모바일 기반의 스마트 감성조명 제어 시스템 (Smart Emotional Lighting Control System based on Mobile)

  • 본 논문에서는 모바일 기반의 스마트 감성조명 제어 시스템을 제안한다. 감성조명 장치의 내부발열 및 전력소비를 감소시키기 위하여 제안된 스마트 감성조명 제어 시스템은 안드로이드 플랫폼 모바일 기기와 지그비 모듈, 감성조명 장치, 점등제어 모듈, 전원 공급기, 범용 트랜지스터로 구성하였다. 모바일 디바이스는 시스템에 연결될 때, 감성조명 장치에 실시간 제어 정보를 전송하고, 제어 메시지 및 상태 모니터링을 기반으로 감성조명 장치를 제어하도록 설계하였다. 본 논문에서 제안된 스마트 감성조명 제어 시스템의 효율성 검증 결과, 감성조명 제어 및 색온도 변수에 의해 제어가 가능하였다. 그리고 감성언어를 사용하여 가변적으로 점등제어하기 때문에 21%의 발열량 및 최대 48%의 소비 전력을 감소시켰다.

에너지절감을 위한 태양광발전설비 연계형 경관조명 전력제어시스템의 개발 (An Development of Landscape Lighting Power Control System with Solar Cell Generator Equipment for Energy Saving)

  • In this paper, we propose the landscape lighting power control system with solar sell generator equipment for energy saving, and also which is included the landscape lighting power transformation device. The power transformation device can check inverse current in the power of the solar cell module and control the power of the battery. And we present the design of landscape lighting power control system. The power control system uses microprocessor with charging system and power transformation device. And also it can control the power of loads under consideration intensity of illumination. The landscape lighting loads are composed of LED(Lighting Emitting Diode) and HID(High Intensity Discharge)lamps. To evaluate property, we installed the solar cell array which generate three kilo watt power. Experimental results show that the proposed system can have stability and energy saving on the mixed configuration of electric loads with DC and AC lamps.

Fast Device Discovery for Remote Device Management in Lighting Control Networks

  • The Remote Device Management (RDM) protocol is used to manage the devices in the lighting control networks. RDM provides bi-directional communications between a controller and many lighting devices over the DMX512-A network. In RDM, using a simple binary search scheme, which is based on the 48-bit unique ID (UID) of each device, discovers the lighting devices. However, the existing binary search scheme tends to require a large delay in the device discovery process. In this paper, we propose a novel partition-based discovery scheme for fast device discovery in RDM. In the proposed scheme, all devices are divided into several partitions as per the device UID, and the controller performs device discovery for each partition by configuring a response timer that each device will use. From numerical simulations, we can see that there is an optimal number of partitions to minimize the device discovery time for a given number of devices in the proposed scheme, and also that the proposed partition-based scheme can reduce the device discovery time, as compared to the existing binary search scheme.

A Study on LED Lighting Control according to Sleep Stage using PPG Sensor of Wearable Device

  • Recently, as the sleep disorder problem of modern people deepens, the interest towards quality of sleep is increasing. To increase the quality of modern people's sleep. This paper has suggested an LED lighting control system according to the sleep stage using PPG sensors of wearable devices. The pulse of the wrist radial artery was measured using a wearable device mounted with PPG sensor, which enables heart rate-measuring, and by using the point that heart rate lowers during stable sleep than non-sleeping, the LED lighting of indoors was controlled, which is the disturbing element when sleeping. For the performance evaluation, a 10-Fold cross analysis was conducted for performance evaluation, and a result of an average accuracy 87.02% was obtained as a result. Therefore, the LED lighting control system according to the sleep stage using a wearable device of this paper is expected to contribute to raise the quality of the user's life.

Integrated Lighting Enabler System Using M2M Platforms for Enhancing Energy Efficiency

  • This paper proposes an integrated lighting enabler system (ILES) based on standard machine-to-machine (M2M) platforms. This system provides common services of end-to-and M2M communication for smart lighting system. It is divided into two sub-systems, namely end-device system and server system. On the server side, the M2M platform OpenMTC is used to receive data from the sensors and send response for activating actuators. At the end-device system, a programmable smart lighting device is connected to the actuators and sensors for communicating their data to the server. Some experiments have been done to prove the system concept. The experiment results show that the proposed integrated lighting enabler system is effective to reduce the power consumption by 25.22% (in average). The proving of significance effect in reducing power consumption is measured by the Wilcoxon method.

