The Ballast Track has been widely applied in traditionally due to low initial cost and abundant elastic property. But the disadvantages of Ballast track are; labor-intensive and costly maintenance, weak in high-speed and heavy axial load, in additionally need wide cross section of tunnel and massive substructure in viaduct. Therefore, recent applications tend to more and more towards slab track such as Gyeungbu high speed rail and existing line. The slab track increased the stability, resistance and durability of track, and save maintenance cost compare to the Ballast Track. But the slab track have weakness of track elongation by sub-ballast differential settlement and that threat safety of train operation. Therefor the slab track need to prevent cracks in concrete ballast for insure the durability of slab track. In this paper, review main items and its expected effects of the slab track maintenance standards that control sub-ballast settlement and concrete ballast cracks.

This paper gives an overview and developing status of the on-board Automatic Train Control (ATC) System employed to control the Urban Maglev vehicle in Korea. In the construction of demonstration line for Urban Maglev Program, the Daewoo Engineering Company (DEC) has participated as a supplier of the whole ATC System since 2009. According to the contract with Korea Rail Network Authority, DEC is under progress for the development of the whole ATC system including Safety Integration Level (SIL) assessment from the ISA, which is followed by the international standards IEC62278, IEC62279, and EN50129. Once the Urban Maglev Program is completed successfully in 2013, the developed system will be the first localized whole ATC system which has SIL assessment and commercial operation experience in Korea.

With the advancement in the area of cloud storage services as well as a tremendous growth of social networking sites, permission for one web service to act on the behalf of another has become increasingly vital as social Internet services such as blogs, photo sharing, and social networks. With this increased cross-site media sharing, there is a upscale of security implications and hence the need to formulate security protocols and considerations. Recently, OAuth, a new protocol for establishing identity management standards across services, is provided as an alternative way to share the user names and passwords, and expose personal information to attacks against on-line data and identities. Moreover, OwnCloud provides an enterprise file synchronizing and sharing that is hosted on user's data center, on user's servers, using user's storage. We propose a secure Social Networking Site (SSN) access based on OAuth implementation by combining two novel concepts of OAuth and OwnCloud. Security analysis and performance evaluation are given to validate the proposed scheme.

We have recently witnessed many of global companies did not successfully adapt themselves to local markets, and finally exited the markets experiencing failures. The purpose of this study is to suggest practical glocalization strategies for global e-service companies to run their respective businesses in local markets with success. Glocalization is a terminology blending globalization and localization, meaning that global companies adapt themselves to local cultures, environment, languages, laws and regulations so as to survive and prosper in those markets while maintaining high quality of standards and processes they originally have for global competitive edge. Examining success stories as well as failure ones of global e-service companies having entered Asian markets, we provide marketing mix strategy for successful glocalization, and suggest some guidelines for prospective e-service companies wishing to enter local markets with different cultures and languages to fit themselves to new environments.

Videos for 360-degree virtual reality (VR) systems have a large amount of data because they are made with several different videos from multiple cameras. To store the VR data in limited space or to transmit it through a channel with limited bandwidth, the data need to be compressed at a high ratio. This paper focuses on the compression efficiency of VR videos for good visual quality. Generally, 360-degree VR videos should be projected into the planer format to cope with modern video coding standards. Among various projection schemes, three typical schemes (equirectangular, line-cubic, and cross-cubic) are selected and compared in terms of compression efficiency and quality using various videos.

Process control is crucial in many industries, especially in semiconductor manufacturing. In such large-volume multistage manufacturing systems, a product has to go through a very large number of processing steps with reentrant) before being completed. This manufacturing system has many machines of different types for processing a high mix of products. Each process step has specific quality standards and most of them have nonlinear dynamics due to physical and/or chemical reactions. Moreover, many of the processing steps suffer from drift or disturbance. To assure high stability and yield, on-line quality monitoring of the wafers is required. In this paper we develop a real-time fault detection system on semiconductor manufacturing process. Proposed system is superior to other incremental fault detection system and shows similar performance compared to batch way.

본 논문에서는 현재 가장 많이 사용되는 조명용 LED광원에 대한 EMI특성을 측정 분석 분석하였다. LED 광원의 자기장 유도전류와 각각의 인입 전원선에 대한 잡음 단자전압 등을 측정 및 분석하였으며, 향후 LED광원 관련 규격 제안시 참고자료로 활용될 것으로 판단된다.

This paper presents the single-stage High Power Factor TSFC(Two-Switch Forward Converter). Recently, due to growing concern about the harmonic pollution of power distribution systems and the adoption of standards such as ICE 61000-3-2 and IEEE 519, There is a need to reduce the harmonic contents of AC line currents of power supplies. This research proposed the single-stage two switch forward circuit for low voltage and high current output. The principle of operation, feature and design considerations are illustrated and verified through the experiment with a 200W(5V, 40A) 200kHz MOSFET based experimental circuit.

Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(OFDM) has meanwhile become part of several telecommunicati ons standards, such as satellite and terrestrial digital audio broadcasting(DAB), digital terrestrial TV broad casting(DVB), asymmetric digital subscriber line(ADSL) for high-bit-rate digital subscriber services on twisted-pair channels, and broadband indoor wireless systems. In his paper, we show that OFDM signals contain sufficient structure to accomplish blind channel estimation using second order statistics only. This method doesn't require redundancy as cp in transmitter. And the result is compared with PSAM channel estimation as least square, linear minimum mean square, singular value decomposition.

The spectroscopic properties of Cr3+-doped sapphire and Ti3+-doped sapphire fibers are reported. Tensile stress produces blue shifts of the R lines and changes in their radiative lifetimes and integrated intensities which can be correlated to stress-induced changes of the crystal-field parameters in a Cr3+-doped sapphire fiber. A net red shift of the zero phonon fluorescence line of 2Eg state and a decrease of the splittings of 2T2g state with uniaxial stress are observed in a Ti3+-doped sapphire. In excitation spectra the two peaks from the 2Eg state are shifted to the blue with different rates. The changes are attributed to the stress-induced changes of crystal field and Jahn-Teller effect.
