품질개선 및 혁신활동에서 재무성과 측정모형의 개발 (Development of Financial Effect Measurement(FEM) Models for Quality Improvement and Innovation Activity)

  • This research introduces the Financial Effect Measurement (FEM) models which measures both the improvement and the innovation performance of Quality Control Circle (QCC) and activities of Six Sigma. Concepts and principle of Comprehensive Income Statement (CIS), Balanced Scorecard (BSC), Time-Driven Activity Based-Costing (TDABC) and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) are applied in order to develop the 4 FEM models presented in this paper. First of all, FEM using CIS depicts the improvement effects of production capacity and yield using relationships between demand and supply, and line balancing efficiency between bottleneck process and non-bottleneck processes. Secondly, cause-and-effect relation of Key Performance Indicator (KPI) is used to present Critical Success Factor (CSF) effects for QC Story 15 steps of QCC and DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control) of Six Sigma. The next is FEM model for service management innovation activities that uses TDABC to calculate the time-driven effect for improving the indirect activities according to the cost object. Lastly, FEM model for TPM activities presents the interpretation of improvement effect model of TPM Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) and Operating Expenditure (OPEX) maintenance using profit, cash and Economic Added Value (EVA) as metrics of enterprise values. To better understand and further investigate FEMs, recent cases on National Quality Circle Contest are used to evaluate new financial effect measurement developed in this paper.

세립 사질토 지반에 설치된 석션 앵커의 수평 지지력 (Capacity of Horizontally Loaded Suction Anchor Installed in Silty Sand)

  • A suction anchor is one of the most popular anchors for deepsea floating systems. An anchor used for catenary mooring is predominantly under a horizontal load. In this study, the behavior of a suction anchor installed in cohesionless soil was investigated when the anchor was mainly subjected to a horizontal load induced by a catenary line. In order to study the behavior of the suction anchor, 3D FEM analysis models were developed and analyzed. Depending on the location of the load (padeye), the ultimate horizontal load was monitored. The distributions of the reaction forces around the anchor induced by the seabed were analyzed using the circumferential stress to understand the behavior of the suction anchor under a horizontal load.

  • With the historical opening of the express rail, Korea has joined the league of France, Japan, Germany and Spain and entered into the super high-speed train era. Opening of the express rail will not only bring about enormous changes to the lives of Koreans, but it will also have a huge influence on the economic, social and cultural aspects of the country. With construction of the Seoul - Busan KTX line, railway passenger transportation capacity and freight transportation capacity will increase. Fast, safe, convenient and environmentally friendly, the express rail is a product of the latest technology and will secure its position as the newest and most preferred method of transportation for the next generation. As the traffic noise, train noise from KTX will become a social problems with the acceleration of speed and increase in the lines. In order to predict the train noise propagation from KTX, this paper presents the sound source system, the calculation model and the scale model experiment. Noise level unit patterns of a KTX that take the rolling noise, the motor noise and aerodynamic noise into consideration are simulated by the scale model experiment and numerical analysis.

풍력타워용 부스덕트 포설시스템 개발 (Development of the Bus Duct Installation System for Wind Tower)

  • A bus duct system for wind tower is introduced. A marine cable has been widely used in wind tower or various offshore structures. However, as the electric load capacity is increases, large number of cable lines must be used to cover the huge amount of electric capacities. Therefore, the installation of the cable lines becomes very difficult due to the heavy weight and volume of the cables. On the other hand, by using a single bus duct system line, the power capacity amount of 16 cables can be delivered with significantly compacted form. However, unlike flexible cables, the bus duct is relatively stiff which could generate the resonance phenomenon in the operating condition of the wind tower. In this study, the vibration characteristics of the bus duct are investigated and its long-term reliability during the life time of the wind tower is verified.

분산전원의 계통 연계에 따른 모선 보호용 과전류 계전기 설정치 정정에 대한 고찰 (An Investigation on Correction of Overcurrent Protective Relaying Set Value for Bus Interconnected with Distributed Generations)

  • This paper describes the effect of distributed generations (DG) on the bus protection scheme. When the generating capacity of DG is larger than 3 MVA totally, DG are generally connected to the 22.9 kV bus directly with the dedicated line. Due to the fault current contribution of DG, the overcurrent protective relay that have conventional set value cannot detect the fault occurred in distribution power network with DG. Therefore. the impacts from interconnection of DG on the overcurrent protective relay for bus protection should be accurately assessed and mitigated. Simulation results show that it would be necessary to modify the overcurrent protective relay set value for protecting the bus according to the generating capacity of DG.

Comparison of Soil Physical Properties in Conventional and Organic Farming Apple Orchards

  • Soil physical properties in organic farming apple orchard were evaluated in relation to conventional farming to better understand the effects of organic farming system on soil quality. Two adjacent apple orchards, matched by soil type, were chosen to ensure the same pedological conditions except management system. Soil samples were collected from middle of two adjacent trees along the tree line at two depths of 5-20 and 20-35 cm in September 2006. Contents of organic matter in organic farming soil were twice as much as those found in soil of conventional farming. The higher level of organic matter in organic farming soil was reflected through a consequent trend in improved soil physical properties. Organic farming produced greater aggregation in >2 mm size and increased aggregate stability. Bulk density was lower by 13% and hence porosity was higher in soils of organic farming as compared with conventional farming. Water holding capacity was significantly greater with organic farming by >17% over conventional farming. The capacity of organic farming to improve soil physical properties can be contributed to the regular application of relatively large amount of organic materials and the sustainable ground-cover managements, mulching with compost and cover crop cultivation.

