As the climate crisis intensifies, the need to improve the climate resilience of developing countries is ever increasing. Hence, the international community is seeking ways to effectively conduct climate technology transfer by linking the projects with financial mechanisms. However, commercialization of climate technology in developing countries is no easy feat as comprehensive knowledge on the target country is a prerequisite for seeking a suitable technology-financial linkage measure. Hence, in-depth discussions on effective climate technology and financial linkage measures have become an important global agenda, and South Korea, as a country with long experience in climate technology transfer, and a strong ecosystem for public climate technology, should step forward to take up a leading role. Against this backdrop, this paper proposes strategies and implementation measures for linking funds from the Multilateral Development Banks (MDB) with Korea's Public Climate Technology (PCT) by examining several key areas of R&D, international cooperation, and technology commercialization.
When illuminated with strong visible light, the reaction center Dl protein of photo system II is photodamage and degraded. Reactive oxygen species and endogenous cationic radicals generated by photochemical reactions are the cause of the damage to the Dl protein. Recently we found that the photodamaged Dl protein cross-links with the surrounding polypeptides such as D2 and CP43 in photosystem II. As the cross-linking reaction is dependent on the presence of oxygen, reactive oxygen species are suggested to be involved. Among the reactive oxygen species examined, ? OH was most effective in the formation of the cross-linked products. These results indicate that the cross-linking is mostly due to ? OH generated at photosystem II. The cross-linking site of the Dl protein is not known. As several tyrosine residues exist at the DE loop of the Dl protein, there is a possibility that di-Tyr is formed between the DE loop of the Dl protein and surrounding polypeptides during the strong illumination. Therefore, we examined the formation of di-Tyr using the monoclonal antibody against di-Tyr under excess illumination of the photosystem II membranes. The results obtained here suggest that no di-Tyr is formed during the excess illumination of photosystem II.
Thermal cross-linking method of poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) using poly(acrylic acid) (PAA) was carried out on PVA/PAA hydrogels. The level of gelation was measured in the PVA/PAA hydrogels with various PAA contents. The swelling behavior at various pHs showed that the swelling kinetics and water contents of the PVA/PAA hydrogels reached equilibrium after 30 h, and the time to reach the equilibrium state decreased with increasing PAA content in the hydrogel. The water content increased with increasing pH of the buffer solution. The permeation and release of the drug were tested using indomethacin as a model drug. The permeated and released amounts of the drug increased with decreasing the PAA content because of the low free volume in the hydrogel due to the higher cross-linking density. The kinetic profile of drug release at various pHs showed that all samples reached the equilibrium state within the 5 h.

The present article describes a novel method of preparing the sulfonated polysulfone-based PEMs for DMFC, which are excellent in film quality, proton conductivity, methanol impermeability and mechanical properties. No depression in film quality or difficulty in film preparation is observed, even though sulfonated group of the PEMs are kept as high as 70 mol %. Allyl-terminated cooligo-PESs containing the organic sulfonate groups were solvent-cast into films and then thermally treated for cross-linking. Cross-linked sulfonated polysulfone-based PEMs gave unprecedented reduction of methanol cross-over and high ionic conductivity through in-situ thermal polymerization and cross-linking of telechelic sulfonated sulfone oligomers during a membrane preparation.

The purpose of this study is to propose a plan to implement the comprehensive linking system centered on identifiers in order to provide seamless academic information services to researchers. To achieve this goal, interviews were conducted with 17 researchers from five centers and one secretariat belonging to KISTI. The contents of the interview are about the establishment and management status of the identifier of the academic information service DB. As a result of the interview, it was found that the identification rate for identifiers such as KOI was high in the case of domestic articles DB, but the identification rate for global identifiers such as ORCID was low in the case of foreign articles DB except for DOI. To solve this problem, this study proposes the council for joint use of a comprehensive linking system to build the comprehensive linking system model centered on identifiers. The joint use council will be organized around domestic academic information distribution institutions, and the council is expected to discover and implement new services through ID linkage by collecting foreign identifiers.

