Since the introduction of literature in reading and writing during the 1970s, considerable research has attempted to determine whether literature has significantly positive effects upon enhancement of reading proficiency. It is said that literature extends our knowledge of the world. Through books, we can experience other people's thoughts, experiences, and ideas (Frye, 1964). This paper explored the role of children's literature for the teaching of reading through the literature-based instruction. It focused on why and how children's literature serves as an important context for enhancing learner's reading proficiency of English. It also discussed the authentic use of literature-based strategies for practical classroom use, and suggested the future directions for research toward the literature-based instruction in the domain of reading comprehension.

최근에는 인쇄된 매체인 책과 함께 컴퓨터나 인터넷을 이용한 문학작품인 전자문학에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있으며, 이의 활용에 대해서는 다양한 측면에서 활발한 탐구가 있어왔다. 전자도서관을 이용한 효과적인 자료의 탐색, 전자문학 중심의 온라인 독서교육의 전개, 웹 문학의 교육적 활용 탐색 등의 연구가 있어왔고, 그것의 효과에 대해서 매우 긍정적이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 아동이 흥미를 갖고 있는 매체인 정을 기반으로 문학교육을 전개하는 방법을 탐색하고, 이를 구체화하여 모형으로 제시하였다.

Objectives : KIOM(Korean Institute of Oriental Medicine) built up korean medical paper database and services it through information portal OASIS. The database are updated about 1,600 papers and 48,000 references annually. Because lots of manpower and time are needed to update database, it is very important to raise up efficiency and quality of it. Methods : In this paper, we implemented web based database building system utilizing pre-built OASIS' database to improve the working process, data quality and ease of management. Results : First we designed and implemented web based system to input bibliography of the paper efficiently. It raised efficiency using OASIS' paper and reference database. Second we improved the refining process using web based system to raise up data quality. And third we developed the manager functions of web based system to control and check the working process. Conclusions : If we add korean medical dictionary and link outside paper database in the future, we hope that work efficiency and data quality will be raised more. And because the database schema of OASIS system and developed system are different, we are implementing the data transformation system.

Scientific literature is the most reliable and comprehensive source of knowledge for scientific and biomedical information. Citation information in the literature is also reliable source for linking between literatures. We proposed CiNet, a graphic user interface based tool that extracts the trend of the research using citation information. We can navigate related literatures and extract keywords from the linked literature using this tool. These extracted keywords will be helpful to researchers who want to survey the information.

EBM is "the conscientious, explicit and judicious use of current best evidence in mating decisions about the care of the individual patient. It means integrating individual clinical expertise with the best available external clinical evidence from systematic research." EBM is the integration of clinical expertise, patient values, and the best evidence into the decision making process for patient care. The practice of EBM is usually triggered by patient encounters which generate questions about the effects of therapy, the utility of diagnostic tests, the prognosis of diseases, or the etiology of disorders. The best evidence is usually found in clinically relevant research that has been conducted using sound methodology. Evidence-based medicine requires new skills of the clinician, including efficient literature-searching, and the application of formal rules of evidence in evaluating the clinical literature. Evidence-based medicine converts the abstract exercise of reading and appraising the literature into the pragmatic process of using the literature to benefit individual patients while simultaneously expanding the clinician's knowledge base. This review will briefly discuss about concepts of evidence medicine and method of critical appraisal of literatures.

The objective of this paper is to present how to use Grounded Theory Methodology for conducting a literature review that produces new insights and conceptualizations. In this paper, we have employed Wolfswinkel et al.(2013)'s method, which is called by Grounded Theory Literature-Review Method, for a rigorous literature review. We have utilized this method to capture the concept and insights of individuals' shadow wok in digital environments. By analyzing the relevant literature based on Wolfswinkel et al.'s guide, we have extracted 73 codes in the coding steps and finally showed 12 categories by incorporating similar concepts from those codes. Based on the categories, we end this paper by developing the academic definitions of shadow work in digital environments.

