Moreover, this system with RFID Technology gives intelligence of distribution and record. Because of new agro-livestock products traceability system, farm family's income will increase with customer satisfaction.
To reduce huge losses in pig farms, weaning pigs with weak immune systems are required to be carefully supervised. Even if various researches have been performed for livestock monitoring environment, segmenting each pig from touching pigs is still entrenched as a difficult problem. In this paper, we propose a real-time segmentation method for moving pigs by using motion information in a 24-h video surveillance system. The experimental results with the videos obtained from a domestic pig farm illustrated the possibility for segmenting by using our proposed method in real-time.
he objective of this study is to evaluate and analyze Sincheon basin water environment system. The data were collected from 2010 August to 2016 December including BOD, SS, T-N, T-P. The results were as followed. As the result of comparing the amount of BOD generated by pollution sources in the Sincheon water system, industrial was the highest at 33,259.4 kg/day. In comparison with the tributary, it was estimated that Dong-Du water system reveals the highest level of BOD in the industry. Population and livestock was high in CheongDam and Sang-Pae water system. With the inflow stream of Hyo-Chon, Suk-Woo and Sang-Pae, the pollution degree of BOD and T-N level of Sincheon increased and pollution degree of tributary was higher than that of Sincheon's main stream. The main reason of pollutant of Suk-Woo was from untreated wastewater, and it influenced downstream of Suk-Woo. Hyo-Chon stream satisfy the water quality standard, but Zn was designated as a Monitoring contaminants, was high as 14.670 mg/L (standard 0.02~2.45mg/L)because of textile wastewater. And Sang-Pae stream was polluted by livestock wastewater of livestock farms as a nonpoint source.

Enclosed pig house are creating an environment with high concentrations of gas and dust. Poor conditions in pig farms reduce pig weight and increase disease and accidents for livestock workers. In the pig house, the high concentration of harmful gas may cause asphyxiation accidents to workers and chronic respiratory disease by long-term exposure. As pig farm workers have been aging and feminized, the damage to the health of the harsh environment is getting serious, and real-time monitoring is needed to prevent the damage. However, most of the measuring devices related to humidity, harmful gas, and fine dust except temperature sensors are exposed to high concentrations of gas and dust inside pig house and are difficult to withstand for a long time. The purpose of this study is to develop an wearable based device to monitor the hazardous environment exposed to workers working in pig farms. Based on the field monitoring and previous researches, the measurement range and basic specifications of the equipment were selected, and wearable based device was designed in terms of utilization, economic efficiency, size and communication performance. Selected H2S and NH3 sensors showed the average error of 5.3% comparing to standard gas concentrations. The measured data can be used to manage the working environment according to the worker's location and to obtain basic data for work safety warning.
Smart phone and its applications are currently bringing about significant changes in our lives and it is expected that applying such technology in the area of agriculture could increase the value added and productivity of agriculture with its various uses. This paper proposed a smartphone-based application for monitoring and managing livestock barn in real-time anytime, anywhere. In this study, the characteristics of nonpoint pollutant outflow and contribution rate of pollution in Songya-stream mainstream and tributaries were analyzed. Further, water pollution management and improvement measures for pollution-oriented rivers were proposed. An on-site investigation was conducted to determine the inflow of major pollutants into the basin, and it was found that pollutants generated from agricultural land and livestock facilities flowed into the river, resulting in a high concentration of turbid water. Based on the analysis results of the pollution load data calculated through actual measurement monitoring (flow and water quality) and the occurrence and emission load data calculated using the national pollution source survey data, the S3 and S6 were selected as the concerned pollution tributaries in the Songya-stream basin. Results of cluster analysis using Pearson correlation coefficient evaluation and Density based spatial clustering of applications with noise (DBSCAN) technique showed that the S3 and S6 were most consistent with the C2 cluster (a cluster of Songya-stream mainstream owned area) corresponding to the mainstream of Songya-stream. The analysis results of the major pollutants in the concerned pollution tributaries showed that livestock and land pollutants were the major pollutants. Consequently, optimal management techniques such as fertilizer management, water gate management in paddy, vegetated filter strip and livestock manure public treatment were proposed to reduce livestock and land pollutants.