The killing activity of antibody activated CD$4^+$T cells was completely blocked by herbimycin A, a protein tyrosine kinase (PTK) inhibitor, but not by bisindolylamaleimide, a protein kinase C (PKC) inhibitor. Herbimycin A treated human or bovine peripheral blood CD$4^+$T cells lacked PTK activity and failed to kill virally infected target cells even after cross-linking of CD4 molecules. The CD$4^+$cross-linking failed to induce effector cell proliferation or the transcription of TNF${\beta}$ Upregulation of TNF${\beta}$ was induced by incubating the antibody activated effector cells with BHV-1 infected D17 target cells for 10 h. Anti-TNF${\beta}$ antibody partially abolished (13-44%) the direct effector cell-mediated antiviral cytotoxicity. However, this antibody neutralized 70 to 100% of antiviral activity of effector and target cell culture supernatants against BHV-1 infected D17 cells. The inhibition level of the antiviral activity by the antibody was dependent on the effector and target cell ratio. These results support the hypothesis that increased p$56^ICK enzyme activity in effector cells transduces a signal critical for effector cell recognition of viral glycoproteins expressed on the target cells. This study was carried out in order to investigate protein cross-linking in freeze-dried meat of flounder (Limanda herzensteini). Changes in solubility or extractability of proteins and electrophoretic patterns of the extracted proteins were determined to monitor the cross-linking during the storage of freeze-dried meat. Development of nonenzymatic browning and the loss of in vitro protein digestibilily were also measured to assess their influences on the changes of functional and nutritional properties of proteins. In addition, the effects of lysine added, and removal of fat and water extractives were also mentioned. The extractability of protein decreased upon storage time and temperature, and the loss of solubility of myosin was evident. In case of the samples stored at $5^{\circ}C$ for 150 days, the extractability of protein decreased $26.4\%$, while that of the samples stored at $20^{\circ}C$ for 60 days decreased about $39.7\%$. And it was noted that the loss of solubility of myosin was $68.3\%$ and $98.1%$ for the same storage conditions, respectively. It was noteworthy that the samples treated with $L-lysine{\cdot}HCl$ seemed to prevent more or less the loss of protein solubility, in that, even stored at $20^{\circ}C$ for 120 days, revealed only $57.03\%$ decrease. The nonenzymatic browning was proceeded with the increase of storage temperature, especially, in the samples treated with glucose. This suggests that the decrease in extractibility of myosin was accompanied by the extent of browning. But the browning was retarded in defatted samples. The in vitro apparent protein digestibility was also higher in the samples defatted or water extracted. It was suggested from these results that changes in properties of proteins in freeze dried fish meat were led by the protein cross-linking which was attributed to Maillard type of reactions and protein-lipid interactions.
The Dexamethasone (DEX) loaded chitosan microspheres were prepared by thermal denaturation and chemical cross-linking method using a dierent concentration of glutaraldehyde as chemical cross-linking agent. The prepared microspheres were evaluated for the percentage of Drug Loading (DL), Encapsulation Efficiency (EE) and surface morphology by Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). DL and EE were found to be maximum range of 10.0 to 10.79 % and 58.19 to 64.73 % respectively. The SEM Photographs of the resultant microspheres exhibited fairly smooth surfaces and predominantly spherical in appearance. In addition, Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) and Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) shown that there was no interaction between the drug and polymer. In vitro and in vivo release studies revealed that the release of dexamethasone was sustained and extended up to 63 days and effectively controlled by the extent of cross-linking agent. Non-clinical parameters such as paw volume, hematological parameters like Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR), Paced Cell Volume (PCV), Total Leucocytes Count (TLC), Hemoglobin (Hb), Differential Cell Count (DCC) were investigated in Fruend's Complete Adjuvant (FCA) induced arthritic rats. Radiology and histopathological studies were also performed in order to evaluate the therapeutic efficacy of the DEX-loaded microspheres in extenuating the rat arthritic model.

Structural stability and shock absorption are important properties for corrugated board. In order to maintain structural stability, adhesive properties between top/bottom liners and corrugated medium are not only essential but also important for productivity and product quality. Borax has been an essential ingredient in corrugating adhesive solution. Borax increases viscosity, bonding between starchs and green adhesive bond. The objective of this research is to improving adhesive strength and viscosity stability by adding cross-linking agent instead of borax. Rheology and penetration of main starch gelatinization slurry were affected by borax addition level. Borax increased viscosity and decreased viscosity stability, while cross-linking additives increased viscosity stability and adhesive strength by anchoring effect.
