신형전기기관차 유지보수에 관한 연구 (A study on the electric locomotive maintenance)

  • 코레일은 고속철도 운행 이후 RCM을 적용한 신뢰성 정착에 많은 노력을 해 오고 있다. 또한 고속철도에 이어 일반차량 분야의 차종에 대한 검수주기 및 방법 등에 대한 최적화 연구를 수행하고 있다. 일반차종 중 가장 최근의 모델이고 향후 운행량이 늘어날 것으로 예상되는 신형전기 기관차의 검수주기 및 방법에 대한 연구를 진행 중에 있다. 신형전기기관차의 현행 검수주기 및 방법과 동종차량의 검수 현황, 국외 선진국의 동종차량의 검수현황 등을 분석하여 최적의 검수방안을 찾고자 한다. 현행 시행되고 있는 신형전기기관차의 검수주기는 안전성에 우선을 두어 경제성 및 신뢰성이 다소 소홀히 되고 있음을 알 수 있다. 연구를 통해 안전성을 확보함과 동시에 경제성과 신뢰성을 얻을 수 있는 정비방법을 찾고자 한다. 이번 논문에서는 현행 검수 실태의 분석을 통해 문제점과 개선점이 무엇인지를 찾아내는 것으로 하였다. 향후 연구가 종결되는 시점(2008년 말)에서 최적의 대안을 제시할 수 있을 것이다.

철도차량 운전실의 작업환경 개선을 위한 요구사항 DB 구축에 관한 연구 (On the Construction of Requirements DB to Improve the Work Environment of Locomotive Cabs)

  • The work environment of locomotive cabs has long been an important issue in the design of railload systems since it is quite critical in terms of system's operational safety. It is getting more attention as the running speed of the trains goes up these days. To this end, this paper describes how to systematically construct a DB for the requirements set in the course of the improvement process for the aforementioned cab work environment. As a solution approach, we have adopted the requirement architecture concept to cover the whole activities required to do such as in requirements generation, DB construction, change management, and traceability management. Specifically, based on the requirement architecture framework a requirement process to collect requirements for improvement is discussed, and the guide lines are suggested for verification and validation of the developed requirements. In addition, a base schema and requirements templates are developed, which will be used in generating requirements and constructing a DB. Finally, it is demonstrated how the requirements DB for locomotive cabs can be constructed using a computer-aided tool in an integrated fashion.

A Study of Wheel Tread Spalling Problem of $DF_{21}$ Locomotive

  • $DF_{21}$ diesel locomotive was designed to satisfy the requirement of Kunming Meter track and the 2Co self-guided radial bogie was used to suit the complex curve track. There are totally 12 locomotives was served on the track. The first two locomotives were devotion running on the track since April 2003, the wheel tread splling was occurred on the middle wheel set of the two locomotives after running nearly 150 thousands km on the track of the two locomotives at August 2004. The dynamic analysis was carried out to find the reason. The wheel set longitudinal vibration resonance phenomenon was existed on the locomotive dynamic performance, and this was caused by the too big longitudinal stiffness of the journal box bar on the middle wheel set. Wheel set longitudinal vibration resonance maybe an important reason of lead to wheel tread spalling. The corresponding mend methods were put forward from the point of view of wheel set longitudinal vibration resonance. All the wheel tread of the 12 locomotives on the middle wheel set were in good condition and not occurred the wheel tread spalling after the mend till December 2007 after 350 thousands km were finished. The mechanism of the wheel tread splling and corresponding mend method was discussed in detail in this paper.

  • 전동차용 견인전동기 시스템은 저항 및 쵸퍼 제어에 의한 직류 전동기 방식에서 인버터 제어에 의한 유도전동기 방식으로 발전하였다. 오늘날 유도전동기 기술은 어느 정도 성숙기에 접어들었지만 최근에는 소음제거, 효율 극대화 및 유지보수 비용 절감 등의 이점이 있는 감속기를 제거한 직접 구동용 영구자석 전동기가 새로이 각광받고 있다. 특히 기계적으로 견고한 매입형 영구자석 동기전동기는 출력/토크 밀도가 높고 약계자 제어성이 우수하며 고효율 운전이 가능하다. 본 논문은 자기적 포화특성이 심한 영구자석 전동기를 대상으로 고급화된 비선형 수치해석 기법을 적용하여 설계된 전동기의 특성해석을 나타낸다.

