AMC를 이용한 송전용량 증대용 전선 개발 모델 특성 분석 (Charateristics Analysis of development Model for Increased Ampacity Conductor using AMC)

  • In case the overload of an existing power line is expected as the consumption of electric power increase, we substitute STACIR/AW which has better thermal characteristic for ACSR. That can approximately double the transmission capacity. In that case the mechanical characteristics of STACIR/AW should meet the design condition of the existing tower. However, the strength of invar in STACIR/AW is lower than that of steel in ACSR, which makes it difficult to keep the safety of a conductor specially in a long span In this regard, this paper presents the new conductor model using the AMC and the analysis of its characteristics.

  • This paper describes the optimal reconfiguration of distribution network. The optimal routing of distribution network should provide electricity to customers with quality, and this paper shows that optimal routing of distribution network can be obtained by Neural-Tabu algorithm while keeping constraints such as line power capacity, voltage drop and reliability indices. The Neural-Tabu algorithm is a Tabu algorithm combined with Neural network to find neighborhood solutions. This paper shows that not only the loss cost but also the reliability cost should be considered in distribution network reconfiguration to achieve the optimal routing.

  • The purpose of development is to localize a connector for connection of cable and GIS for underground transmission system. The cable connector for GIS provides electrical insulation of GIS housing part and makes connection of ultra high voltage electrical apparatus and power cable by controlling electrical stress between electrodes of power cable termination. Generally Korean switchgear makers are using a connector for GIS made by foreign companies. We manufactured sample by best structure design of great capacity conductor connecting part and then modified the design by analysis of shape and section. We completed the suitable sample for current cycling test condition of conductor connecting part sample and ensured surge characteristics of line by short-time current test.

  • According to previous report, aged sleeves for old transmission lines have various defect such as biased installation or corrosion of steel sleeve. These defects occupied almost 50 percent of investigated aged sleeves. The defects have been limited power capacity of transmission line. And it can cause serious problems such as rapid increasing of sag or falling out of overhead conductor from sleeve. This paper study on thermal behavior of sleeve with various defect model. The detailed results were presented in the text.

  • PRT(Personal Rapid Transit) systems requires very short headways to increase the line capacity and a very reliable vehicle control algorithm for avoidance of the impact between vehicles. In this paper a brake curves (or speed patterns) for PRT system that make it possible the effective vehicle control and a collision avoidance algorithm are introduced. For the simulations and the evaluations of the proposed algorithm a combined simulation platform that consists of Labview Simulation Interface Toolkit and Matlab/Simulink and a specific hardware configuration are employed.

  • Mammalian mediator (MED) is a multi-protein coactivator that has been identified by several research goups. The involvement of the MED complex subunit 19 (MED 19) in the metastasis of lung adenocarcinoma cell line (H1299), which expresses the MED 19 subunit, was here investigated. When MED 19 expression was decreased by RNA interference H1299 cells demonstrated reduced clone formation, arrest in the S phase of the cell cycle, and lowered metastatic capacity. Thus, MED 19 appears to play important roles in the biological behavior of non-small cell lung carcinoma cells. These findings may be important for the development of novel lung carcinoma treatments.

  • Since Seoulmetro built the first line of electric railway at seoul 1974, the passengers of railway have been increased rapidly, and electric railway requires more electric power for the greater capacity of transport. It is important that we prevent the accidents related with the subway, because all systems of subway are constructed in artificial underground structure. Since the previous versions of the earth system were built to meet the old standards of the electric facility for the lightning, some accidents related with the DC earth fault are causing secondary damages to the electric equipments. So, the old grounding system must be improved, and new standards of grounding system are required. We compare the grounding systems of the domestic railway corporations and the accidents that are related with the grounding systems. And we give ideas to improve the grounding systems and present standards which are suitable to electric railway.

차세대고속열차 본선 시운전 성능평가 방안에 대한 연구 (A Study on Performance Evaluation Plan of Next-Generation High-Speed Prototype Train during Test Run)

  • Korean Train Express (KTX) has been commercially operating and achieving elevation on transport capacity since 2004. And the first hish-speed prototype test train, HSR-350x, was developed and succeeded in testing of running over 350km/h. Now KTX-II based on HSR-350x was started in service run. The new high-speed train development project, HEMU-400x project, has started since 2007. The protype train is being designed and manufactured. After the train are developed completely, it will run on the commercial line and will be test to verify the estimated performance. The authors devised the performance evaluation method and process of the HEMU-400x prototype system. And we introduce the definite performance test items and the method to vitrificate them in this paper.

  • Nine different types of the reinforced railroad roadbeds which . are located in between Suwon-Chunan station of Kyongbu line were constructed in order to increase the bearing capacity of railroad roadbed and to improve the ridability as a part of speed-up project of conventional railroad systems. Each three sections were composed of weathered granite soil, crushed stone and furnace slag(HMS25), and fully instrumented with earth pressure cells, settlement plates and geophones to monitor the behavior of roadbeds under actual train loads. Field measurement has continued since October 31, 2000 and presently with rather longer measurement interval. The measurement data such as settlement, earth pressure and vibration levels are currently under analysis process. In this paper, only cumulative measurement data of railroad roadbeds were introduced. In the near future, comprehensive measurement data and result of analysis will be presented and design technique for the reinforced railroad roadbed will be proposed as a final product of this study.

  • Damage and upset of control and communication equipment due to transient overvoltages which occur due primarily to internal switching surge and external lightning surge are an important problems in electromagnetic compatibility(EMC). In this paper, we analyzed operation characteristic of metal oxide varistor widely used low voltage AC line using the electromagnetic transients program(EMTP) and compare it with experimental results and also, we modeled combination generator producing $1.2/50{\mu}s$ open circuit voltage and $8/20{\mu}s$ short circuit current as a source which is critical in calculating operation characteristic. Simulation results showed that most of Transient energy consumes at MOV located in service entrance side than load side, and it showed similar to experimental results. Therefore, entrance side MOV should be selected more energy capacity than that of load side MOV.
