Control and Operation of Hybrid Microsource System Using Advanced Fuzzy- Robust Controller

  • This paper proposes a modeling and controller design approach for a hybrid wind power generation system that considers a fixed wind-turbine and a dump load. Since operating conditions are kept changing, it is challenge to design a control for reliable operation of the overall system To consider variable operating conditions, Takagi-Sugeno (TS) fuzzy model is taken into account to represent time-varying system by expressing the local dynamics of a nonlinear system through sub-systems, partitioned by linguistic rules. Also, each fuzzy model has uncertainty. Thus, in this paper, a modem nonlinear control design technique, the sliding mode nonlinear control design, is utilized for robust control mechanism In the simulation study, the proposed controller is compared with a proportional-integral (PI) controller. Simulation results show that the proposed controller is more effective against disturbances caused by wind speed and load variation than the PI controller, and thus it contributes to a better quality wind-hybrid power generation system.

  • This paper proposes the structure and the algorithm of the Fuzzy-Neural Controller(FNNC) which is able to adapt itself to unknown plant and the change of circumstances at the Fuzzy Logic Controller(FLC) with the Neural Network. This Learning Fuzzy Logic Controller is made up of Fuzzy Logic controller in charge of a main role and Neural Network of an adaptation in variable circumstances. This construct optimal fuzzy controller applied to the 2-area load frequency control of power system, and then it would examine fitness about parameter variation of plant or variation of circumstances. And it proposes the optimal Scale factor method wsint three preformance functions( E, , U) of system dynamics of load frequency control with error back-propagation learning algorithm. Applying the controller to the model of load frequency control, it is shown that the FNNC method has better rapidity for load disturbance, reduces load frequency maximum deviation and tie line power flow deviation and minimizes reaching and settling time compared to the Optimal Fuzzy Logic Controller(OFLC) and the Optimal Control for optimzation of performance index in past control techniques.

PMSM의 정밀 Robust 위치 제어 및 적응형 외란 관측기 적용 연구 (Experimental Results of Adaptive Load Torque Observer and Robust Precision Position Control of PMSM)

  • A new control method for precision robust position control of a PMSM (Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) using asymptotically stable adaptive load torque observer is presented in the paper. Precision position control is obtained for the PMSM system approximately linearized using the field-orientation method. Recently, many of these drive systems use the PMSM to avoid backlashes. However, the disadvantages of the motor are high cost and complex control because of nonlinear characteristics. Also, the load torque disturbance directly affects the motor shaft. The application of the load torque observer is published in [1] using fixed gain. However, the motor flux linkage is not exactly known for a load torque observer. There is the problem of uncertainty to obtain very high precision position control. Therefore, a model reference adaptive observer is considered to overcome the problem of unknown parameter and torque disturbance in this paper. The system stability analysis is carried out using Lyapunov stability theorem. As a result, asymptotically stable observer gain can be obtained without affecting the overall system response. The load disturbance detected by the asymptotically stable adaptive observer is compensated by feedforwarding the equivalent current which gives fast response. The experimental results are presented in the paper using DSP TMS320c31.

PSCAD/EMTDC를 이용한 측정기반의 부하모델링 연구 (A Study On Measurement-based Load Modeling Using PSCAD/EMTDC)

  • To supply electrical power with high quality, the power system must be optimized in many ways such as planning, control and management. In order to optimize the power system, the analysis of the power system is necessary. The elements of the power system require an accurate model to analysis of the power system. The components of the power systems such as generators, transformers and transmission lines have been studied and researched a lot in their modeling and very sophisticated models have been proposed. However, in case of load in-depth studies on the exact model are required. In this paper, measurement-based load modeling method using real-time measured data is proposed in various methods to reflect the characteristics of the load. To prove the validity of the proposed method, PSCAD/EMTDC program is used to configure the power system and measurement data according to the various failures are used to study on load modeling.

횡방향 거동 특성을 고려한 부하모사 시스템 해석 (Analysis of Load Simulating System Considering Lateral Behavior of a Vehicle)

  • 자동차의 과도한 차체 운동과 조종 불안정성을 유발하는 대표적인 외란 입력으로는 운전자에 의해 가해지는 조향 핸들 조작이다. 급격하고 과도한 핸들 조작은 SUV 차량처럼 기하학적 및 동역학적 특성에 따라 차량 전복 현상도 발생시킬 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 이에 대응할 수 있는 제어 시스템의 구조화에 대하여 다음과 같이 기초 연구를 수행하였다. 운전자 조종으로 유발되는 횡방향 거동에 대한 수학적 모델링을 수행하고, 이를 토대로 차체 운동을 제어할 수 있는 제어기를 설계하였다. 파라미터 불확실성으로 인한 모델링 오차에 대해 강건한 제어 성능을 확보하기 위하여 $H_{\infty}$ 알고리즘을 적용하였다. 비 연성화된 1/4 차량을 기반으로, 차체에 작용하는 모우멘트에 상응하는 동적 부하를 모사할 수 있는 모델을 제시하였다. 동적 시뮬레이션을 수행하여 부하 모사 모델의 타당성을 파악하였다. 차체- 차축- 서스펜션- 타이어로 조합되는 1/4 실험 차량 장치와 부하 모사 모듈, 서스펜션 제어 모듈 및 Hils 기술을 적용하는 차체 거동 제어 시스템에 대한 프레임워크를 제안하였다.

