Algorithm journalism refers to the practices of automated news generation using algorithms that generate human sounding narratives. Algorithm journalism is known to have strengths in automating repetitive tasks through rapid and accurate analysis of data, and has been actively used in news domains such as sports and finance. In this paper, we propose an interactive card news system that generates personalized local election articles in 2018. The system consists of modules that collects and analyzes election data, generates texts and images, and allows users to specify their interests in the local elections. When a user selects interested regions, election types, candidate names, and political parties, the system generates card news according to their interest. In the study, we examined how personalized card news are evaluated in comparison with text and card news articles by human journalists, and derived implications on the potential use of algorithm in reporting political events.

이 연구는 글로벌 저널리즘 환경에서 부상한 소셜 네트워크 저널리즘의 제 가치를 검토하고, 네트워크 저널리즘 이론을 토대로 국내 소셜 뉴스 사이트인 '위키트리'의 사례를 분석하였다. 소셜 네트워크 저널리즘은 공중으로 하여금 크라우드 소싱과 상호작용을 통해 저널리즘 생산의 모든 측면에 관여할 수 있도록 허용한다. 공중과의 네트워킹 효과로 인해 저널리즘은 더욱 개방적이고, 더욱 연결되며, 더욱 즉각적인 반응을 촉발시키고 있다. '위키트리'는 누구나 페이스북과 트위터를 통해서 뉴스를 작성하고 배포할 수 있는 소셜 네트워킹 뉴스서비스이다. 위키트리는 개방형소스 프로그램으로 운영되면서 '구글번역기'를 사용해 자동적으로 모든 뉴스 콘텐츠를 전환시키고, 인터넷 접근이 가능한 글로벌 시민이라면 누구나 뉴스생산에 기여할 수 있게 하며, 자신만의 창의적인 콘텐츠나 다른 정보원으로부터 생성된 콘텐츠를 공유할 수 있도록 허용한다. 초창기부터 '위키트리 글로벌' 사이트는 160개국에서 생성되는 접속 포인트들로 인해 급속하게 보도범위를 확장하고 있다. 이 연구는 위키트리 글로벌 사이트의 국제 커버리지를 국가별, 뉴스유형별로 분석함으로써 SNS를 활용해 글보벌 공중을 연결하는 것이 특정한 뉴스 아이템들뿐만 아니라 소셜뉴스 사이트의 뉴스 트래픽을 향상시킬 수 있음을 암시하고 있다. 또 다른 연구결과는 소셜 네트워크 저널리즘에서 트위터와 페이스북의 활용이 뉴스사이트에 대한 수용자들의 관심을 증대시킬 뿐만 아니라 뉴스수집의 능력을 확장시킴으로써 지역공중과 글로벌 공중 사이의 경계를 허물고 지역 온라인 저널리즘에 실현가능한 사업모델을 창출할 수 있음을 시사한다.

In this paper, newspaper articles were collected through '5.18' keyword search results and the news corpus was constructed from the collected data. In the articles of local newspapers 'Honam' and 'Yeongnam', the ideological differences regarding '5.18' were investigated. The ideological differences of local newspaper discourse through objective figures was analyzed.. The subjects of the newspaper articles, the frequency of nouns and predicates were analyzed. The use and meaning of the intended vocabulary were examined. As a result of analyzing the title of the newspaper article, the discourse written in 'Honam' emphasized the necessity of re - recognition of 5.18. In both regions, the word "Gwangju" is often used. However, 'Gwangju' in 'Honam' newspaper means spiritual space, not physical space. In Honam regional newspapers, there are many vocabularies describing the events such as 'shoot' and 'fire', this calls for recollection and memory of '5.18'. In the analysis of newspaper discourse, the analysis of the contrast between the local newspapers was very insignificant, but, this study was conducted to analyze the discourse among local newspapers.

