There are many accident risks in logging operation of forestry such as struck by felled trees and caught in, under, or between felled trees. These accidents are primarily occurred by not keeping a safe distance between workers. According to the forestry safety instruction, workers are not supposed to go into the safety zone which is a circle with a radius of more 2 times the height of felling tree. However, this rule does not keep because of poor safety consciousness, poor sight and extreme noise of logging operation machines. This problem causes many major accidents every year. To solve this problem, we made forestry safety helmets based on IoT technology. These helmets have functions to make a visual and an acoustic alarm signal when reach the distance between workers within 20 meters. We developed the algorithm to operate the helmet's functions and conducted tests to check the functions. As a result of tests, we assured the normal system operating conditions.
In this paper, the characteristics of cable logging operations are discussed from a standpoint of mechanics. An example of standing skyline operations is used to illustrate the mechanical principles. Using force and moment boundary conditions, the maximum allowable payload was formulated as a function of slope profile, system geometry and operation options. This formulation includes fundamental equations for log drag and single segment mechanics. The catenary link model is the basic assumption in simulating cable segment stretches. In order to demonstrate the solution procedures of the formulation, a computer model was developed. The model uses Secant algorithm to determine the solution of the complex nonlinear equation set. Finally, the computer model was demonstrated using a hypothetical data set.

Currently, various sensors have been used for advanced driver assistance systems. In order to overcome the limitations of individual sensors, sensor fusion has recently attracted the attention in the field of intelligence vehicles. Thus, vision and radar based sensor fusion has become a popular concept. The typical method of sensor fusion involves vision sensor that recognizes targets based on ROIs (Regions Of Interest) generated by radar sensors. Especially, because AVM (Around View Monitor) cameras due to their wide-angle lenses have limitations of detection performance over near distance and around the edges of the angle of view, for high performance of sensor fusion using AVM cameras and radar sensors the exact ROI extraction of the radar sensor is very important. In order to resolve this problem, we proposed a sensor fusion scheme based on commercial radar modules of the vendor Delphi. First, we configured multiple radar data logging systems together with AVM cameras. We also designed radar post-processing algorithms to extract the exact ROIs. Finally, using the developed hardware and software platforms, we verified the post-data processing algorithm under indoor and outdoor environments.

Electrical resistivity is one of physical property of the earth and measured by electrical resistivity survey, electrical resistivity logging and laboratory test. Recently, electrical resistivity Is widely used In determination of rock quality in road and railway tunnel design. To get more reliable rock quality data from electrical resistivity, it needs a lot of test and study on correlation of resistivity and rock quality. Firstly, we did rock property test In laboratory, such as uniaxial compressive strength(UCS), P wave velocity, Young's modulus and electrical resistivity. We correlate each test results and we found out that electrical resistivity has exponentially related to UCS and P wave velocity and linearly related to Young's modulus. And we accomplished electrical resistivity survey in field site and carried out electrical resistivity togging at In-situ area. Also we performed rock classification, such as RQD, RMR and Q-system and we correlate electrical resistivity to rock classification results. We found out that electrical resistivity logging data are highly correlate to RQD, Q and RMR. Also we found out that electrical resistivity survey data are lower than electrical resistivity logging data when there are faults or fractures. And it cause electrical resistivity survey data to lowly correlate to RQD, Q and RMR.
The Web continues to grow fast rate in both a large aclae volume of traffic and the size and complexity of Web sites. Along with growth, the complexity of tasks such as Web site design Web server design and of navigating simply through a Web site have increased. An important input to these design tasks is the analysis of how a web site is being used. The is paper proposes a Page logging System(PLS) identifying reliably user sessions required in Web mining system PLS consists of Page Logger acquiring all the page accesses of the user Log processor producing user session from these data, and statements to incorporate a call to page logger applet. Proposed PLS abbreviates several preprocessing tasks which spends a log of time and efforts that must be performed in Web mining systems. In particular, it simplifies the complexity of transaction identification phase through acquiring directly the amount of time a user stays on a page. Also PLS solves local cache hits and proxy IPs that create problems with identifying user sessions from Web sever log.

Since field control equipment such as PLC has no function to log key event information in the log, it is difficult to analyze the accident. Therefore, it is necessary to secure information that can analyze when a cyber accident occurs by logging the main event information of the field control equipment such as PLC and IED. The protocol analyzer is required to analyze the field control device (the embedded device) communication protocol for event logging. However, the conventional analyzer, such as Wireshark is difficult to process the data identification and extraction of the large variety of protocols for event logging is difficult analysis of the payload data based and classification. In this paper, we developed a system for Big Data based on field control device communication protocol payload data extraction for event logging of large studies.

