배전계통에서 낙뢰보호용 피뢰기의 접지저항 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Grounding Resistance Effects of Lightning Arrester for Lightning Stroke Protection in Electric Distribution Systems)

  • 낙뢰는 구름이 가진 높은 전압이 대지로 방출되는 현상이다. 낙뢰 보호 접지는 낙뢰로부터 건물, 배전선로와 전기설비를 보호하는 중요한 역할을 한다. 기기 접지는 제한된 중성점 전위상승을 위한 목적으로 한다. 기기 접지는 제한된 중성점 전위상승을 위한 목적으로 한다. 본 논문에서는 낙뢰가 배전선로에 급습했을 때 중성점 전위와 피뢰기의 제한 전압을 분석하여 피뢰기 접지저항의 영향을 심도 있게 조사하였다. 사례연구는 EDSA 프로그램으로 수치와 그래프로 시뮬레이션하였다.

  • This paper analyses the lightning overvoltage with earth of grounding wire and installation types of arresters in double circuits distribution systems. First, the model for analysis is selected severer case between upper line and lower line when the direct lightning surge strikes on the overhead grounding wire. The lightning overvoltage is variously calculated with earth distance between overhead grounding wires. This paper also analyses the effect of the installation distance between arrestors and the earth resistance of overhead grounding wire. From these results, authors examine the rationality of BIL that is applied in distribution system.

  • This paper describes the lightning overvoltage occurred differently according to installation methods of arresters and overhead grounding wire in case of double circuits distribution systems. First, the analysis models are established considering the severe case between upper and lower distribution line, when the direct lightning surge strikes to the overhead grounding wire. The lightning overvoltage is variously analyzed with the change of grounding interval and resistance, arrester installation interval as well as the magnitude of surge using EMTP. After simulation results are compared with the BIL which is now used at field, the authors propose the methods for suitable shielding in domestic distribution systems.

  • It is anticipated that AC distribution system can be replaced by DC distribution system in the near future because of the operation of various distributed source or microgrid system. However DC distribution system replacing 22.9kV AC distribution line is not sufficiently studied still. This paper describes lightning overvoltage analysis among many research fields should be studied to realize DC overhead distribution systems. DC distribution system is modeled using EMTP and overvoltage is analyzed according to interval of arrestor location, earth interval of overhead grounding wire and grounding resistance. It is evaluated that analysis results can be effectively used to design of future DC distribution system.

  • The effects of surge arresters for protection of transmission systems against direct lightning strokes have already been investigated using the digital simulation program EMTP. Distribution lines are spanned on a much large area as compared to transmission lines, and therefore, are more often susceptible to lightning strokes. This paper analyzes the overvoltages on underground cable system against direct lightning strokes to the overhead ground wire using the digital simulation. The effects of lightning protection methods, such as lowering the grounding resistance and installing the surge arrester, for preventing overvoltages on underground cable system caused by direct lightning strokes to the overhead ground wire is investigated. Several schemes have been proposed to protect underground cables. This paper summarizes the main results of a study aimed at analysis of lightning overvoltages in variety underground feeders protected by metal-oxide arresters. This study will provide insulation coordination methods for reasonable system design in 22.9kV underground cable system.

  • This paper analyzes the flashover rate by lightning in Korea distribution system. Because of random characteristics of lightning, the Monte Carlo method is applied to estimate the lightning performance. The magnitude of lightning stroke is based on the curve measured in field. The classification of direct and indirect lightning depends on the striking distance. The striking distance and flashover rate are calculated by using the method based on Central Research Institute of Electric Power Industry(CRIEPI). The distribution system and lightning is modeled by using EMTP and MATLAB, and the accuracy of modeling is discussed. The simulations for the various spacing between two adjacent surge arresters and the various grounding resistance of GW according to the existence of GW are performed and the simulation results are analyzed.