International public opinion on King Sejong Institute (KSI) is one of the most important factors influencing its overseas development as a worldwide non-profit educational service organization. China is one of the overseas strategic regions for KSI to spread the Korean Language. This paper intends to assess KSI's current public opinion environment in China. With content analysis of 87 news reports related to KSI in WeChat Official Accounts from 2014 to 2022, this paper attempts to assess the public opinion environment of KSI in China. In this paper, we show that the Chinese media' s current attention to KSI is generally lacking. The current reports focus more on activity narrations, and the main report factors come from local media and universities' oncampus news, which have relatively weak dissemination power and limited influences. On one side, the reasons are related to the characteristics of Chinese media, while the KSI establishment method in China also accounts for a lot. Therefore, it is necessary for the KSI to timely adjust the cooperation mode and publicity strategies according to the Chinese political and cultural characteristics to promote the sustainable development of KSI in China by continuously improving the public opinion environment.

This paper investigates changes in relativization in Singapore English broadsheet newspapers from 1993 to 2016. One of the first diachronic studies in Singapore English (SgE), it also explores corresponding data from the diachronic Siena-Bologna (SiBol) news corpus. As SgE is in the endonormative stabilization phase in Schneider's (2007) Dynamic Model of postcolonial Englishes, divergence from British English (BrE) is to be expected. In this study, the dataset is a new Singapore English Newspaper (SEN) corpus compiled from local news articles in 1993, 2005 and 2016, and the corpus tool employed is Sketch Engine. The results reveal changes in relativization practices in SEN over the given period, many of which occur in a similar pattern as those identified in SiBol, albeit at varying rates of change. Most significant of these include a sharp decline in the which relativizer in restrictive relative clauses with non-animate antecedents, complemented by a rise in that. The change has been so rapid that although which relative clauses were more common than that clauses in 1993, that has subsequently overtaken which for both the corpora. One shift in SEN that is different from SiBol is the increase in frequency of non-restrictive relative clauses in SgE. The likely motivators for the changes in the two varieties are identified as colloquialization, densification and prescriptivism. The effect each of these factors could have had on the varieties are discussed, as well as the implications that the findings have on our understanding of the evolutionary status of SgE as a postcolonial variety.

본 논문에서는 MPEG 비디오 스트림을 분석하여 DCT DC 계수를 추출하고 이들로 구성된 DC 이미지로부터 제안하는 robust feature를 이용하여 shot 검출을 수행한 후 각 feature들의 통계적 특성을 이용하여 스트림의 특징에 따라 weight를 부가하여 구해진 characterizing value의 시간 변화량을 구한다. 추해진 변화량의 local maxima와 local minima는 비디오 스트림에서 각각 가장 특징적인 frame과 평균적인 frame을 나타낸다. 이 순간의 shot을 구함으로서 효과적이고 빠른 시간 내에 key frame을 추출한다. 추출되어진 key frame에 대하여 원영상을 복원한 후, 색인을 위하여 다수의 parameter를 구하고, 사용자가 질의한 영상에 대해서 이들 파라메터를 구하여 key frame들과 가장 유사한 대표영상들을 검색한다. 실험결과 일반적인 방법보다 더 나은 결과를 보였고, 높은 검색율을 보였다.

E-Card Service for Child Nutrition Program is one of the main public policy services nowadays. In case of inconvenience during the use of the e-cards, it is recommended to cooperate with related organizations in order to promptly handle and provide guidance, and thoroughly manage child feeding service such as hygiene, nutrition and kindness etc. To do so, it is very important to provide food service that meets local actual conditions and children's needs in a cost effective manner for the underage who are worried about the poorly-fed by understanding the pattern of child feeding e-card service. Hence. this paper aims to investigate how child feeding e-card service efficiently provides meals according to the local situation and children's needs through big data analysis and to propose a method of identifying welfare conditions according to the purpose of service with actual application examples. The results suggest that, first of all, this study is able to judge appropriateness of public institution's policy in a timely and repetitive manner through non-standard data analysis such as Naver News and transaction data. Secondly, this paper proposes a multi-layered analysis framework, which performs online open data analysis to detect policy issues, visualizes retrieval and preprocessing of real data, and performs abnormal pattern recognition. These will be worthy of reference to other similar projects.