Detecting and capturing 3D human structures from the intensity-based image sequences is an inherently arguable problem, which attracted attention of several researchers especially in real-time activity recognition (Real-AR). These Real-AR systems have been significantly enhanced by using depth intensity sensors that gives maximum information, in spite of the fact that conventional Real-AR systems are using RGB video sensors. This study proposed a depth-based routine-logging Real-AR system to identify the daily human activity routines and to make these surroundings an intelligent living space. Our real-time routine-logging Real-AR system is categorized into two categories. The data collection with the use of a depth camera, feature extraction based on joint information and training/recognition of each activity. In-addition, the recognition mechanism locates, and pinpoints the learned activities and induces routine-logs. The evaluation applied on the depth datasets (self-annotated and MSRAction3D datasets) demonstrated that proposed system can achieve better recognition rates and robust as compare to state-of-the-art methods. Our Real-AR should be feasibly accessible and permanently used in behavior monitoring applications, humanoid-robot systems and e-medical therapy systems.
Usually, cloud storage systems are developed based on DFS (Distributed File System) for scalability and reliability reasons. DFSs are designed to improve throughput than IO response time, and therefore, they are appropriate for batch processing jobs. Recently, cloud storage systems have been used for update intensive applications such as OLTP and so on. However, in DFSs, in-place update operations are not carefully considered. Therefore, when updates are frequent, I/O performance of DFSs are degraded significantly. DFSs with RAID techniques have been proposed to improve their performance and reliability. Their performance degradation caused by frequent update operations can be more significant. In this paper, we propose an in-place update method for DFS RAID exploiting a differential logging technique. The proposed method reduces the I/O costs, network traffic and XOR operation costs for RAID. We demonstrate the efficiency of our proposed in-place update method through various experiments.
This study calculated the productivity and cost of extraction and processing of logging residues by cut-to-length (CTL) and whole-tree (WT) harvesting methods. In addition, the comparative analysis of the characteristics of wood chip fuel to examine whether it was suitable for the fuel conditions of the energy facility. In the harvesting and processing system to produce the wood chips of logging residues the system productivity and cost of the CTL harvesting system were 1.6 Gwt/SMH and 89,865 won/Gwt, respectively. The productivity and cost of the WT harvesting system were 2.9 Gwt/SMH and 72,974 won/Gwt, respectively. The WT harvesting productivity increased 1.3times while harvesting cost decreased by 18.7% compared to the CTL harvesting system. The logging residues of wood chips were not suitable for CTL wood chips based on International Organization for Standardization (ISO 17225-4:2021) and South Korea standard (NIFoS, 2020), but the quality (A2, Second class) was improved through screening operation. The WT-unscreened wood chips conformed to NIFoS standard (second class) and did not conform to ISO but were improved through screening operation (Second class). In addition to the energy facility in plant A, all wood chips except CTL-unscreened wood chips were available through drying processing. The WT-unscreened wood chips were the lowest at 99,408 won/Gwt. Plants B, C, and D had higher moisture content than plant A, so WT-unscreened wood chips without drying processing were the lowest at 57,204 won/Gwt. Therefore, the production of logging residues should improve with operation methods that improve the quality of wood chips required for applying the variable biomass and energy facility.

Recently shield TBM tunnellings are being applied to subway construction in Korean cities. Generally these kinds of tunnellings have the problems in the stability of ground such as subsidence because urban subway is constructed in the shallow depth. A sinkhole occurred on the road just above the tunnel during tunneling in Kwangju, so a survey for upper layer of the tunnel was needed. But conventional Ground Probing Radar can't be applicable due to the presence of steel-mesh screen in the shield segment, so no existent geophysical method is applicable in this site. Because the outer surface of each shield segment is electrically insulated, dipole-dipole resistivity method which is popular in engineering site investigation, was tried to this survey for the first time. Specially manufactured flexible ring-type electrodes were installed into the grouting holes at an interval of 2.4 m on the ceiling. The K-Ohm II system which has been developed by KIGAM and tested successfully in many sites, was used in this site. The system consists of 1000Volt-1Ampere constant-current transmitter, optically isolated 24 bit sigma-delta A/D conversion receiver - maximum 12 channel simultaneous measurements, and graphical automatic acquisition software for easy data quality check in real time. Borehole camera logging with circular white LED lighting was also done to investigate the state of the layer. Measured resistivity data lack of some stations due to failing opening lids of holes, shows general high-low trend well. The dipole-dipole resistivity inversion results discriminate (1) one approximately 4 meter diameter cavity (grouted but incompletely hardened, so low resistivity - less than $30{\Omega}m$), (2) weak zone (100-200${\Omega}m$), and (3) hard zone (high resistivity - more than 1000${\Omega}m$) very well for the distance of 320 meters. The 2-D inversion neglects slight absolute 3-D effect, but we can get satisfactory and useful information. Acquired resistivity section and video tapes by borehole camera logging will be reserved and reused if some problem occurs in this site in the future.
