but the "meaning" is even more so (Friedrich W. Nietzsche).

  • The evolution of the function concept was delineated in terms of the 17th and 18th Centuries' dependent nature of function, and the 19th and 20th Centuries' arbitrary and univalent nature of function. According to mathematics educators' beliefs about the value of the function concept in school mathematics, certain definitions of the concept tend to be emphasized. This study discusses three types - genetical (dependence), logical (settheoretical), analogical (machine/equations) - of definition of function and their values.

  • The ecosystem of the Library has been radically changing in the advent of ubiquitous information service technology. We are already aware of the digital library due to popularizing digital information resources and we are impressed with Library 2.0 and Social Semantic Digital Library of user-centered, service-oriented library. We summarize the ultimate goal of the evolution of library systems as knowledge services and propose a logical model of library system for the realization of knowledge services. This local model can be applied for a library framework to harmonize the diverse knowledge resources, active users with participation and collaboration, the innovation of library business and ubiquitous information service technologies to achieve the missions of library in knowledge-intensive society.

  • Modelling and fitting the spectral energy distribution (SED) of galaxies or regions of galaxies is one of the most useful methods available to the astronomer nowadays. By modelling the SEDs and comparing the models to the observations, we can collect important information on the physical processes at play in the formation and evolution of galaxies. The models allow to follow the evolution of the galaxies from their formation on. The versatility of code is crucial because of the diversity of galaxies. The analysis is only relevant and useful if the models can correctly reproduce this diversity now and across (as best as possible) all redshifts. On the other hand, the code needs to run fast to compare several million or tens of millions of models and to select the best (on a probabilistic basis) one that best resembles the observations. With this important point in mind, it seems logical that we should efficiently make use of the computer power available to the average astronomer. For instance, it seems difficult, today, to model and fit SEDs without a parallelized code. We present the new Python version of CIGALE SED fitting code and its characteristics. CIGALE comes in two main flavours: CIGALE Classic to fit SEDs and CIGALE Model to create spectra and SEDs of galaxies at all redshifts. The latest can potentially be used in conjunction with galaxy evolution models of galaxy formation and evolution such as semi-analytic ones.

  • Wind damage of urban trees arises to be a serious issue especially in the typhoon-prone areas. As a family of tree species widely-planted in Southeast China, the structural behaviors of Plane tree is investigated. In order to accommodate the complexities of tree morphology, a fractal theory based finite element modeling method is proposed. On-site measurement of Plane trees is performed for physical definition of structural parameters. It is revealed that modal frequencies of Plane trees distribute in a manner of grouped dense-frequencies; bending is the main mode of structural failure. In conjunction with the probability density evolution method, the fragility assessment of urban trees subjected to wind excitations is then proceeded. Numerical results indicate that small-size segments such as secondary branches feature a relatively higher failure risk in a low wind level, and a relatively lower failure risk in a high wind level owing to windward shrinks. Besides, the trunk of Plane tree is the segment most likely to be damaged than other segments in case of high winds. The failure position tends to occur at the connection between trunk and primary branches, where the logical protections and reinforcement measures can be implemented for mitigating the wind damage.

  • Recently, The online role playing games (RPG) get into spotlight of worldwide game marketing area because of the rapid growth of high speed Internet environment during a decade. The almost online RPGs are made of campaign scenario that constructed in series. In this paper, we propose the Distributed Server Model for the Evolutionary Online RPGs which have series scenario (Campaign). In order to represents evolutionary online RPGs, We configure the online RPG server uniquely by means of one to one mapping between logical and physical game world. We also configure the game worlds using circular queue form to express the evolution of civilization by reconstruction of game world.