With the recent increased risk of livestock disease spread and human infection, livestock disease control has become very important. Consequently, there has been an increased attention on an implantable real-time monitoring and traceability system for individual cattle. Therefore, we have developed a robust monitoring and traceability system based on an implantable MFAN/RFID sensor tag. Our design combines the MFAN technology that is capable of robust wireless communication within cattle sheds and the 900MHz RFID technology that is capable of wireless communication without battery. In MFAN/RFID implantable sensor tag monitoring system, UHF sensor tag is implanted under the skin and accurately monitors the body temperature and biological changes without being affected by external environment. In order to acquire power needed by the tag, we install a MFAN/RFID tranceiver on the neck of cattle. The MFAN coordinator passes through the MFAN node and the RFID-reader-combined MFAN/RFID transceiver and transmits/receives the data and power for the sensor tag. The data stored in the MFAN coordinator is transmitted via the internet to the livestock history monitoring system, where it is stored and managed. By developing this system, we hope to alleviate the problems related to livestock disease control.
To offer basic data for restoration technology development of the evergreen broad-leaved forest, this researcher did monitoring on the restoration project of the evergreen broad-leaved forest implemented in Dadohaesang(Marine) National Park for three years starting the year 2005, As a result of the monitoring job of tree height and survival rate of the evergreen broad-leaved forest on the 5 model afforestation-testing sites subsequent to the slanting surface, size of island, and whether the pastured livestock exist or not, it was found that the tree height & survival rate of the evergreen broad-leaved trees planted on the ridge parts of the southwest slanting surface were in better condition than those of the evergreen broad-leaved trees planted on the ridge parts of the northeast slanting surface. The survival rate of the evergreen broad-leaved tree planted on a big island was revealed to be higher than that of the evergreen broad-leaved tree planted on a small island. In addition, the survival rate of the evergreen broad-leaved tree planted in a place where livestock was pastured was revealed to be much lower than that of the evergreen broad-leaved tree planted in a place where there was no livestock. Conclusively, there showed a good tree hight and survival rate of the evergreen broad-leaved tree planted on the ridge parts of the southwest slanting surface, on a big island, and at the place where there was no pastured livestock.
To evaluate potential impacts of shallow groundwater by the leachate from buried carcass, we investigated hydrochemical characteristics of both leachate and shallow groundwater from monitoring wells and surrounding shallow groundwater wells in an area potentially affected by pig carcass burial. The hydrochemical survey was conducted before and after the relocation of a burial pit. The leachate samples and the groundwater affected by leachate showed the hydrochemistry of $Ca-HCO_3$ type with high $NH_4{^+}$ concentrations, while unaffected groundwater was mostly the $Ca(Na)-Cl+NO_3$ type due to pervasive impacts from agrochemicals. The results of factor analysis on hydrochemical data showed the followings: 1) contamination of groundwater from agro-livestock farming and livestock burial are coexisting in the study area, 2) among ionic species, $HCO_3{^-}$, $NH_4{^+}$, $NO_3{^-}$ and Mn are very useful to differentiate the groundwater contamination from leachate, and 3) groundwater contamination by leachate has been recognized around the monitoring wells even after the relocation of a burial pit, likely due to residual contaminants in surrounding soils. Therefore, it is suggested that continued monitoring of groundwater contamination should be conducted after the relocation of carcass burial pits.
A random study of 574 dairy farms in Gyeongnam area was designed to determine 1) management factors that may be associated with the occurrence of drug residues; 2) the dairy farmer's attitudes and knowledge about residues; 3) how these variables influence the occurrence of residues in dairy cattle. Management factors perceived as having the greatest influence on drug residues in milk were insufficient knowledge about withdrawal periods, errors due to hired help, insufficient identification and record of animals treated for mastitis, dry cow treatment for mastitis, and metritis treatment. Seventy-one percent of farms with residues problem used mixed own feeds compared with twenty-nine percent of farms with premedicated feeds. Factors significantly associated with the occurrence of residues were herd size, increased number of hired persons, increased frequency of use of mixed-own feeds, category of medicated feed, and producer's attitude toward the public health significance of residues. Our findings suggest that residue occurrence was mainly associated with errors due to hired help, insufficient knowledge about withdrawal periods, poor animal identification and records of treatment animals and use of medicated feeds. Any residue avodiance educational program needs to stress how to deal with these factors. This educational program should be directed to dairy farmers and employees, especially temporary employees. In addition, Dairy farmer's attitudes and knowledge about drug residues need to be improved. More evidence on the public healths significance of residues should be available to them. Because belife in importance of public healths concerns was related to successful residue avidance and because 81.3% of the dairy farmers with residue problem thought public healths concerns were less important than economic ones, it would be helpful to provide educational programs specifically directed to this issue. it may be useful to provide programs not only for the dairy farmers but also change of their concerns about on the public healths.