  • 8200 Series Electric Locomotives are mostly imported from overseas due to aging and uncertainty of source technology, and it's the maintenance cost is increasing. We are analyzed life cycle costs based on international standards such as IEC 60300-3-3 and IEC62278. The main conversion system of the 8200 series electric locomotive is closely related to vehicle operation and is one of the subsystems requiring frequent maintenance. In this paper, the life cycle cost of the main conversion unit in 8200 series electric locomotive is analyzed based on the maintenance manual. As a result of analysis, maintenance cost of GTO module and control device is relatively high, and it is confirmed that the cost increases according to the useful life.

PSC 박스거더 교량의 상호작용에 의한 KTX 동력차의 윤하중 분포 해석 (A Dynamic Analysis of Wheel Forces distribution of KTX locomotive for Interaction of PSC box Girder Bridge)

  • A dynamic analysis procedure is developed to provide a comprehensive estimation of the dynamic response spectrum for locomotive's wheels running over a Pre-Stressed Concrete (PSC) box girder bridge on the Korea high speed railway. The wheel force spectrum with the bridge behavior are analyzed as the dynamic procedure for various running speeds (50~450km/h). The high-speed railway locomotive (KTX) is used as 38-degree of freedom system. Three displacements(vertical, lateral, and longitudinal) and three rotational components (pitching, rolling, and yawing). For one car-body and two bogies as well as five movements except pitching rotation components for four wheel axes forces are considered in the 38-degree of freedom model. Three dimensional frame element is used to model of the PSC box girder bridges, simply supported span length of 40m. The irregulation of rail-way is derived using the exponential spectrum density function under assumption of twelve level tracks conditions based on the normal probability procedure. The dynamic responses of bridge passing through the railway locomotive with high-speed analyzed by Newmark-${\beta}$ method and Runge-Kutta method are compared and contrasted considering the developed models of bridge, track and locomotive comprehensively. The dynamic analyses of wheel forces by Runge-Kutta method which are able to analyze the forces with high frequency running on the bridge and ground rail-way are conducted. Additionally, wheel forces spectrum and three rotational components of vehicle body for three typical running speeds is also presented.

화물열차의 경제속도 결정에 관한 연구 (A Study on Determining Economical Speed of Diesel Freight Locomotive)

  • 철도운송은 오랜 기간 동안 도로운송, 해상운송, 항공운송보다 친환경 운송수단으로 인식되어 왔다. 하지만 최근 디젤유를 사용하는 점화기관에서 배출되는 오염물질이 대기오염의 주범으로 밝혀지면서 사회적 문제로 인식되고 있으며 녹색성장을 위한 정부 정책으로 철도분야도 온실가스 배출의 감축 의무를 피할 수 없을 것으로 전망되고 있다. 또한, 지속적인 고유가는 운영비를 상승시켜 운영기관에 큰 부담이 되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 온실가스 배출 감소와 유류비 절감을 위해 운영기관 입장에서 화물열차의 경제속도를 결정하기 위한 방법론을 제안한다. 경제속도를 추정하기 위해 유류비, 화물열차의 시간가치, 탄소세를 고려하여 비용 함수를 추정하였다. 비용 함수를 바탕으로 화물열차의 경제속도를 도출하기 위한 식을 제안하고 유류비, 화물열차의 시간가치, 탄소세의 변화가 속도에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위해 민감도 분석을 하였다.

Composite locomotive frontend analysis and optimization using genetic algorithm

  • This paper addresses the structural design of the front end of Siemens ER24 locomotive body. The steel structure of the frontend is replaced with composite. Optimization of the composite lay-up is performed using Genetic Algorithms. Initially an optimized single design for the entire structure is presented. Then a more refined optimum is developed by considering the separate optimization of 7 separate regions of the structure. Significant savings in the weight of the structure are achieved.

8200호대 전기기관차 견인전동기의 설계에 따른 강도 및 운전특성 해석 (The Analysis of Strength and Driving Characteristic according to Design of Traction Motor for 8200 Electric Locomotive Series)

  • In this paper, The strength and driving characteristics of it were investigated according to developing the traction motor for 8200 electric locomotive series. For this purpose, Flux density strength was analyzed and then structural strength was investigated such as a stator frame, design of the rotor shaft bearing according to the design process. In addition, the traction motor operating point was analyzed according to slip frequency variation at a power source frequency. As the results of analysis on torque-speed characteristic curve, we was confirmed that traction motor was controlled as torque control prior to motor speed 1610[rpm], power control between 1610[rpm] and 2500[rpm] and breakdown torque control more than motor speed 2500[rpm].

  • It is recommended that reasonable and well-organized standards of the locomotive's requalification system, as it stands, should be established through comparing with foreign of the country for verifying it's propriety. The purpose of this study is to develop the process of locomotive's requalification system for reducing human errors which has been founded as important cause in railway accidents and safety. Therefore, some effective alternatives suggested in this study may be used as basic data for supporting the Korean railway safety law.
