SI(Skeleton/Infill)이론을 적용한 폐교활용의 워크숍 방법론 (Workshop Method Adaptation of SI Theory for Applying Closed Schools)

  • Despite the high historical and topological values, closed schools are rarely reutilized. The reason can be likely explained by integrity of the building structure and unawareness of the operation and maintenance for closed schools. The purpose of this study is finding a possibility of reusing closed schools by deploying SI (Skeleton and Infill) theory. SI theory is separating the "skeleton" like structure from "infill" such as interior furnishings to extend building life without complete demolishing of the building. It will allow satisfying various local community demands by alternating infill without demolishing of historical and topological value of the building. The experimental test was undertaken with closed school for this study. The local community's demands or opinions were reflected to develop a strategy for deploying infill system especially movable storage furniture to closed school. The study finds possibilities that SI theory can assist local community to 1) construct potential demand for utilizing closed school and 2) suggest strategy for operating and maintaining closed school.

  • In a local vibration analysis of a large steel frame, a large eigenvalue problem results. Due to computer storage and the expense of a complete solution, it is desirable to minimize the size of the resulting matrices. A new and efficient method of local vibration analysis for large steel frames is presented. It reduces the order of dynamic matrices by dynamic condensation method. Examples are given for local vibration of a plane frame. Results are compared to the complete solution of the full eigenvalue problem.

Study on Corrosion Law of Large Crude Oil Storage Tank Floor and Risk-Based Inspection and Maintenance Technology

  • In this paper, the author's team has carried out a comparative experimental study on the corrosion characteristics of Q235 steel commonly used in large-scale storage tanks under the specific bottom water environment found with Russian and Daqing crude oil. It was found that there is a certain degree of uniform or local corrosion on the tank floor depending on the kind of bottom water. The bottom water corrosion of Daqing crude oil is a uniform corrosion caused by carbon dioxide. While the Russian crude oil bottom water corrosion is clearly local corrosion caused by co-corrosion of carbon dioxide and hydrogen sulfide, here the corrosion rate is obviously higher than that caused by Daqing crude oil. There are two modes of storage tank inspection and maintenance that have been currently adopted by Chinese refining and chemical enterprises: a regular inspection mode and a API581-2016 risk-based detection mode. These modes have been effectively combined to form an intelligent tank inspection and maintenance mode, software tools to support this intelligent inspection and maintenance management have been developed.

  • A concrete cask is an option for spent nuclear fuel interim storage. A concrete cask usually consists of a metallic canister which confines the spent nuclear fuel assemblies and a concrete overpack. When the overpack undergoes a missile impact, which might be caused by a tornado or an aircraft crash, it should sustain an acceptable level of structural integrity so that its radiation shielding capability and the retrievability of the canister are maintained. A missile impact against a concrete overpack produces two damage modes, local damage and global damage. In conventional approaches [1], those two damage modes are decoupled and evaluated separately. The local damage of concrete is usually evaluated by empirical formulas, while the global damage is evaluated by finite element analysis. However, this decoupled approach may lead to a very conservative estimation of both damages. In this research, finite element analysis with material failure models and element erosion is applied to the evaluation of local and global damage of concrete overpacks under high speed missile impacts. Two types of concrete overpacks with different configurations are considered. The numerical simulation results are compared with test results, and it is shown that the finite element analysis predicts both local and global damage qualitatively well, but the quantitative accuracy of the results are highly dependent on the fine-tuning of material and failure parameters.

가변형 책·걸상 설계를 통한 물류합리화에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Rationalization of Logistics Based on the Design of Variable Desks and Chairs)

  • Uniform and integrated college desks and chairs have low efficiency of loading for transportation and delivery and low efficiency of storage for warehousing due to their simple uniform physical properties, thus increasing logistics costs for companies and decreasing their competitiveness. In an effort to overcome the limitations of previous studies, this study analyzed the stages of logistics for desks and chairs in college lecture rooms via the transportation route including the factory warehouses and local warehouses and via the delivery route from local warehouses by the region to the orderers including college lecture rooms. The study developed a model for the rationalization of corporate logistics by making a variable folding desk and chair capable of distance adjustment according to height to replace the uniform and integrated college desks and chairs in lecture rooms. A model was developed between the old uniform and integrated college desks and chairs and the new variable folding desks and chairs for three scenarios of cost development including product storage costs, transportation costs from the specialized factory warehouses to the local warehouses by the region, and delivery costs from the local warehouses to college lecture rooms as the orderer. For the generalization of the model, it was applied to each of the 90%, 95%, and 99% service levels.

Effect of different concentrations of hypotaurine on melanosis and quality of Pacific white shrimp (Penaeus vannamei) during refrigeration

  • Effect of different concentrations of hypotaurine (HTU) on melanosis and quality of shrimps during 10 d storage in ice were studied. During refrigeration, the total plate count and total volatile basic nitrogen of shrimps treated with 20 g/L HTU were the lowest, and the hardness and microstructure were the best. Moreover, the score of melanoses, pH and total bile acid of shrimps treated with 20 g/L HTU were also low. Sensory evaluation showed that HTU treatment could make the shelf life of shrimps 3-4 days longer compared with the control. Based on the above physical and chemical indexes, 20 g/L HTU showed great potential as a safe inhibitor in the treatment of shrimps' melanosis.

