리니어엔진을 이용한 파워팩의 운전조건에 따른 발전출력에 관한 연구 (A Study for Generating Power on Operating Parameters of Powerpack utilizng Linear Engine)

  • The research shows the experiment results according to the combustion characteristics and configuration of the linear generator of powerpack for the generating power applying the 2-stroke compact linear engine. The powerpack used in this paper consists of 2-stroke linear engine, linear generator and air compressor parts. For identifying the combustion characteristics and generating power of linear engine, some parameters were varied sucha as electric load, fuel input calorie, spark timing delay and equivalence ratio. Also generating power was confirmed at each operation conditions, when the air gap length of linear generator part was changed as each 1.0 mm and 2.0 mm. During the all operations, intake air was inputted under the wide open throttle. Mass flow rate of air and fuel was changed using mass flow controller, after these were premixed by premixture device, and then premixed gas was supplied directly into each cylinder. As a result, piston frequency and combustion characteristics were different at each conditions according to parameters affecting the combustion such as fuel input calorie, resistive load, spark timing delay and equivalence ratio. Consequently, these had an effect on generating power.

  • 현재 국내에서 개발되어왔던 중형항공기 후보엔진인 터보팬 엔진의 성능해석과 성능최적화를 위한 제어기법을 연구하였다. 선행된 연구에서 동적모사 및 실시간 선형모사를 수행한 결과 지상 정지조건 하에서 70% 엔진로터 회전수에서 100% 엔진로터 회전수로 급상승하는 경우 고압터어빈 입구온도에서 오버슈트가 발생하여 제한온도인 3105 $^{\cire}R$ 을 넘어감을 확인할 수 있었다 또한 압축기의 서지여유도 협소하여 엔진에 손상을 가져올 수 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 보다 빠른 가속성능과 함께 엔진 성능의 최적화를 위해 LQR 제어기를 설계하였다. 제어기의 설계를 위해서는 선형모델을 구성해야하며 엔진의 비선형 거동에 보다 근접한 선형화를 위해서는 실시간 선형모사가 요구된다. 선형모델에 필요한 행렬은 자동점에 %의 섭동을 주어 5% 간격으로 구하였으며, 최소자승법을 이용하여 저압 엔진로터 회전수의 함수로 보간하는 방법으로 실시간 선형모사를 수행하였다. 제어변수는 연료유량의 증가속도와 압축기 블리드 공기유량으로 하였으며, 제어 결과 고압 터빈입구온도의 오버슈트를 제거하였으며 최대 압축기 서지여유도 0.55 이하로 확보였다. 비연료소모율도 0.353에서 0.43으로 안정됨을 확인할 수 있었다.

77K Inertance tube 맥동관 극저온 냉동기에 관한 연구 (An Experimental Study for the 77K Inertance Tube Pulse Tube Cryocooler)

  • The experimental results of the 17K inertance tube pulse tube cryocooler for cooling cryosensors are presented in this paper. In prototype experiments, linear compressor is driven by linear motor, and inertance tubes are inserted between one liter reservoir and pulse tube. Design of the inertance tube pulse tube cryo-cooler is conducted by ARCOPTR program of NASA Ames Research Center. To find optimal conditions of inertance tube pulse tube cryocooler, no load temperature and refrigeration capacity according to the variations of inertance tube volume, reservoir volume and charging pressure are measured. and the cool down and load characteristics at the particular conditions are presented. As the representative results, no load temperature of the cold end is 52.7K and refrigeration capacity is 5W at 72K..

공기스프링 현가장치 성능해석 (Analysis of rear suspension using airspring)

  • This paper presents a method for evaluating the performance of a leaf spring suspension and an air spring suspension systems for trucks in terms of ride and handling. Leaf springs, which generally have non-linear progressive force-deflection characteristics, are modeled using beam and contact elements. The leaf spring analysis model shows good correlation with experimental results. Each component of an air spring suspension system, which is a single leaf, air spring, height control valve, compressor and linkages, is modeled appropriately. Non-linear characteristics of air spring are accounted for using the measured data, and pressure and volume relations for height control system is also considered. The wheel rate of the air suspension is taken lower but roll stiffness is taken higher than those of leaf springs to improve ride and handling performance, which is verified through driving simulations.