역 프라이자흐 모델에 의한 투자율과 부하각을 이용한 히스테리시스 전동기의 동적 특성 해석 연구 (A Study of Dynamic Characteristic Analysis for Hysteresis Motor Using Permeability and Load Angle by Inverse Preisach Model)

  • Previous dynamic models of hysteresis motor use an extended induction machine equivalent circuit or somewhat different equivalent circuit with conventional one, which makes unsatisfiable results. In this paper, the hysteresis dynamic characteristics of the motor rotor are analyzed using the inverse Preisach model and the hysteresis motor equivalent circuit considering eddy current effect. The hysteresis loop for the rotor ring is analyzed under full-load voltage source static state. The calculated hysteresis loop is then approximated to an ellipse for simplicity of dynamic computation. The permeability and delay angle of the elliptic loop apply to the dynamic analysis model. As a result, it is possible to dynamically analyze the hysteresis motor according to the applied voltage and the rotor material. With this method, the motor speed, generated torque, load angle, rotor current as well as synchronous entry time, hunting effect can be calculated.

외기온도와 부하변화에 따른 산업용 냉각기의 인버터제어 특성 (The Characteristic of Inverter Control by Variation of Refrigeration Load and Outdoor Temperature on Industrial Cooler)

  • This paper presents The performance analysis of inverter control type-industrial cooler with respect to refrigeration load and outdoor temperature. Aside from materials about simulations and foundation data regarding inverter control compressors, currently, data about commercial coolers with inverter control still lack information for performance comparison. Thus, in this paper, the experiments are done to see characteristics of condensation capacity, evaporation capacity, compressor power and COP with respect to outdoor temperature and load by using a commercial inverter control cooler model. As a result, COP difference of the inverter control cooler with respect to load is 30% at the outdoor temperature of $35^{\circ}C$, 29% at the outdoor temperature of $30^{\circ}C$, 34% at $25^{\circ}C$, respectively.

  • The current model based sensorless method has many benefits that it can be robust control for large load torque. However, this method should determine a coefficient of back electro motive force(back-emf). This coefficient is varied by load torque and speed. Also, the coefficient determining equation is not exist, so it is determined only by experiment. On the other hands, using only back-emf estimatior method can not drive in low speed area and it has weakness in load variation. For these problems, this paper suggests the hybrid sensorless method that mixes the back-emf estimator regarding saliency and the current based sensorless model. This estimator offers not only non-necessary coefficient for current sensorless model, but also wide speed area operating in no specific transition method.

지역난방의 일반제어 및 열량제어 에너지 시뮬레이션 (Energy Simulation for Conventional and Thermal-Load Controls in District Heating)

  • Korea district heating systems have mainly used setting temperature control and outdoor reset control. Different from such conventional normal methods, a thermal-load control proposed in Sweden can decrease the return temperature and reduce pump power consumptions because the control is able to provide the appropriate amount of required heat. In this study, further improved predictive optimal control in addition to the conventional controls were simulated in order to verify its effect in district heating system using TRNSYS 17. $200m^2$ apartment housing which accounts for 25% in Korea and is used as a calculation model;. the number of households in the simulation was 9. As a result, a higher temperature difference and decreasing flow rate at primary loop were shown when using thermal-load control.

개별부하 축약을 검증하기 위한 집단부하 구성방법에 관한 연구 (Grouping Method of Loads to Verify the Aggregation of Component Load Models)

  • A component based method out of load modeling is to aggregate component load model according to the composition rate of each component load at load bus based on the circuit theory. But the most of component loads respond complex nonlinear characteristics respect to voltage and frequency variation due to the control techniques and semiconductor elements applied to component load. It needs to verify this approach through actual experiment of the aggregation of component load even if it can be down. To identify this aggregation method well known, this paper is proposed the classifying method of component load characteristics for component loads to group by quantitative analysis. The component load characteristics were divided into several types by KSOM (kohonen self organizing map), which can classify multi-dimension vector, component load pattern, into two-dimension vector. Some ambiguous cases happened from KSOM were classified by the proposed closing degree.
