A congnitive shape decomposition method that agrees with human intuition is proposed for the conceptual recognition from sillouettes of objects. Descriptions specifying the structure of shape in terms of meaningful parts and relations have cognitive power and anthropomorphism. In general, man-made objects have a lot of collinear lines and regularity. For the cognitive decomposition of man-made objects, many heuristic rules based on the cognitive experimentation are applied on the context of collinerarity and regularity. The cognitive shape decomposition for the natural shape is carried out by analyzing the possible configuraitions of vertices and line segments for one concave vertex. A cost function for the configuation is designed by weighted sum of five criteria such as, the length of split line segment, the number of split line segments at concave vertex, the proximity of concave vertex, and the correspondence of vertices. These criteria are vased on the property of human perception such as proximtiy, symmetry, and simplicity. The most promising vertex os selected among three set of visible vertices by evaluating the cost function. A number of experiments conducted on the different types of shapes shows that the results correspond with human intuition.
The existing visualization methods using the satellite images or map images require complicated preprocessing stages and a large amount of visual data to represent the 3-D terrain. This paper presents a 3-D visualization method for geographical information, which enables automatic generation of 3-D terrain. It is generated based, on contour information obtained from a numerical map. This paper also introduces a method that resolves the three main problems needed to visualize 3-D terrain from contour lines such as correspondence, tiling, and branching. The virtual contour line is defined to extend a distorted contour line to have a similar shape to the corresponding contour line that is used, to generate 3-D surfaces. It helps that 3-D terrain is represented exactly and in detail.
Line special frequency (LSF) parameters have been widely used in low bit-rate speech coding due to their efficiency for representing the short-time speech spectrum. In this paper, a new distance measure based on the masking properties of human ear is proposed for quantizing LSF parameters whereas most conventional quantization methods are based on the weighted Euclidean distance measure. The proposed method derives the perceptual distance measure from the definition of noise-to-mask ratio (NMR) which has high correspondence with the actual distortion received in the human ear and uses it for quantizing LSF parameters. In addition, we propose an adaptive bit allocation scheme, which allocates minimal bits to LSF parameters maintaining the perceptual transparency of given speech frame for reducing the average bit-rates. For the performance evaluation, we has shown the ratio of perceptually transparent frames and the corresponding average bit-rates for the conventional and proposed methods. By jointly combining the proposed distance measure and adaptive bit allocation scheme, the proposed system requires only 770 bps for obtaining 95.5% perceptually transparent frames, while the conventional systems produce 89.9% at even 1800 bps.
Super-giant-embryo mutant line (Hwacheong-ge$^s$) with high nutritional quality was developed from Hwacheongbyeo, a Korean Japonica cultivar. Grain weight of brown rice of Hwacheong-ge$^s$ line was lighter than of Hwacheongbyeo. However, embryo dry weight of the line was 3.22 times heavier than that of Hwacheongbyeo on the single grain base. Hwacheong-ge$^s$ line showed higher protein(8.99%) than the original variety(7.39%), without changes in storage protein. In amino acid composition, lysine content was greatly increased in the mutant, while the contents of methionine, serine and tyrosine were slightly decreased as compared with the original one. Lipid content of Hwacheong-ge$^s$ line was 1.5 times higher compared with that of Hwacheongbyeo. The contents of Vitamin Bl, B2, and E(${\alpha}$-tocopherol) were also greatly increased in Hwacheong-ge$^s$line. The grain yields of the mutant lines ranged from 69.2% to 78.8% compared with that of Hwacheongbyeo, 556kg /10a. Most of the mutant lines of M4 generation were homogeneous for growth characters, and some of them seemed to be readily applicable for farmer's field.

Recently, Basic patterns with excellent body fitness and automation availability are required to be developed in order to automate the patterns of women's clothes. In this study, this reference points, reference lines and segments were fixed onto 3D scan data for the lower body the women in their twenties, they were directly spread out to be 2D flat pattern to facilitate development into the design of slacks adhered closely to the human body such as special and highly-functional clothes, and then slacks 2D pattern was developed for the purpose of seeking scientific approach to the development into basic form slacks and 3d emotional pattern. For conversion of 3D pattern into 2D flat pattern, reference points and segments were created by using Rapid Form of 3D shape analysis software, and triangle mesh of the body surface of the created shape was developed with Auto CAD 2005. The correspondence between slacks and human body was examined by the fixation of major reference lines. Specially, the wearing characteristics of slacks were considered by the fixation of side lines in consideration of posture. As a result of using the way of development to constantly maintain the length while 3D triangle mesh is converted into 2D flat mesh, the shape was shown to be excellently reproduced, and the area of flat pattern was increased compared to the shape of parting plane. Also, the sunk-in curve like the brief line of front crotch length needed a cutting line when it was closely adhered, when mesh was overlapped, and the pattern area was smaller compared to the actual shape.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the images and characteristic formative elements of Korean traditional patterns. The Korean pattern image could be interpreted into visual elements of design based on the images, the characteristic formative elements of Korean traditional patterns, and their relationships. Fourteen patterns selected from 5 groups of Korean patterns were used as stimuli. An image evaluation using a 2-point sementica scale of 19 bipolar adjectives, and an impression evaluation of which results were presented by visual drawing using lines and shapes were carried out. The data were analyzed by correspondence analysis and cluster analysis. The major findings are as follows; 1. Fourteen patterns and 19 adjectives were marked on a perception map composed of two (x and y-) axes. The bipoles of x- and y axes were soft-hard and splendid-artless, respectively. 2. Four clusters semerged to account for the dimensional sturucture of 14 patterns and 19 adjectives. These were splendid image, soft image, individualistic image, and sophisticated image. However there was no pattern which belonged to the cluster, sophisticated image. The Korean pattern image was founded to be better related to the kind of patterns than the type of patterns. 3. The characteristic formative elements obtained from the impression test were contour of motif, repeated line or shape, various curved lines, and decorative elements. 4. The splendid image was related to Bongwhang patterns and detailed line and complexity. The individualistic image was related to the abstractive form of Bongwhang pattern and the decorative form of Cloud pattern both of which have the characteristics of point-symmetry and abstraction, and Turtle-back pattern. In this case, the related charac-teristic formative element was identified to be repeated lines. The soft image was related to Moran, Cloud, and Taegeuk patterns. The related characteristic elements were various types of curved lines, decorative elements, and rounded contours.