  • A free piston and free displacer(FPFD) Stirling cryocooler for cooling infrared and cryo-sensors is currently under development at KIMM(Korea Institute of Machinery & Materials). A Stirling cryocooler is relatively compact, reliable, commercially available, and uses helium as a working fluid. The FPFD stirling cryocooler consists of two compressor pistons driven by linear motors which makes pressure waves and a pneumatically driven displacer piston with regenerator. The FPFD Stirling cryocooler employs 1) the Stirling cycle for refrigeration, 2) linear for driving the cryocooler, 3) spring and gas support systems, and 4) fine gap for clearance seals. It is the most suitable design for a mechanical cryocooler utilized in night vision environment. In order to get optimum operating frequency, natural frequency of piston and displacer, optimum phase angle between piston and displacer, cooling capacity, performance tests of the Stirling cryocooler by the frequency characteristics were performed.

  • This paper presents the dynamic analysis of a reciprocating actuation system based on moving magnet actuator for gas compression. For the analysis of the linear actuator, an axisymmetric finite element method (FEM) considering the saturation effect of the magnetic material is used, and electrical circuit equation, mechanical dynamic equation and pressure dynamics are coupled. In the FE analysis, we adopt a moving line technique. The pressure dynamics of the gas in the compressor is modeled by using the law of thermodynamics. The analysis results are compared fairly well with experimental ones.

  • This Paper deals with the design of Moving Magnet type Linear Oscillatory Actuator(MM-LOA) using spring damper based on the design procedure and the characteristic analysis. MM-LOA is applied to variable load such as vaccum pump and compressor, The structure of piston type is selected to reduce a noise. MM-LOA has over-displacement in starting state because of the low inertia of mover To improve the starting characteristic, spring damper is used. The optimum spring constant of spring damper is detected and in consideration of spring damper, MM-LOA redesigned. The parameter is calculated by Finite Element Method(FEM). For the dynamic characteristic analysis, time differential method composed of voltage and kinetic equation is used. The propriety of the improved model is verified through the experimental results.

  • 적외선 센서를 사용하는 최신 관측용 장비들을 저온으로 유지하기 위해서는 극저온 컴프레서를 센서에 연결한다. 그러나 컴프레서 진동원으로부터 발생한 외란 힘에 의해 취득 영상 품질이 저하된다. 따라서 고품질의 영상을 얻기 위해 극저온 쿨러에 대한 진동 절연 설계가 필요하다. 본 논문은 수동 진동 절연 방법의 장점을 사용하면서 컴프레서 외란 진동에 대한 높은 절연 성능이 있는 시스템을 연구 및 설계하는 것이다. 수동 진동 흡수기는 컴프레서의 구동 주파수를 고려하여 설계했다. 또한, 특정 외란 진동과 고주파수의 진동도 절연되는 쿨러 절연 브래킷을 설계하였고, 성능 분석을 위한 실험을 수행하였다.

Numerical simulation of the unsteady flowfield in complete propulsion systems

  • A non-linear numerical simulation technique for predicting the unsteady performances of an airbreathing engine is developed. The study focuses on the simulation of integrated propulsion systems, where a closer coupling is needed between the airframe and the engine dynamics. In fact, the solution of the fully unsteady flow governing equations, rather than a lumped volume gas dynamics discretization, is essential for modeling the coupling between aero-servoelastic modes and engine dynamics in highly integrated propulsion systems. This consideration holds for any propulsion system when a full separation between the fluid dynamic time-scale and engine transient cannot be appreciated, as in the case of flow instabilities (e.g., rotating stall, surge, inlet unstart), or in case of sudden external perturbations (e.g., gas ingestion). Simulations of the coupling between external and internal flow are performed. The flow around the nacelle and inside the engine ducts (i.e., air intakes, nozzles) is solved by CFD computations, whereas the flow evolution through compressor and turbine bladings is simulated by actuator disks. Shaft work balance and rotor dynamics are deduced from the estimated torque on each turbine/compressor blade row.

  • 본 논문에서는 리니어 컴프레서 위치센서리스 스트로크 제어기의 성능 향상을 위해 모터 매개변수 추정 시스템을 구현하였다. 리니어 컴프레서가 적용된 냉장고나 에어컨의 냉각능력을 제어하기 위해서는 단위시간동안 피스톤의 움직인 거리, 즉 피스톤의 속도를 제어해야 하는데 이때 리니어 모터의 주파수나 스트로크를 조정함으로써 가능하다. 이때, 주파수를 고정하고 스트로크를 변화시키는 것이 일반적이다. 스트로크, 즉 피스톤의 행정거리를 정확하게 추정하는 것이 리니어 컴프레서의 동특성을 좌우하는데, 본 연구에서는 모터 매개변수를 추정하는 경우와 상수로 놓았을 경우에 대해 필요한 메모리 공간과 스트로크 오차에 대한 실험 결과를 통해 그 장단점을 확인하였다.
