Wireless sensor network is used at the environment to obtain nearby information and since such information is transferred through wireless link, it causes unnecessary re-sending and disadvantage of big energy consumption at node. Because of this to select reliable, energy effective link, method of estimating quality on wireless link using RSSI(received signal strength indication), LQI(link quality indication), etc is needed on wireless link. To set up path extending survival time by reducing energy consumption of nodes at the wireless sensor network, the thesis selects with small standard deviation of LQI after obtaining LQI within each path. Additionally, LQI standard deviation routing algorithm is compared based on LQI algorithm such as minimum-LQI, hop-LQI weight and RF output -7dBm. According to the outcome, the algorithm suggested has superior characters such as the number of node, retransmission rate and network life span respectively compared to existing algorithm. Therefore, energy consumption can be efficiently reduced in case that LQI standard deviation routing scheme suggested by this paper is adapted to wireless sensor network.

As interest in MANET is increasing nowadays, research upon an efficient MANET routing protocol is actively under way. A LQA(Link Qualty Aware)-AODV routing protocol to deal with frequent changes of topology and wireless link variations under tactical operating conditions is proposed in this paper. The suggested LQA-AODV takes into account the channel capacity of each hop during the route request process of the traditional AODV protocol. In detail, LQA-AODV adds a channel capacity cost value to the RREQ message format that occurs during the routing process of the existing AODV Routing Protocol causing the accumulated channel capacity cost values of each sections to be compared before establishing a route. To verify the performance of LQA-AODV, NS2.35 was utilized and the Link-Quality Model was applied in order to reflect the tactical wireless environment. The simulation compares and analyzes LQA-AODV and the existing AODV, showing a large improvement over the traditional AODV in regards to the Packet Delivery Ratio, and End-to-End Delay.
In ad hoc networks, the link survivability is firstly considered if a routing between two mobile nodes takes place through wireless environments, because all of mobile nodes participating in a connection dynamically move to anywhere. Also, mobile nodes have multi-role to implement a communication without a static system supported by wired networks. Hence, it is difficult that all mobile nodes continuously provide a reliable connection when the nodes operate each role for the connection. Therefore, it is desired to maximize the lifetime of a route as long as possible for the reliable communication. In this paper, we propose a proactive link management scheme that can provide the continuous route supported by the link handover. It consider the wireless link quality and the power lifetime of a node so that the link handover is implemented for the link survivability without disconnecting the route on the communication.
Because the quality of a radio link in real environment is generally varied with time, there is a difference between the delay in the real environment and one obtained from the analytic model where a time-varying link model is not used as a link model for a Bluetooth. This paper analyzes the transmission delay of a message in the time-varying radio link model for the Bluetooth. The time-varying radio link is modeled with a two-state Markov model. The mean transmission delay of the message is analytically obtained in terms of the arrival rate of the message, the state transition probability in the Markov model, and the packet error rate.

Routers determine routing path considering network topology and link state information for providing QoS (quality of service) guarantee. Therefore, it is important that routers know link state information to calculate routing path. However, if routers generate link state update messages inordinately, their router performance are reduced due to the process of link state update messages. On the other side, in case that link state information is not updated appropriately, route setup requests can be rejected even though there exist routes. In this paper, we propose an algorithm to improve router performance and evaluate the proposed algorithm performance compare with conventional algorithm by simulations.

In Microwave Radio Link, it is necessary to consider the radio fading to consistently assure the radio link of the high quality as the distance. If the fixed modulation is used for the microwave radio link, it is difficult to keep the high availability of link for the case of the long distance. Adaptive Modulation(AM) provide good quality on microwave link, but the application of the only-AM is not enough to provide the availability assurance due to the fluctuating characteristics of link capacity. Our previous study has proposed the improvement method of transmission in association with the distance, however the previous method needed to make up for the common application. There was no suggestion of a mathematical formula with a variable. In this paper, we propose an optimized Adaptive Transmission Techniques with calculating formula of the priority traffic transmission capacity based on AM in consideration of the fade margin for the availability assurance as the distance and the comparison of the channel bandwidth for Long-distance Radio Link.
This paper presents a delay-margin based traffic engineering (TE) approach to provide end-to-end quality of service (QoS) in multi-protocol label switching (MPLS) networks using differentiated services (DiffServ) at the link level. The TE, including delay, class, and route assignments, is formulated as a nonlinear optimization problem reflecting the inter-class and inter-link dependency introduced by DiffServ and end-to-end QoS requirements. Three algorithms are used to provide a solution to the problem: The first two, centralized offline route configuration and link-class delay assignment, operate in the convex areas of the feasible region to consecutively reduce the objective function using a per-link per-class decomposition of the objective function gradient. The third one is a heuristic that promotes/demotes connections at different links in order to deal with concave areas that may be produced by a trunk route usage of more than one class on a given link. Approximations of the three algorithms suitable for on-line distributed TE operation are also derived. Simulation is used to show that proposed approach can increase the number of users while maintaining end-to-end QoS requirements.

This paper presents a control scheme for three-level NPC inverters using small DC-link capacitors. To reduce the inverter system volume, the film capacitor with small capacitance is a promising candidate for the DC-link. When small capacitors are applied in a three level inverter, however, the AC ripple component increases in the DC-link NPV (neutral point voltage). In addition, the three-phase input grid currents are distorted when the DC-link capacitors are fed by diode rectifier. In this paper, the additional circuit is applied to compensate for small capacitor systems defect, and the offset voltage injection method is presented for the stabilization in NPV. These two proposed processes evidently ensure the quality improvement of the input grid currents and output load currents. The feasibility of the proposed method is verified by experimental results.

In this paper we develop a link cost function for data delivery in sensor network. Usually most conventional methods determine the optimal coefficients in the cost function without considering the surrounding environment of the node such as the wireless propagation environment or the topological environment. Due to this reason, there are limitations to improve the quality of data delivery such as data delivery ratio and delay of data delivery. To solve this problem, we derive a new cost function using the concept of Partially Connected Neural Network (PCNN) which is modeled according to the input types whether inputs are correlated or uncorrelated. The correlated inputs are connected to the hidden layer of the PCNN in a coupled fashion but the uncoupled inputs are in an uncoupled fashion. We also propose the training technique for finding an optimal weight vector in the link cost function. The link cost function is trained to the direction that the packet transmission success ratio of each node maximizes. In the experimental section, we show that our method outperforms other conventional methods in terms of the quality of data delivery and the energy efficiency.
A modern industrial society is presently considering not only cultural life but also health promotion to enhance the quality of life. There are many ways to enjoy the wellbeing life. Especially, ice-skating has been focused on as leisure sports with many remarkable advantages. Even though ice-skating was recognized as winter sport, nowadays people enjoyed skating are increased more and more because of indoor ice link. So, construction of indoor ice link has been boomed up. However, The techniques of ice link freezing system are insufficient because the ice link freezing system on the local construction was designed by advanced country techniques. So, this study has been conducted to analyze the air conditioning and refrigeration system in existing local ice link to suggest the design method of ice link.