Ubiquitous is an agriculture revolution, the Industrial Revolution, the fourth revolution to equal an information revolution are Ubiquitous. Historic agriculture was revolutionary, but the Industrial Revolution was a revolution of the physics space that was a base of a mankind civilization, and the informatization revolution that Cyber Space saw a prime while world wide web service was expended was a revolution of cyber space. Be charmed with this, and, as for the Ubiquitous revolution, it is achieved a physics space and an intelligent union of cyber space in the space where an off-line space was integrated with compunction on-line. It is combined with a life space naturally, and Ubiquitous technology. Also, I presented the plan that derivation tried a problem about Ubiquitous, and can solve an each problem. Specially, infringement about personal privacy very has a lot of possession to occur in the world that radio communication between all appliances is possible. It is Ubiquitous by becoming the data which is useful to thorough preparation about the Ubiquitous world to come with presenting policy a little technical solution plan about this to the future Republic of Korea. many company has been cracked by crackers information security and everyday new computer virus come out.
In the power ultrasound fields, the flange position for fixing the transducer is an important factor influencing on electro-mechanical efficiency of the transducer. We suggested a practical method that can determine the installation position of the flange for different resonance modes of the bolt-clamped type Langevin ultrasonic transducer. A semicircular wedge-shaped jig was manufactured and moved along the lateral surface of the transducer. The vibration characteristics were examined after a constant pressure was applied to the semicircular wedge-shaped jig. By observing the change of the input admittance of the transducer depending on the position of the pressure application, the optimum position for the flange installation could be determined. The resonant modes of the transducer were calculated by a Mason's equivalent circuit, and the particle velocity distribution for each resonance mode was calculated by a transmission line model. Since the optimum positions determined from an experimental result show a good correspondence with the node positions of the vibration modes calculated by the transmission line model, the validity of the suggested method was verified.
Objective: The first stage in both breeding and programs for the conservation of genetic resources are the identification of genetic diversity in the relevant population. The aim of the present study is to identify genetic diversity of six brown layer pure chicken lines (Rhode Island Red [RIRI, RIRII], Barred Rock [BARI, BARII], Columbian Rock [COL], and line 54 [L-54]) with microsatellite markers. Furthermore, the study aims to employ its findings to discuss the possibilities for the conservation and sustainable use of these lines that have been bred as closed populations for a long time. Methods: In the present study, a total number of 180 samples belonging to RIRI (n = 30), RIRII (n = 30), BARI (n = 30), BARII (n = 30), L-54 (n = 30), and COL (n = 30) lines were genotyped using 22 microsatellite loci. Microsatellite markers are extremely useful tools in the identification of genetic diversity since they are distributed throughout the eukaryotic genome in multitudes, demonstrate co-dominant inheritance and they feature a high rate of polymorphism and repeatability. Results: In this study, we found all loci to be polymorphic and identified the average number of alleles per locus to be in the range between 4.41 (BARI) and 5.45 (RIRI); the observed heterozygosity to be in the range between 0.31 (RIRII) and 0.50 (BARII); and $F_{IS}$ (inbreeding coefficient) values in the range between 0.16 (L-54) and 0.46 (RIRII). The $F_{IS}$ values obtained in this context points out to a deviation from Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium due to heterozygote deficiency in six different populations. The Neighbour-Joining tree, Factorial Correspondence Analysis and STRUCTURE clustering analyzes showed that six brown layer lines were separated according to their genetic origins. Conclusion: The results obtained from the study indicate a medium level of genetic diversity, high level inbreeding in chicken lines and high level genetic differentiation between chicken lines.

As most the scanning systems developed until now provide radiation scan plane images of the inspected objects, there has been a limitation in judging exactly the shape of the objects inside a logistics container exactly with only 2-D radiation image information. Two 2-dimensional radiation images which have different disparity values are acquired from a newly designed stereo image acquisition system which has one additional line sensor to the conventional system. Using a matching algorithm the 3D reconstruction process which find the correspondence between the images is progressed. In this paper, we proposed a new volume based 3D reconstruction algorithm and experimental results show the proposed new volume based reconstruction technique can provide more efficient visualization for cargo inspection. The proposed technique can be used for the development of the high speed and more efficient non-destructive auto inspection system.