최근 GPS를 내장한 디지털장치(스마트폰, 태블릿PC 등)가 등장함에 따라 수많은 LBSNS(Location-Based Social Networking Services) 애플리케이션들이 등장하고 있으며 기존의 많은 SNS 애플리케이션들 또한 위치기반 서비스를 추가하여 서비스 하고 있다. 트위터의 경우 관심지역에 대한 뉴스를 일반적인 구독의 형태가 아닌 연산자를 통한 검색의 형태로써 제공하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 트위터에서 사용자가 관심지역에 대한 뉴스를 간단히 구독을 할 수 있게 설계된 시스템을 설명한다. 이 시스템은 대량의 질의가 발생할 것을 고려하여 인덱스를 사용하지 않는 공간조인(Spatial Join)기법 중 하나인 PBSM(Partition Based Spatial-Merge Join)을 통해 일괄처리 한다. 공간조인을 통해 만들어진 최종 결과들은 실체화 된 뷰(Materialized View)를 통해 저장되어 지고 사용자들에게 제공된다.

이 연구는 지역신문 기자들의 직업이동을 통해 지역언론의 현실과 기자들의 직업정체성 변화를 살펴보고자 했다. <대전일보>, <중도일보>, <충청투데이>의 대전지역 3개 종이신문에서 퇴직한 기자들이 어떤 이유로, 어디에서 어디로, 어떻게 경력 이동했는지를 알아본 결과, 동종 종이신문과 인터넷신문 같은 저널리즘 영역에서 활동하는 기자들이 있는가 하면 정치 행정 학계 경제 문화예술 등 여러 분야로 이직했다. 이들이 신문을 떠난 이유는 보수 복지 미흡과 미래비전 부재가 가장 많았으며 구조조정, 취재보도 활동제약, 많은 업무량도 영향을 주었다. 1997년 IMF 외환위기 이전 언론노동시장은 공채로 입사해 평기자, 차장, 부장, 국장으로 승진하는 전형적인 내부노동시장이었지만 뉴미디어의 등장과 신문기업의 경영난으로 내부노동시장이 약화되고 있음을 보여줬다. 기자들은 자기 개발을 통해 전문성을 높여 직업을 바꾸기보다는 지연 학연, 출입처 같은 사회자본을 적극적으로 활용함으로써 지역신문 본연의 감시비판 기능을 위축시키는 부작용과 함께 기자들의 직업정체성까지 훼손시키고 있었다.

현재 많은 정보들이 비디오 데이터로 전송 또는 저장되고 있으며 고성능 PC의 보급과 internet과 같은 통신망의 대중화로 이런 비디오 데이터는 급속도로 증가하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이런 비디오 데이터의 검색을 위하여 비디오 스트립을 분석하여 shot을 찾아내고 이들 중 key frame을 찾는 방법에 대하여 연구하고 이로서 사용자의 질의에 부합하는 비디오를 검색한다. 본 논문에서는 shot 경계 검출을 위해 객체의 움직임에 강인하면서 shot 내에서의 칼라의 변화에 둔감한 새로운 feature를 제안하고, shot frame에서 구한 각 feature들의 통계적 특성을 이용하여 스트립의 특징에 따라 weight를 부가하여 구해진 characterizing value의 시간 변화량을 구한다. 구해진 변화량의 local maxima와 local minima는 비디오 스트림에서 각각 가장 특정적인 frame과 평균적인 frame을 나타낸다. 이 순간의 short frame을 구함으로서 효과적이고 빠른 시간 내에 key frame을 추출한다. 추출되어진 key frame에 대하여 원 영상을 복원한 후, 색인을 위하여 다수의 parameter를 구하고, 사용자가 질의한 영상에 대해서 이들 parameter를 구하여 key frame들과 가장 유사한 대표영상들을 검색한다. 실험결과 일반적인 방법보다 더 나은 결과를 보였고, 높은 검색율을 보였다.
