  • A result of Hardy and Littlewood relates Holder continuity of analytic functions in the unit disk with a bound on the derivative. Gehring and Martio extended this result to the class of uniform domains. In this paper we obtain a similar result to the class of uniformly John domains in terms of the inner diameter metric. We give several properties of a domain with the property. Also we show some results on the Holder continuity of conjugate harmonic functions in the above domains.

  • Let Ω be a proper open subset of ℝn and p(·) : Ω → (0, ∞) be a variable exponent function satisfying the globally log-Hölder continuous condition. In this article, the author introduces the "geometrical" variable Hardy spaces Hp(·)r (Ω) and Hp(·)z (Ω) on Ω, and then obtains the grand maximal function characterizations of Hp(·)r (Ω) and Hp(·)z (Ω) when Ω is a strongly Lipschitz domain of ℝn. Moreover, the author further introduces the "geometrical" variable local Hardy spaces hp(·)r (Ω), and then establishes the atomic characterization of hp(·)r (Ω) when Ω is a bounded Lipschitz domain of ℝn.

  • We consider the growth norm of a measurable function f defined by defined by $${\parallel}f{\parallel}-\sigma=ess\;sup\{\delta_D(z)^\sigma{\mid}f(z)\mid:z{\in}D\}$$, where $\delta_D(z)$ denote the distance from z to ${\partial}D$. We prove some kind of optimal growth norm estimates for a on convex domains.

  • We prove the global regularity of weak solutions to a conormal derivative boundary value problem for quasilinear elliptic equations in divergence form on Lipschitz domains under the controlled growth conditions on the low order terms. The leading coefficients are in the class of BMO functions with small mean oscillations.

  • A result of Hardy and Littlewood relates Holder continuity of analytic functions in the unit disk with a bound on the derivative. Gehring and Martio extended this result to the class of uniform domains. We call it the Hardy-Littlewood property. Langmeyer further extended their result to the class of John disks in terms of the inner length metric. We call it the Hardy-Littlewood property with the inner length metric. In this paper we give several properties of a domain which satisfies the Hardy-Littlewood property with the inner length metric. Also we show some results on the Holder continuity of conjugate harmonic functions in various domains.

  • In 2016, the Hurwitz metric was introduced by D. Minda in arbitrary proper subdomains of the complex plane and he proved that this metric coincides with the Poincaré's hyperbolic metric when the domains are simply connected. In this paper, we provide an alternate definition of the Hurwitz metric through which we could define a generalized Hurwitz metric in arbitrary subdomains of the complex plane. This paper mainly highlights various important properties of the Hurwitz metric and the generalized metric including the situations where they coincide with each other.
