자동차용 컨트롤 암 알루미늄 열간 압출을 위한 포트홀 금형개발 (Development of porthole Die on Aluminum Extrusion for the Automobile Control Arm)

  • The characteristic properties of aluminum, high strength stiffness to weight ratio, good formability, good corrosion resistence, and recycling potential make it the ideal candidate to replace heavier materials in the car to respond to the weight reduction demand within the automotive industry. In this paper, FE simulation was carried out to design an appropriate extrusion die for the automobile control arm. Based on the FE simulation result, a new die design has been proposed for uniform material flow in the cross section of extruded product. And then the welding pressure, extrusion load, and the tendency of mandrel deflection were estimated to verify high quality. In the extrusion experiment, it was possible to produce sound product without defects.

화재하중에 따른 구획화재 실험 연구 (The Study on Compartment Fire Experiment According to Fire Load)

  • 국내에서는 복잡해지고 다양해지고 있는 건축물에서의 화재위험에 대응하기 위해 성능기반 화재안전 설계가 논의되고 있지만, 건축물에서의 다양한 인자들에 의한 화재특성의 에측의 어려움으로 인하여 성능기반 화재안전 설계의 도입이 제한되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 뉴질랜드에서 제시하고 있는 화재위험도별 화재하중 값의 실대형 화재실험을 통해 성능기반 설계 도입을 위한 기준 방향 설정 및 기초 자료로 사용하고자 하였다. 실대형 화재실험은 10 MW급의 실대형 칼로리미터에서 $0.8(L){\times}2.0(H)m$의 단일 개구부를 포함하고 있는 $2.4(L){\times}3.6(W){\times}2.4(H)m$ 크기의 시험체 틀의 내부에 목재 크립을 화재하중에 따라 배치시켜, 목재 크립이 전소할 때 까지 진행하였다. 화재실험에서 열방출률의 변화는 목재 크립에 화염이 착화 된 후 외부로 출화되는 약 90초 이후부터 급격히 증가하였으며, 위험도 레벨 1에서는 최대 4743.4 kW의 열발출률이 실험시작 후 244 초에 측정되었고 위험도 레벨 2에서는 5050.9 kW의 최대 열방출률이 497 초에 측정되었다. 또한 위험도 레벨 3에서는 최대 열방출률이 4446.9 kW로 실험시작 677 초에 측정되었다.

  • An inverter driven induction motor has more superior dynamic characteristic than sine wave driven induction motor. But it has a problem with shaft voltage and bearing current in drive-motor system. This paper presents the analysis of bearing current in inverter-fed induction motor. The proposed method is based on using numerical method (FEM) to derive parasitic parameters in motor. Using the electric field analysis with FEM, the stored energy in dielectric materials of the motor can be calculated and the parasitic capacitances are obtained. Then we compared the proposed method with a conventional method in variable frequency and load conditions. From the comparision of simulation and experiment result, we confirmed that the proposed method is valid.

  • 인버터로 구동되는 측정을 일반적인 상용전원에서 널리 이용되고 있는 T형 등가회로를 이용하여 고정자 저항 실험, 무부하 및 구속 실험 등을 통하여 산정하였으며, 토크 특성 및 전류 측정은 스트레인 게이지(strain gage) 및 홀 센서(hall sensor)블 이용하였다. 1마력 3상농형 유도전동기를 실험에 이용하였으며 실험 측정값의 유효성을 입증하기 위하여 공장 설계값과 비교하였다.

  • In this study, small size stacker Crane for automatic ware house and interface circuit is designed and manufactured. IBM-PC is used as a controller. At 50kg$_{f}$ load, optimal motion velocity is 20 mm/min for X and Y axis and 12 mm/min for Z axis. Position fesolution is 0.005 mm and repeatability is .+-. 0.025 mm. Through characteristic experiment, effectiveness of the designed and manufactured stacker crane. PC control program, and design of interface circuit and construction of control system are shown. From these results, the developed stacker crane can be apply to FMS(Flexible Manufacturing System) and FA(Factory Automation) of industrial field.d.

  • The study was carried out to demonstrate the superiority of used packing in view of energy saving and efficiency of mass transfer, comparing with conventional packing. The results are as follows : 1. Owing to low Pressure drop under high load. 25mm NSW-ring, pp. can cause energy saving 2. The unique magnitudes of used packing are as follows $C_G$=5.78, m=0.67, n=0.46 3. Used packing can make high efficiency including energy saving because of low pres sure drop per the number of transfer unit. To rate the characteristic of packing, It should be carried out that the measurement of pressure drop per packing height and per the number of transfer unfit. This study demonstrated the superiority of used packing by carring out above experiment and could be used as basic reference for design and predicting efficiency of packing tower which is tilled with same packing.

  • This paper deals with the experimental results that apply to a new wire by an artificial flame-maker because it's difficult to directly analyze the characteristic of deterioration by a forest fire. Those results include tension load, extension rate and torsion number for a conductor. In addition, there's been an experiment and analysis about the mechanical characteristics of the wire of ACSR $48mm^2$ which was removed from Pohang area by a forest fire. Then, the database will be made to predict the state of deteriorated wires by a forest fire using those two data, and data necessary to diagnose the life state of an ACSR wire affected by a forest fire will be given.

  • There are increased interests in using new regeneration energy due to the effect of the latest rising oil price. On this account, various practical applications using small stand-alone PV generation system are being made. In this paper, with intent to change mercury lamp using for existing garden lamp with high flux LED, we have considered load characteristic using high flux LED modules applied to PV system. It is simulated with PSIM and made experiment set with a 75[W] solar cell module, DC-DC converter, controller and battery.

  • Several desiccant cooling systems have been developed in terms of cost and performance. In this study a fin-tube exchanger has been used for liquid desiccant dehumidification system. This dehumidifier has been designed to study the absorption characteristic of the aqueous triethylene glycol(TEG) solution which has the flow range from 20 to 50 LPM. The dehumidifier performance characteristics of working factor variables such as inlet solution flow rate, air flow rate, solution concentration and brine temperature have been analyzed. This dehumidifier has the ability to provide running while saving the latent heat load of total energy. The result of this experiment can provide useful data for hybrid air conditioning system.

  • This study was carried out to reduce NOx emissions from diesel engine and to investigate the variation of engine performance using the water injection. In this study the water was extracted from the exhaust gas and injected directly into the intake port with the inlet charge. The water condensing system operated as a closed system without any supplementary water supply. The experimental parameters such as the revolution the torque and the water injection rate are varied and the result from this experiment found the significant NOx reduction whereas the smoke emission increases as water/air ratio increases as the cases like the EGR. In spite of increasing the quantity of the water injection the engine output was slightly decreased and the specific fuel consumption was increased as was anticipated. Especially the system was founded to be effective on the reduction of the NOx emissions at the high load region relatively.
