액체메탄엔진용 믹싱헤드 일체형 다중점화장치 (A Mixing Head Integrated, Multi-Ignition Device for Liquid Methane Engine)

  • 2단형 소형위성발사체 상단 메탄엔진에 다중점화가 가능한 간결한 점화기를 개발하고 있다. 첫 번째로 적층제조 기술을 활용하여 믹싱헤드와 일체형으로 다중점화장치를 설계 및 제작하였다. 두 번째로 연소기 헤드에 공급되는 점화 추진제를 주-추진제 배관에서 분기하여 공급함으로써 점화가스 저장을 위한 별도의 고압 용기가 필요없다. 1톤급 액체산소/액체메탄 엔진 연소기 헤드에 일체형으로 고안된 신규 점화기에 대해서 점화기 단독시험, 연소기 점화시험 및 연소기 성능시험 등의 다양한 시험을 수행하였고, 안정적인 점화 성능을 확인하였다.

자기소지에서 Quartz의 Cristobalite화에 미치는 알칼리 금속산화물의 영향 (Effects of Alkali Oxides on the Cristobalitization of Quartz in Whiteware Body)

  • This is a study on the effects of cristobalite transition of quartz in semi-vitrious whiteware body, as addition of alkali and alkali earth oxides, prepared by pottery stone, feldspar, kaolin and clay minerals. The amounts of ${\alpha}$-quartz to ${\alpha}$-cristobalite transition, F.O.C. (fraction of cristobalite), were increased with firing temperature. In MgO added body, ${\alpha}$-quartz was decreased and the formation of cristobalite was increased. Effects of K2O addition was remarkably decreased the formation of cristobalite. Additive effects of MgO and K2O were confirmed that it was very different to variation of transition temperature of metakaolinite to Si-Al spinel structure in thermal reaction of kaolinite minerals. Result CaO addition was ineffective to transition temperature, and the transition temperature in Na2O added body was decreased, but relative intensity of quartz and cristobalite crystal in XRD results was decreased. This was characterized by the effects on the formation of liquid phase much more.

적외선 스펙트럼 측정방식을 이용한 윤활유의 변화연구 (Infrared Spectroscopic Investigation of Lubricants under Shear)

  • Molecular alignment has been postulated as influencing non-Newtonian behavior of liquid lubricants containing various additives. Four blended lubricants, two synthetic and two mineral were analyzed by FTIR spectroscopy. All of the lubricants exhibited polarization changes in their infrared emission spectra at 60$\circ$C under shear. For this work a special mockup journal bearing was constructed to seperate load and shear effects. At a temperature of 100$\circ$C polarization by shear was always reduced, presumably by Browninn motion. This work should be useful in pointing to the shear-sensitive factors. The presence of of a VI improving additive is manifested by the independence of the infrared emissivity with temperature at several wavelengths; a lubricant without a VI improver generally shows a decrease of emissivity at higher temperature.

  • We have developed new in-cell retarder materials that provide good transmittance and resolution with the goal of enhancing the properties of transflective IPS-LCDs. We explored various additive surfactants to optimize the applicability of the materials. Moreover, we selected photopolymerization initiators and liquid crystal diacrylate monomers as negative-type photo-patternable retarder materials, seeking to improve resolution and transmittance.

Frit 첨가량에 따른 PDP용 형광체의 특성 연구 (Characteristics of Phosphors for PDP with Frit Contents)

  • Because the plasma display panel has used red, green and blue(RGB) phosphors, it has suffer from two intrinsic problems; 1) the cell defect due to the lack of binding force between phosphor particles and 2) mis-discharge because of difference of electrical characteristics among RGB phosphors. In order to control the mechanical and electrical properties of RGB phosphors, frit with $ZnOB_2O_3-SiO_2-Al_2O_3$ system was added to RGB phosphor as sintering additive. The mechanical properties were increased by the amount of frit. The amount of frit under 5 wt% rarely affected dielectric constant. However, there was the limit of amount because of decreasing optical properties seriously; over 3 wt% in red, over 10 wt% in green and blue.

고들빼기 추출물이 인지질막 Liposome의 안정성 및 유동성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Godulbaegi Extracts on the Stability and Fluidity of Phospholipid Liposomal Membranes)

  • We investigated the effects of godulbaegi extracts on the physiochemical properties of biological membranes as membrane stability and fluidity employing the phospholipid liposomal membrances as a biomembrane-mimetic system. The addition of the godulbaegi extracts to the phospholipid exterted great effects stagbilized the barrier function of the liposomal membranes in proportion to the concentration of the additive and significantly increased the membranes fluidity. The values of the fluorescence polarization of 1,6-diphenyl 1,3,5-hexatriene (DPH) decreased gradually as the temperature increased, and decreased abruptly near the phase transition temperature (Tm) of the liposome from gel to liquid crystalline state as usual. These results suggest that the activities of the godulbaegi extracts to enhance the stability and fluidity of the liposomal membranes have implication in their biological activities.

  • In order to realize the commercial application of HTSC materials, it is necessary to develop the fabrication process of high Tc oxide superconductor materials with desired shape and for practical application and high critical current density as well as good mechanical strength which can withstand high lorenz force generated at high magnetic field. Much studies have been concentrated to develop the fabrication technique for high critical current density but still there are a lot of gap which should be overcome for large scale application of HTSC materials at liquid nitrogen temperature. Recently some new fabrication techniques have been developed for YBaCuO bulk superconductor with high mechanical strength and critical current density. In this project, the establishment of fabrication condition and additive effects of second elements were examined so as to improve the related properties to the practical use of YBaCuO superconductor, and we reported the production of the YBaCuO high Tc superconductor by the pyrolysis method.

수소를 첨가한 디젤엔진의 연소 및 배기특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on Combustion and Emission Characteristics of Diesel Engine with Hydrogen Application)

  • The International maritime organization(IMO), in an effort to slow down the global warming, proposes reduction in ship's speed as a way to lower the rate emissions from ships. In addition, since ship's fuel cost have been increased, the shipping volumes, fuel-saving technology are being required urgently. Therefore, in this present study, a method of reducing the fuel cost that can improve the performance of the diesel engine was tried by introducing a predetermined amount (0.1~0.3% of the mass amount of fuel used) of hydrogen fuel additive. The experimental conditions of the test engine were 1500rpm and torque BMEP-10b ar. The engine performances (power output, fuel consumption rate, p-max, exhaust temperature) were compared before and after addition of hydrogen fuel additives. This experimental study confirmed reducing at least 2% fuel consumption and 2.19% NOx emission.

  • LCD(liquid crystal display)에서 칼라를 만드는 방법에는 가색 혼법(additive color method)$^{(1)}$ 과 감색 혼법(subtractive color method)$^{(2).(3)}$ 이 있다. 가색 혼법은 빛의 3원색인 red, green, blue의 칼라 필터를 인접하게 배치시키고 각각의 칼라 필터에 해당 칼라의 신호를 인가하여 밝기를 제어함으로서 색을 표현하는 방법으로 대비비(contrast ratio)가 높고 표현할 수 있는 색상의 범위(gamut)가 넓고 액정 셀의 두께가 얇다는 장점이 있지만, 반면에 빛의 투과율이 낮다는 단점이 있다. 거기에 비해 감색 혼법은 cyan, magenta, yellow의 3색의 표시소자로서 3-stack을 구성하여, 각층에 해당 칼라의 신호를 인가하여 밝기를 제어함으로서 색을 표현하는 방식으로 광 투과량은 가색 혼법의 경우보다 높으나, 완전한 dark상태의 구현이 어렵기 때문에 명암대비비가 낮다는 단점이 있다.
