Linear Compressor에서 발생하는 마찰에 의한 진동 연구 (Friction-induced Vibration of a Linear Compressor)

  • This paper dealt with friction-induced vibrations in engineering practice, specifically arising at the moment of counterturn of two friction surfaces. The harshness of the vibrations are attributed to the sharp change of the friction coefficients from kinetic to static near zero relative velocity, which is one of the examples of the stick slip. But the experimental results and numerical analysis of piston and cylinder operation showed that transition of the friction coefficient from kinetic to static is insignificant in vibrations. Dry friction itself dominates the harshness of vibrations. This study shows that how dry friction triggers the vibrations and demonstrates the effect of sharp transition from kinetic to static friction coefficient on the vibrations.

멀티 인버터 히트펌프의 동특성 해석 프로그램의 개발 (Development of the Dynamic Simulation Program for the Multi-Inverter Heat Pump Air-Conditioner)

  • A dynamic simulation model was developed to analyse the transient characteristics of a multi-inverter heat pump. The programs included a basic air conditioning system such as a evaporator, condenser, compressor, linear electronic expansion valve (LEV) and by-pass circuit. The theoretical model was derived from mass conservation and energy conservation equations to predict the performance of the multi-inverter heat pump at various operating conditions. Calculated results were compared with the values obtained from the experiments at different operation frequencies of compressor, area of the LEV and configuration of indoor units operation. The results of the simulation model showed a good agreement with the experimental ones, so that the model could be used as an efficient tool for thermodynamic design and control factor design of air-conditioners.

  • Reynolds averaged Wavier-Stokes simulations based on the Reynolds stress model was performed to investigated the effect of inlet flow angle on the distributions of the Reynolds stress tensor inside tip leakage vortex of a linear compressor cascade. Two different inlet flow angles ${\beta}=29.3^{\circ}$(design condition) and $36.5^{\circ}$(off-design condition) were considered. Stress tensor analysis, which transforms the Reynolds stress into the principal direction, was applied to show an anisotropy of the normal stresses. Whereas the anisotropy was highest in the region where the tip leakage vortex collides the suction side of the blade and tip leakage flow enters between blade tip of the pressure side and the endwall, it had the lowest value at the center of tip leakage vortex. It was also found that the magnitude of maximum shear stress at design condition was greater than that of off-design condition.

멀티에어컨의 성능해석 프로그램 개발 (Development of Simulation Program for Multi-Air conditioner)

  • In this study, theoretical simulation method for the steady state characteristics of a refrigeration cycle which consists of one condenser and multi-evaporator (Multi-air conditioner) is presented. The simulation was performed for a typical multi-air conditioning system consisted one outdoor unit with air-cooled condenser, compressor, linear electric expansion valve and bypass circuit and connected three-evaporators (three indoor units). The simulation results are good agreement with those of experiments within 5 $\sim$ 10% at the given system operation conditions which are condensing pressure, evaporating pressure, sub-cooled degree of condenser, superheated degree, discharge temperature of compressor and pulse of linear electric expansion valve.

터보프롭 엔진의 최적 계측 변수 선정을 위한 비선형 GPA 기법에 관한 연구 (A Study on Nonlinear GPA for Optimal Measurement Parameter Selection of Turboprop Engine)

  • 터보프롭 엔진의 성능진단을 위한 선형 GPA(Gas Path Analysis) 및 비선형 GPA 프로그램을 개발하고 최적 계측 변수 선정을 위한 해석을 수행하였다. 엔진의 손상은 압축기 오염과 압축기 터빈 및 동력터빈의 부식이 동시에 발생하는 경우를 가정하였다. 먼저 비선형 GPA에서 반복기법에 대한 영향을 알아보기 위해 독립변수의 저하량을 등간격으로 나누어 반복 해석한 경우와 Newton-Raphson법을 이용하여 해석한 경우를 선형 GPA 해석 결과와 비교하였다. 해석 결과 비선형 GPA의 성능은 반복기법에 의해 많은 영향을 받음을 알 수 있었다. 다음 계측변수 수에 대한 영향을 알아보기 위해 계측변수를 6개, 8개, 10개로 달리하여 각각 선형 GPA 기법과 비선형 GPA 기법을 이용하여 해석을 수행한 후 RMS 오차를 비교하였다. 해석 결과 계측변수가 많으면 보다 정확한 진단 결과를 얻을 수 있으나 계측변수를 잘 선정한다면 보다 적은 계측변수로도 신뢰성 있는 결과를 얻을 수 있음을 확인하였다. 또한 비선형 GPA 기법을 이용한 경우의 RMS 오차가 선형 GPA 기법을 이용한 경우보다 적어 비선형 GPA 기법의 유용성을 알 수 있었다.

  • Design optimization of a transonic compressor rotor (NASA rotor 37) using response surface method and three-dimensional Navier-Stokes analysis has been carried out in this work. Baldwin-Lomax turbulence model was used in the flow analysis. Three design variables were selected to optimize the stacking line of the blade. Data points for response evaluations were selected by D-optimal design, and linear programming method was used for the optimization on the response surface. As a main result of the optimization, adiabatic efficiency was successfully improved. It is also found that the design process provides reliable design of a turbomachinery blade with reasonable computing time.

  • Design optimization of a transonic compressor rotor (NASA rotor 37) using response surface method and three-dimensional Navier-Stokes analysis has been carried out in this work. Two design variables were selected to optimize the stacking line of the blade, and mass flow was used as a design variable, as well, to obtain new design point at peak efficiency. Data points for response evaluations were selected by D-optimal design, and linear programming method was used for the optimization on the response surface. As a main result of the optimization, adiabatic efficiency was successfully improved, and new design mass flow that is appropriate to an improved blade was obtained. Also, it is found that the design process provides reliable design of a turbomachinery blade with reasonable computing time.