일본의 사용후핵연료 중간저장 시설 확보 경험에 관한 연구 - 아오모리현 무쯔시 사례 - (A Study on Japanese Experience to Secure the Interim Storage Facility for Nuclear Spent Fuel)

  • 일본 정부는 사용후핵연료의 중간저장시설의 입지로 아우모리현의 무쯔시를 선정했다. 2000년부터 시작된 유치활동이 5 년만에 결실을 맺은 것이다. 한국은 사용후핵연료를 원자력 발전소 내에 저장하고 있는데 2016년이면 저장한계에 이를 것으로 전망되고 있어 일본의 사례연구는 한국에 시사하는 바가 크다. 한국은 경주에 중, 저준위 방사성 폐기물 저장시설을 성공적으로 유치한 경험이 있어 사용후핵연료의 저장시설을 유치하는 학습경험을 축적한 바 있는데 두 나라의 큰 차이점은 한국은 경쟁적인 주민투표를 통하면서 막대한 지역지원금을 지원한다는 점이고 일본은 주민투표를 시행하지 않고 지방자치 정치의 리더쉽이 문제를 해결하는 방식을 택했다는 점이다. 엄청난 지역지원금이 지원되지 않은 점도 일본의 특징이다. 본 연구가 한국의 사용후핵 연료 저장시설을 유치하는 데 도움이 되었으면 하는 바람이다.

LNG 저장탱크용 환경 센서 모듈을 이용한 유무선 통신 모듈 개발 (Development of Wire/Wireless Communication Modules using Environmental Sensor Modules for LNG Storage Tanks)

  • LNG 저장 작업 중 기계결함, 부주의 등으로 인해 사고가 꾸준히 발생하고 있다. 이전 연구에서는 위험을 미리 감지하는 압력, 온도, 가스 농도, 플로우 측정이 가능한 환경 센서 모듈을 개발하고 누출된 가스량에 따른 응답속도를 측정하였었다. 본 논문에서는 환경 센서 모듈이 측정한 데이터를 SPI, UART, LTE의 유무선 네트워크와 연결된 임베디드 기기들에 안전하게 전송해주는 유무선 통신 모듈의 개발을 제안한다. 먼저 환경 센서와 연동 가능한 데이터 통신 모듈을 설계한다. Local Control Part의 각 장치간 프로토콜과 Local Control Part와 Remote Control Part의 유무선 프로토콜을 설계한다. 이더넷, WiFi, LTE 통신 모듈을 설계하고 임베디드 제어기와 연동 가능한 UART, SPI 채널을 설계하였다. 그 결과, 각 임베디드 기기가 유선, 무선 동시 통신하면서 환경 센서 모듈이 측정한 데이터를 전송함을 UI(User Interface)를 통해 확인할 수 있었다.

SCST를 이용한 All Flash Array 스토리지 가상화 (All Flash Array Storage Virtualisation using SCST)

  • SCST(The generic SCSI target subsystem for Linux)는 개발자가 SCSI 타겟 스토리지를 구성할 수 있게 하는 오픈소스 소프트웨어이며, 스토리지 네트워크 구성을 위해 iSCSI, FC, SRP 등의 다양한 SCSI 네트워크 프로토콜을 지원한다. 본 논문에서는 SCST를 이용한 스토리지 가상화 방법을 제안하고 고성능 스토리지인 All Flash Array를 4Gb 파이버 채널, 10Gb 이더넷, 40Gb 인피니밴드를 통해 가상화하며, 가상화된 All Flash Array의 성능을 고찰한다. 실험 결과 40Gb 인피니밴드를 통해 가상화된 All Flash Array가 세 경우 중 가장 높은 성능을 보였다. 40Gb 인피니밴드를 통해 가상화된 All Flash Array는 SCSI 타겟 시스템에 연결된 All Flash Array에 비해 순차/임의 읽기의 경우에 각각 78%, 79%의 성능을 보였으며, 순차/임의쓰기의 경우에는 83%, 88%의 성능을 보임을 확인하였다.

  • 웹브라우저에서 Cookie는 요청할 때마다 저장된 정보를 서버로 보내야 하므로 결국 응답 시간에 나쁜 영향을 미치게 되고, 저장된 모든 정보에 대해 보안에 문제가 있을 수 있다. 이 문제를 해결하기 위해 HTML5에서 제공하는 클라이언트-사이드 데이터베이스 형태의 Web Storage를 Cookie를 대체하여 사용할 수 있다. Web Storage를 활용하여 웹사이트에서 검색된 결과를 브라우저의 Local Storage에 저장하고, 저장된 내용을 이용하여 빠르게 검색하며, 네트워크 연결이 끊긴 상태에서도 이미 검색했던 데이터를 조회 하는 기능을 구현해 살펴보았다.