풍력발전시스템이 연계된 계통의 임계 제거시간에 미치는 요인 (Factors Influencing Critical Clearing Time in Network Connected to Wind Generation System)

  • 상업용으로 계통에 연계되어 운전되는 대부분의 풍력발전기는 유도발전기가 주로 사용되고 있으며 동기발전기와 다른 양상을 보이고 있어 계통에서의 사고발생 후 정상상태로 복귀할 수 있는 최대의 시간(임계 제거시간)을 이용하여 과도상태를 해석하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 풍력 발전시스템이 연계된 계통에 대해 임계 제거시간에 미치는 요인을 분석하였으며 계통해석 프로그램인 Digsilent Power Factory를 이용하였다. 임계 제거시간에 미치는 요인으로는 연계되는 계통의 단락용량(단락전류). 풍력발전 용량, 풍력발전기 역률, 풍력 발전시스템과 연계되는 계통사이의 전용선 길이, 부하 용량이나 역률 등이 있으며 이들의 변화에 대한 임계 제거시간의 영향을 분석하였다.

기계적 접점을 이용한 FCL의 동작 특성 (Operational Characteristics of the FCL Using the Mechanical Contact in the Power System)

  • These days, SFCLs are being developed in order to limit fault current. However, the superconducting elements that limit the fault current have such problems as capacity increase and require auxiliary devices including cooling device. If devices that comprise the current power network can withstand fault current for at least one cycle, it is possible to limit the fault current with current limiting elements by bypassing it on the fault line. In this study, the fault current limiter was configured with current transformer, vacuum interrupter, and current limiting element. Through the experience, it was confirmed that the fault current was limited within one cycle. The superconducting element, as a current limiting element, limited the fault current by 80 % within one cycle from fault occurrence, and the passive element limited it more than 95 %. Also, through the comparison between resistance curve and power consumption curve, it was confirmed that the current limiting element using a passive element was more stable than the superconducting element that required capacity increase and other auxiliary devices. It was considered that the FCL proposed in this study could limit fault current stably within one cycle from fault occurrence by using the existing power technologies such as fault current detection and solenoid valve operating circuit.

고속열차 투입에 따른 AT급전계통의 부하용량증가에 관한 사례연구 (A case study on the increasing load capacity of AT Feeder system with speed-up train)

  • 전기철도에 있어서 열차의 운행속도향상은 지속적으로 추구해야할 당면한 과제이며, 이를 위해서는 철도시스템 전반에 걸친 검토가 이루어져야 한다. 열차의 고속화는 차량기술 뿐만 아니라, 선로 구축물, 신호시스템, 운영기술, 전차선로, 급전시스템 등이 상호 연계되어 종합적으로 경제성을 고려하여 추진되어야 한다. 특히, 전기철도 급전계통의 경우만 보더라도 고속열차가 기존운영선로에 투입될 경우 차량의 집전성능향상, 전압강하대책, 설비용량대책, 궤도노반, 분기기, 신호의 고속화, 전차선로 구조물 검토 등 여러 가지 기술검토가 반드시 수반되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 이 가운데 AT급전계통에서의 신규의 고속화 열차 투입에 따른 급전계통의 기술검토에 대한 접근방안을 제시하고 실 계통을 대상으로 부하용량 변화의 정도를 예측함으로써, 향후 국내 노선의 전반에 걸쳐 적용 가능함을 입증할 수 있었다.

저궤도 위성용 리튬-이온 배터리의 성능 확보를 위한 Balancing기법에 관한 고찰

  • 인공위성에 사용되는 배터리 기술은 1960년대 최초로 사용된 니켈 카드뮴(NiCd)을 시작으로 발전하기 시작해서 현재는 리튬-이온(Li-Ion)에 이르렀다. 리튬-이온 배터리는 높은 Energy Density(작은 크기와 무게), 낮은 자가 방전율을 가짐과 동시에 메모리 효과가 거의 없다는 장점이 있다. 하지만 리튬-이온 배터리 팩의 성능(Voltage, Capacity, Lifetime)은 사용된 Cell간 특성차이(State of Charge, Total Capacity Difference, Internal Impedance)에 의해 제한된다. 일반적으로 배터리는 원하는 전압과 용량을 확보하기 위해 직렬-병렬 혹은 병렬-직렬 구조를 가지는 팩 형태로 제작 된다. Cell간 특성차이가 존재하는 상태에서 배터리 팩을 사용할 경우 특정 Cell의 과충전 및 과방전이 발생하며 이로 인해 수명이 단축될 수 있고 심한 경우 폭발이 발생할 수 도 있다. 또한 Cell간 특성차이는 배터리팩의 사용가능 용량을 제한하는 효과를 가져 온다. 본 논문에서는 Battery 팩을 구성하는 Cell들에 특성 차이가 존재할 경우 발생할 수 있는 Battery 팩의 수명 단축 및 용량 감소 Mechanism에 대해서 고찰한다. 또한 Cell간 특성차이를 극복하기 위해 실제 위성 운용에 적용될 수 있는 배터리팩의 Balancing 방안과 함께 위성에 장착을 위해 보관중인 4p12s Battery의 Balancing 방안에 대해 고찰하고 Balancing 전후의 Cell간 특성(Voltage Dispersion) 차이 측정결과를 보인다. 이렇게 본 논문에서 소개한 리튬-이온 배터리의 전반적인 Balancing 방안은 추후 인공위성에 적용되는 리튬-이온 배터리의 운용 및 보관에 Guide Line을 제시할 것이라고 판단한다.
