In this paper, we studied about an consolidated transportation model to transport EOL (end-of-life) electronic household appliances for recycling in South Korea. The objective is to minimize the total traveling distance of the vehicles transporting EOL electronic household appliances collected by local authorities and major manufacturers' distribution centers to assigned R/C(recycling center) in South Korea. Current reverse logistics for recycling EOL electronic household appliances is operated by local authorities and major manufacturers individually, and it is inefficient for the following reasons: excessive traveling distance, transportation cost, low truck capacity utilization, and so on. The presented model is developed to solve this problem. We apply a integer programming to solve this problem and present computational results using actual field data.

Sea-ports in Northern Vietnam have experienced a rapid growth of container throughput volume in recent years. To accompany with such development, huge investments also have been performed to enhance local ports capacity. It becomes a crucial task for the port authorities or the port stevedoring industry to improve the ports efficiency in order to customize national resources. In this paper, Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) is employed to evaluate the relative efficiency of container terminals in Northern Vietnam by collecting data from terminals since 2005 up to now. The development progress of the given terminals will be presented before providing a relative comparison among those year by year. The DEA result is then analyzed and suggestions with regard to changes in local economic environment in near future are contributed.

Geographical Information Service of local authorities is already considerable interest to private and public organizations. This paper presents the application of private investment aimed to promoting the extent of geographical information services in local authority. For it, the theoretical backgrounds of geographical information services are represented. On the basis of the empirical evidence, the paper represent a policy how a various issues should be dealt with promotion of geographical information services in the private investment.

There are two kinds of police authorities in Korean railway industry, that is, the Special Judicial Police and the Local Subway Police. The existence of two separate entities for common objective of railway security has given rise to problems including inefficiency in performance and lack of customers-focused police service and synergic effects. The purpose of this study is to search for solutions to rail crimes that allows for rapid spatial movements since they take place on fast moving trains.

The study aims to assess the impact of destination image, satisfaction and loyalty of tourists at mountain destinations in Thanh Hoa province, Vietnam. The study involves questionnaire surveys and multivariate data analysis methods (Cronbach Alpha test, EFA, CFA, SEM). Research results from 500 tourists in the mountain destinations of Thanh Hoa province demonstrate that all factors have imposed a positive impact on tourist satisfaction, specifically: The most influential factor is Natural features, followed by Human factors while the least influential factor is Infrastructure; On the other hand, research results also demonstrate that satisfaction has a substantial impact on tourist loyalty. Based on the research results, we also proposed some key solutions to enhance the destination image, thereby contributing to increased satisfaction and loyalty of tourists, including: (i) Promoting Natural Tourism Resources. (ii) Raising Awareness of Environmental Protection. (iii) Building Local Cultural Identity. (iv) Building Exclusive Tourist Products. (5) Strengthening the Support of Local Authorities for Tourism Activities. (vi) Developing a Price Policy.

In this paper various information D/B on track and facilities, electric/communication equipment and safety equipment required to support the emergencies related to high-speed railway was implemented, the practical local information in the proximity of high-speed line was identified by drawing the roads accessible to the track on the numerical map, and the development and the application of the information providing system based on GIS for the purpose of emergency response and its support, which can be helpful to request the external organizations such as local authorities, police offices and fire brigades for the emergencies, was proceed.

The study identifies the importance of informational and legislative support in ensuring gender equality. It determines the relevance of gender inequality, the main problem, which is confirmed by research and statistical information. The study aims to determine the methods of collecting information and legal regulation of gender issues and the possibility of solving them by public authorities. The main methods of gathering information are census surveys, questionnaires, surveys on public service websites, work with local communities, surveys in nursing homes and orphanages, special survey programs, and election polls. The paper considers the legal regulation of gender inequalities at the international, state, local and organizational levels. According to the analysis of the problem of gender inequality, it is established that the problem is practically eliminated in many developed countries, while countries with low incomes face gender inequality constantly.

홍수피해가 발생하면 사회 전반에 걸쳐 큰 영향을 끼치게 된다. 이에 국내에서는 홍수로 인한 피해를 경감하기 위한 방법 중 하나로 홍수정보를 제공하고 있다. 기상청은 예상되는 강우량을 수치예보를 활용하여 기상특보를 제공하고 있으며, 홍수통제소는 하천에서 예상되는 홍수위를 기준으로 홍수특보를 발령하고 있다. 그러나 기상특보는 전국을 동일한 기준으로 홍수위험을 전망하여 각 행정구역별 특성을 반영하지 못하며, 홍수특보는 주요 하천이 없는 행정구역은 활용할 수 없다는 한계를 가지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 과거 홍수피해 현상 조사를 통해 제시된 각 행정구역별 강우기준과 수치예보 자료 중 하나인 국지규모 앙상블예측시스템(LENS, Local ENsemble Prediction System)자료를 활용하여 홍수위험 매트릭스를 구성하고, 이를 통해 홍수위험 대응단계설정 방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 본 연구에서 제시된 행정구역별 홍수위험 매트릭스는 향후 추가적으로 자료 수집을 통해 매트릭스 적용 및 검토가 이루어져야 할 것으로 판단된다.

Why do some local rebel groups choose to form asymmetric alliances with large transnational terrorist organizations? This paper examines asymmetric terrorist alliance patterns by studying the international ties of domestic insurgencies in Southeast Asia. It uses data from Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Thailand to construct a theory defining the determinants of the choice of alliance strategies by terrorist groups. The findings conclude that rebels with limited aims prefer to act alone out of fear of entrapment. They are cautious of becoming associated with the struggle of transnational radical groups and provoking organized response from international and regional counterterrorism authorities. Local groups are more likely to seek alliance with an established movement when they have ambitious final objectives, challenging the core interests of the target state. In this case, the benefits of training and logistic support provided by an experienced organization outweigh the costs of becoming a target for coordinated counterterrorist campaign.

Distributed control system architecture is adopted for I&C systems of Prototype Fast Breeder Reactor, where the geographically distributed control systems are connected to centralized servers & display stations via switched Ethernet networks. TCP/IP communication plays a significant role in the successful operations of this architecture. The communication tasks at control nodes are taken care by TCP/IP offload modules; local area switched network is realized using layer-2/3 switches, which are finally connected to network interfaces of centralized servers & display stations. Safety, security, reliability, and fault tolerance of control systems used for safety-related applications of nuclear power plants is ensured by indigenous design and qualification as per guidelines laid down by regulatory authorities. In the case of commercially available components, appropriate suitability analysis is required for getting the operation clearances from regulatory authorities. This paper details the proposed approach for the suitability analysis of TCP/IP communication nodes, including control systems at the field, network switches, and servers/display stations. Development of test platform using commercially available tools and diagnostics software engineered for control nodes/display stations are described. Each TCP link behavior with impaired packets and multiple traffic loads is described, followed by benchmarking of the network switch's routing characteristics and security features.