LED터널등 모듈의 폐열활용을 위한 열전소자의 발전 성능 분석 (Analysis of the Thermoelectric Devices' Power Generation Performance for Utilizing the Waste Heat of LED Tunnel Lighting Module)

  • In this paper, we propose the LED(Light-Emitting-Diode) emergency lighting in a tunnel by using the thermoelectric devices. To achieve high generated power, thermoelectric device should be have high Seebeck coefficient and small contact area. Also, we reveal that a moderate heatsink required for high generated power. From the waste heat of LED tunnel lighting module (25W), the generated power was 0.062W by thermoelectric device, and it could illuminate for 1hour after charge the battery of emergency lighting during about 101hours.

최적의 에너지 효율을 위한 새로운 LED 조명기기 점등제어 알고리즘 (A New LED Light Device Lighting Control Algorithm for Optimal Energy Saving)

  • 본 논문에서는 최적의 에너지 효율을 위한 새로운 LED 조명기기 점등제어 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 제안된 점등제어 알고리즘은 다중센서를 기반으로 주변 조도를 측정하여 LED 조명기기의 전원부를 제어하여 에너지를 절약하였다. 또한 점등된 시간동안에는 팔각형 패턴으로 점등을 하게 되고, 일정시간 간격으로 패턴을 반전시켜 점등제어를 하다가 모션 센서에 의해 움직임이 감지되면 전체 LED는 점등하도록 설계하였다. 그리고 실시간으로 센서들로부터 측정된 정보를 Zigbee 무선 네트워크에 의하여 중앙관제센터와 통신하여 원격으로 관리제어가 가능하도록 설계하였다. 본 논문에서 제안한 점등제어 알고리즘은 에너지 절감 효과를 입증하기 위하여, 점등제어 프로그램을 이용하여 LED 조명기기의 점등 상태에 대한 전력 소비를 측정하였다. 측정한 결과, 기존의 점등 방식보다 제안한 알고리즘을 적용한 점등방식은 약 40% 이상의 에너지 절감 효과가 있음을 입증하였다.

낮은 도로 조명의 노면 휘도 실태 분석에 대한 연구 (The Study on the Analysis of Road Surface Brightness of Low Mounted Road Lighting System)

  • Low road lighting is a lighting device that complements the shortcomings of existing pillar-type street lights. It is a lighting device that emits light from the side of the road surface and adjusts the luminance of the road surface like a light carpet. In this paper, to achieve full commercialization, we analyzed the luminance of the installed road surface and studied whether lighting could replace existing road lighting. In this study, the LMK (Luminance Measurement Camera) LABSOFT program was used to measure and analyze the surface luminance of road lighting, and the RELUX program was used to evaluate and analyze the simulation performance to determine light-based lighting conditions. A study was conducted to determine whether replacing pillar-type road lighting with low-level road lighting in a real environment would ensure comfortable and safe night vision for drivers at night.

국부치료를 위한 Retractor용 LED 광섬유 의료보조조명 장치 개발 (LED Fiber-Optic Lighting Devices Developed for Medical Assistance for the Local Treatment Retractor)

  • 본 논문에서 소개하는 기기는 병의원의 수술실에서 수술전용조명인 무영등만으로는 직접 조명할 수 없는 수술부위의 환부에 근접 국부조명을 제공하는 장치로서, 임상의들이 인체 깊숙한 환부의 질환 치료를 안전하게 시술하도록 한다. 이 의료 보조조명 장치는 종양제거나 혈관봉합과 같은 미세한 수술과정에서 발생할 수 있는 치명적인 수술 실패를 방지하기 위해서 필요한 장치이다. 광원 및 전원부 등의 구성요소는 저전력, 소형화로 설계되었으며, 협각렌즈를 사용하여 광확산 효과의 증가와 집중 조명에 용이하도록 하였다. 광케이블을 사용한 조명전송과 조명장치의 Endcap은 사용 후 다음 환자를 위하여 소독이 가능하도록 방수형으로 설계되었다. 리트렉터 조명장치 개발 후 이루어진 광원특성 측정 결과, 조도 490lux, 휘도 $11,550cd/m^2$, 연색성 78, 색온도 11,000K 및 고른 조도분포도를 보여 국부 의료보조조명으로서 적합하였음이 확인되었다.

  • This paper focuses on the domestic illumination research trends in 2012 based on reviewing the published papers in the Journal of the Korean Institute of Illuminating and Electrical Installation Engineers. It classifies and resumes the papers in five themes including exterior lighting, interior lighting, LED/OLED, optical device and optical fiber, and lighting industry. By comparatively studying a large number of papers published in Japan, North America, and China in the same year, the international illumination research trends are also figured out and further academic research topics are suggested.
