Implementation of bluetooth LAN Access Point for the wireless Local access (근거리 무선 제어를 위한 Bluetooth LAN Access Point 구현)

  • In this paper, LAN Access Point is realized by making out bluetooth protocol stack in Linux Kernel, porting Linux in an embeded system employed bluetooth module. Hardware for a general-purpose embeded system is designed and Linux Kernel is ported after deploying Bluetooth Module. Also, Boot loader for system booting and management is composed, and Kernel is modified to meet with the system. Finally, Ethernet devise driver is made out, and bluetooth protocol Stack and Lan Access Point are realized. The possibility of TCP/IP communication through LAN Access Point to PC employed Bluetooth module, which is considered as client, is evaluated. From the evaluation results, we can see that the performance in Telnet FTP, Web browsing through Bluetooth LAN Access Point is satisfactory.

  • With the prevalence of mobile devices, many organizations introduce MDM BYOD and try to increase the level of security with them. However, device control of mobile devices in application level cannot be a solution against the fundamental problems. In this paper, we propose a more flexible and more secure method to control the hardware devices using Linux Security Module in the kernel level with the mandatory access control.

  • 본 논문은 IPS 구축에 있어서 핵심적인 역할을 수행하는 운영체제를 위해 최근 각광을 받고 있는 Embedded Linux Kernel 의 성능을 테스트하기 위한 환경을 구축한다. Benchmarking tool 인 UnixBench 프로그램을 사용하여 성능을 테스트 한다. 또한 standard kernel 의 성능 테스트도 같이 포함하여 종합적으로 성능 결과를 비교 분석한다. 이런 실험 결과를 통해서 IPS 시스템에 적합한 임베디드 리눅스 운영체제 결정을 하고자 한다.

  • Recently, most of the embedded system have the function of multimedia information processing and network connecting. This make the overall system more complicated and need a new approach. Moreover the embedded system must be real-time system, which are different with Linux is constructed and the kernel is redesigned on the strong-arm board in order to make the real-time embedded web-server system.

  • In this paper, we have designed and simulated a new file transmission method. This method restricts memory copy and context switching happened in traditional file transmission. This method shows an improved performance than traditional method in network environment. When the UNIX/LINUX system that uses the existing file transfer technique transmits a packet to the remote system, a memory copy between the user and kernel space occurs over twice at least. Memory copy between the user and kernel space increase a file transmission time and the number of context switching. As a result, the existing file transfer technique has a problem of deteriorating the performance of file transmission. We propose a new algorithm for solving these problems. It doesn't perform memory copy between the user and kernel space. Hence, the number of memory copy and context switching is limited to the minimum. We have modified the network related source code of LINUX kernel 2.6.0 to analyzing the performance of proposed algorithm and implement new network system calls.

  • 실시간 시스템이란 요청된 작업의 논리적 정확성과 시간적 제약을 만족하게 하는 시스템으로 요청된 작업을 예측 가능한 시간 내에 완료하는 시스템을 말한다. 범용 운영체제인 Linux는 실시간성을 지원하지 않기 때문에 ARM 프로세서(Processor) 기반의 Linux 환경에서도 실시간성을 제공하기 위해 본 연구를 진행한다. 본 연구는 Exynos 5422 ARM 프로세서에서 제공하는 타이머를 활용하여 실시간성을 확보하여 Linux 환경에 대한 실시간성 지원 제약을 해결할 수 있다.

  • We suggest AKL(abstract kernel layer) to. the design and implementation of WAP on basis of multi-platform. AKL is running on the various kernel including REX, MS-DOS, MS-Windows, UNIX and LINUX. For the purpose of it, AKL makes machine-dependant features be minimized and supports a consistent interface on API(application program interface) point of views. Therefore, It makes porting times of a device be shorten and makes easy of maintenance. We validated our suggestion as a consequent of porting WAP into PalmV PDA and mobile phone with AKL.

  • 최근 하루가 다르게 증가하는 이동전화 가입자의 통화 품질을 보장하기 위해CDMA중계기의 중요도가 증가하고 있으며 자동화된 모니터링 시스템의 필요성이 대두되었다. Embedded Internet하에 CDMA중계기를 임베디드 리눅스 시스템과 연동하여 리눅스 커널 레벨에서의 모니터링 방안으로 EKMM(Embedded internet based Kernel level Monitoring Modules)시스템을 제시한다. 본 시스템은 SA-1110 마이크로 프로세스로 구현된 하드웨어에 시리얼 디바이스 드라이브와 네트웍 디바이스 드라이브를 설계하였다. 또한 리눅스 커널을 재구성하며 동적 로딩 방식으로 EKMM이 탑재되어 기존의 중계기 임베디드 시스템 보다 기능 확장성이 뛰어나고 성능이 향상된 중계기 모니터링 시스템을 설계 구현하였다.

  • Recently, demands of information devices are increasing as we can find so many information devices around us such as smartphone, MID(Mobile Internet Device), Tablet. These characteristics of information devices services should support soft real-time based time guaranteed multimedia services and control internet appliances. In this situation, soft real-time supported system should be developed to consider as a total aspect of hardware, kernel, middleware, application. But this paper will describe soft real-time supporting and evaluation methods for information device as an aspect of only kernel.