이 연구는 문학교육 현상에 대한 관심의 일환에서 고전문학 작품의 교과서 수록 맥락을 탐색하고, 이를 매개로 고전문학의 교육적 가치에 대한 인식을 규명하는 것을 목표로 한다. 이는 교과서가 고전문학교육의 실행에 지배적 영향력을 갖고 있으며, 특히 교과서 수록 제재는 특정한 사회적 조건 속에서 교육의 의도, 요구, 관점 등에 따라 선정된다는 점을 전제로 한다. 고전문학의 교육적 가치를 고전성과 문학성으로 나누고, 이를 준거로 2009, 2011 개정 교육과정에 따른 고등학교 문학 교과서를 대상으로 수록 실태와 맥락을 탐색하였다. '문학의 역할', '문학의 수용과 생산', '문학과 삶'의 영역에서 현대문학위주로 수록, 편성됨으로써 고전문학은 전반적으로 소외, 배제되고 있으며, 교육과정에 따른 교과서를 비교하여 고전성 강조와 문학성 약화의 경향성이 전반적으로 심화되고 있음을 밝혔다. 이처럼 고전문학이 과거의 산물이자 역사적 자료의 차원에서만 수록되는 문제를 해결하기 위해서는 교육과정, 교과서 차원의 외적 변화 못지않게 고전문학의 본질에 대한 인식의 전환과 같이 내적 차원의 대응이 요청된다. '문학'으로서의 보편성과, '고전'으로서의 시공간적 거리감이 오늘날 학습자의 문제 상황과 요구에 응답하는 다양한 관계 맺음으로 연결되어야 하고, 이로써 교과서 수록맥락과 양상의 다각화, 수록 가능한 작품의 폭과 범위의 확대를 기대할 수 있다. 학습량 감축, 역량 개념의 도래, 전통적인 문학 개념의 해체와 같은 외적 환경의 변화 또한 맹목과 당위의 차원을 넘어 이 같은 고전문학의 새로운 가치 탐색을 끊임없이 요청하고 있다.

본 연구는 만성폐쇄성폐질환자에게 수중운동 중재의 효과를 파악하기 위해 체계적 문헌고찰 및 메타 분석하였다. 선정된 문헌은 2013부터 2018년 7월까지 8개 검색엔진(Cochrane central, EMbase, Cinahl, Pubmed, Riss4U, NDSL, DBPIA, Koreamed)으로 체계적으로 문헌 검색하였다. 2명의 연구자가 문헌을 선정하고, 질 평가하였다. 총 5개의 문헌이 선정되었으며, 문헌의 질 평가 결과가 우수하지 않았다. 또한 수중운동 중재와 일반적인 간호를 메타 분석한 결과 6분 보행거리, 삶의 질에서 효과가 큰 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 COPD 환자를 대상으로 수중 내에서 이뤄지는 다양한 형태의 운동 중재를 소개하여 프로그램 적용에 유용한 자료가 될 것으로 생각된다. 그러나 문헌의 수가 적어 일반화에 어려움이 있다.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the technologies powered by AI fuel the fourth industrial revolution. Being the primary adopter of such innovations, banking has recently started using the most common AI-based technology, i.e., conversational agents. Although research extensively focuses on this niche area and provides bibliometric understanding for such agents in other industries, a similar review with scientometric insights of the banking literature concerning AI conversational agents is absent till date. Furthermore, in the era following the pandemic, banks are faced with the imperative to provide solutions that align with the changing landscape of remote consumer behavior. As a result, banks are proactively integrating technology-driven solutions, such as automated agents, to effectively address the growing demand for remote customer support. Hence more research is needed to perfect such agents. In order to bridge these existing gaps, the present study undertook a comprehensive examination of two decades' worth of banking literature. A meticulous review was conducted, analyzing approximately 116 papers published from 2003 to 2023. The aim was to provide a scientometric overview of the topic, catering to the research needs of both academic and industrial professionals. Holistically, the study seeks to present a macro-view about the existing trends in AI based banking conversational agents' literature while focusing on quantity, qualitative and structural indicators that are effectively necessary to offer new directions for the AI-based banking solutions. Our study, therefore, presents insights surrounding the literature, using selected techniques related to performance analysis and science mapping.

This study examined the effects of Literature-based Mathematical Activities using scaffolding (LMS) on the mathematical achievement, interest, and vocabulary of day care children. The experimental group of 15 boys and 15 girls was exposed to both literature and teacher's scaffolding while the comparison group of 14boys and 16 girls had traditional mathematics curriculum. The experiment was carried out for 8 weeks. ANCOVA and T-test were employed for a statistical analysis. The results revealed statistically significant differences in mathematical achievement, interest, and vocabulary between an experimental and control groups. We can conclude, therefore, that LMS is more effective in developing children's mathematical thinking abilities than a traditional mathematical curriculum.
