Purpose: This research is motivated by the rise of live-streaming commerce in service industries, aiming to explore factors affecting service product purchases in live-streaming commerce. Extracted independent factors include information provision, vicarious experience, social interaction, visibility, and emotional transmission. Additionally, this study aims to discern the moderating effect of brand reputation in the relationships between independent factors and customer intention to purchase service products in live-streaming commerce. Research design, data and methodology: This study employed a questionnaire survey to collect data and analyzed collected data with statistical analysis methods, including exploratory factor analysis and multiple regression analysis. Results: The analysis results say three factors significantly influenced purchase intentions in live-streaming commerce: information provision, emotional transmission, and price discount. Brand reputation also significantly affects customers' intention to buy service products in live-stream commerce.

During the last decade, social live streaming service like Periscope, Ustream, and YouNow has developed from a niche market into a mainstream activity. In this media environment, social live streaming service has a tremendous impact on the social behaviors of users. Despite the rapid development, there are a lack of studies to make better understand the media environment changes through social live streaming service. This study adopted an affordances approach that leads us to identify six distinctive social affordances (visibility, accessibility, information sharing, social interaction, role-taking, interactive revenue) for user engagement in social live streaming service. Specifically, this study explores the impact of social affordances on perceived flow, followed by user engagement including passive and active engagement. Empirical data analysis with 258 questionnaires suggests that social affordances affected users' flow perception, and flow has an effect on active as well as passive engagement. Contrary to the expectation in a hypothesized research model, only the impact of accessibility on flow was rejected.
This study analyzes the characteristics of mobile live streaming service, the illegal and harmful information characteristics of mobile live streaming service for the purpose of eradicating illegal and harmful broadcasting, and shows illegal and harmful broadcast on the mobile live streaming service and eradication plan. First, we reviewed the mobile live streaming service, illegal and harmful broadcasts through literature review, and secondly surveyed illegal and harmful broadcasts of mobile live streaming services and their awareness and countermeasures. As a result, it is confirmed that the mobile live streaming service is illegal, harmful broadcasting exposure frequency is high, illegal, and harmful broadcasting exposure is caused by characteristics of real time broadcasting rather than user's. In order to eradicate the illegal and mobile information about the mobile live streaming service, it is necessary to fix the illegal service and harmful broadcasting reporting system, but the government has confirmed the requirements for regulatory measures. From a microscopic point of view, it will be necessary to investigate the illegal use of mobile live streaming services and the eradication of harmful information.
The recent surge in live streaming has also changed the market for classical performing arts. Now more than just recording live performances, content specific to live streaming platforms is being produced, and live streaming is emerging as a new alternative to promoting and enjoying classical performances. Therefore, this study empirically analyzed the effect of service quality factors of the classical live streaming performance on the viewer satisfaction and the purchase intention of the on-site performance over the data collected from 198 viewers. Results suggest that, among the service quality factors of the classic live streaming performance, video content, convenience, and price, except for real-time interaction, affected the viewer satisfaction, and viewer satisfaction in turn affected the purchase intention of the on-site performance. Thus the publicity effect of live streaming for classical performing arts seemed to be proved.

Live streaming is a method to provide media service by sending recoded media to a user's video player. In order to provide video and audio contents in real-time for a large number of users simultaneously, live streaming compatible protocols such as RTMP (Real Time Messaging Protocol), HLS (Http Live Streaming), are required. In this paper, we analyzed vulnerability of paid live streaming services with the captured packets from the applications used by six major OTT (over-the-top) companies in Korea supporting live streaming services. We found that streaming channels were not encrypted and access control mechanisms were not properly used. Thus, guest users can freely use paid live streaming services.
It needs to control each objects on various platform and transmit multimedia data to multiple receivers which are for developing a multimedia service with multimedia live streaming in a distributed environment. In this paper, we present a DLS (Distributed Live Streaming) package which support l:N multimedia live streaming in a distributed environment. Also, it has extended RMI which is a distributed object technology and JMF using multimedia transmission/processing. A java-based DLS package has been designed to separate a transmission and a control for more efficient distributed processing. It is possible to apply in development of multimedia service supported 1:N transmission and runned independently to any platform.

Today, research on P2P live streaming has been booming. Live streaming service must ensure timeliness according to real-time. In this paper, suggest mechanism measuring about parent-nodes'dealy time which cuts down cost for selecting parent-node with utilizing ISP information and locality that participate P2P live streaming service.

Adaptive bitrate streaming is a crucial element in the implementation of high-quality streaming of media content over the Internet. Dynamic adaptive streaming over HTTP (MPEG-DASH) has lately emerged as the de facto solution for over-the-top (OTT) video streaming services. In this paper, we perform macro-level analysis on a real-world MPEG-DASH-based Internet live broadcasting service to gain insight into its behavior throughout the end-to-end service-provision chain, from broadcasters to viewers. Based on this analysis, we propose methods to improve the quality-of-experience (QoE) of MPEG-DASH-based services, particularly with regard to reducing broadcasting delays between recording and viewing of videos, as well as synchronizing client terminals.
Currently, several research studies are looking to improve the quality of DASH (Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP) based live streaming services. However, conventional DASH based streaming schemes cannot provide seamless playback while maintaining the low buffering and it adversely affects the QoE (Quality of Experience). To address this problem, we propose the QoE driven segment scheduling scheme. The proposed scheme adaptively schedules the segment request message according to the time and variation of segment fetching. Simulation results indicate that the proposed scheme improves the QoE of live streaming service by maintaining the low buffering delay and reducing the buffer underflow events.
We designed and implemented streaming server based on MEPG DASH, which is able to provide high quality video with low-latency live streaming service like 360 VR video on the existing cable network via low-spec media service devices such as IPTV and OTT(Over the Top) SettopBox. We also designed and applied management process which is cable of supporting services by cashing streaming video file(MPD, Segment Files) to reduce the server response delay time. Further more, we confimred that it is also able to provide high quality of tiled video streaming with over 50,000kbps bitrate and 8K@60P through the experiment.
