Quantitative Analysis of Effects for Quality Control on Medical Primary Class LCD Display Devices Based on AAPM TG18 Report (AAPM TG18에 의한 진단용 LCD 디스플레이 장치 정도관리 효과의 정량적 분석)

  • The image display is an Important component of PACS and of medical digital imaging chain. Displayed image qualify is affected by the physical characteristics of display device, appropriate clinical settings and calibrations, and ambient lighting conditions. The performance of display systems is continuously degraded over time due to luminance deterioration and changes of clinical setting parameters. A routine QC is recommended because the performance of display systems is continuously degraded over time. Ten flat panel monochrome LCD display devices were included in the evaluation of the QC effect. The effect of QC on primary class LCD medical display devices for selected QC tests was evaluated by comparing the performances, luminance response, luminance dependencies, display resolution and display chromaticity in this study, of before and after the calibration procedures. The effects of the QC are significant to luminance response and luminance spatial dependencies test and the other side, are slight to the display resolution and display chromaticity test. A routine QC of display device is essential for the consistency of medical image display and presentation. The study of the QC effects of display devices will play an important role in practical QC procedures of display devices.

  • In recent years, China's tourism performing art in a series of new completion of the project, increase the box office of tourism performing arts industry, higher economic income, at the same time led to the formation of brand of tourism performing arts and has a good reputation, with the regional culture, has a certain role in promoting economic development, including Large scenario experience drama is one of the key projects. Large scenario experience drama is a new form of drama that simulates the space design of real environment and enables the audience to have active experience in visual, auditory, smell, taste, touch and other senses with strong interactivity.Large scenario experience drama are adapted from traditional Chinese culture, regional culture and long-passed stories, and combine high technology such as lighting, sound effects, special effects and 3D effects to make the audience's experience more real.As the first Large scenario experience drama in China, 'You Jian Ping-yao' reflects the profound culture of Shanxi with new forms of expression and creative means, in the form of scene experience and make the audience more intuitive feel the 'Shanxi emotion', 'Shanxi sentiment' and 'Shanxi Morality', carry forward the traditional culture at the same time, also passed the Shanxi ancient and great values, strengthened the drama of China's movie village, impetus the development of the tourism industry in Shanxi, drive the Shanxi region of jingjing, gradually formed a complete industrial chain. However, there are also limitations such as improper plot connection and improper tourist management, which can improve the performance effect through more audience interaction and guidance. Therefore, it can be seen that large-scale situational experience dramas play a great role in promoting the dissemination of traditional culture and values, the development of tourism industry, the formation of regional brand characteristics and economic development. Through these, it can be seen that large-scale situational experience plays have enlightenments such as innovative thinking content, gradually forming an industrial chain closed-loop, and broadening publicity channels for the development of live-action performances.

A Study of Costumes in the $Lo{\ddot{i}}e$ Fuller's Dance (로이 풀러의 무대 의상에 관한 연구)

  • As a pioneer of modem dance, $Lo{\ddot{i}}e$ Fuller($1869\sim1928$) was important because she introduced a free style dance using a new style of stage costumes. Also, $Lo{\ddot{i}}e$ Fuller was an important motif in $fin-de-si{\grave{e}}cle$, French arts, posters, sculptures, and so forth. This study aimed to clarify the characteristics of Fuller's dance and costumes, and to analyze the modernism in both. To better understand Fuller's dance, this article talks about research on Fuller's career, dance, and Fuller's own biography. Stage costumes, letters for patent, and photographs were are also studied. The most important elements of Fuller's dance were her costumes and the electric lights which could make free style expressions a fantastic representation of dance. To clarify the modernity of Fuller's dance, first of all, this study researched Fuller's career in dance and then analyzed representations of Fuller's dances in visual arts; posters, sculptures and lastly, the characteristics of Fuller's stage costumes. As a result, this article analyzed characteristics of Fuller's dance in three points. First, Fuller used sculptures of silk cloth's drapery to express physical movements and actions. Second, Fuller used lighting and electrical effects that had just been developed in the late 19th Century. Third, Fuller made an application for patents against stage costume and stage mechanisms for her original shows. This study focused on $Lo{\ddot{i}}e$ Fuller's stage costumes which played a main role in expressing fantastic sculptures for the first time in costume, visual arts, and dance studies. This study clarifies the characteristics of the stage costumes in Fuller's dance and is estimated as pioneering and fundamental research.

Measurement of Net Photosynthetic Rate in the Plug Stand (플러그묘 개체군의 순광합성속도 측정)

  • Two methods were used to detrermine the net photosynthetic rate(NPR) in the plug stand using a wind tunnel for plug seedlings Production. One is called as the integration method in which NPR calculated by the use of air current speed and $CO^2$ concentration measured at any heights above the medium surface in a wind tunnel were summed. It was assumed that the air flow at any layer did not mix with the lower or upper air layer. The other is called as the diffusion method in which eddy diffusivities above the plug stand were used to determine the NPR in the plug stand. In this method, $CO^2$ above or inside the plug stand was assumed to be absorbed vertically. NPR determined by the diffusion method was 28~45% of the NPR calculated by the integration method. Considering the magnitude of NPR and the effects of the air current speed on NPR, the integration method would be adequate for the calculation of NPR in the plug stand. Maximum NPR determined using the integration method appeared at the air current speed of 0.7m $s^{-1}$. It was ascribed to the decreased diffusion resistances of $CO^2$ with the increasing air current speed. NPR at the rear region in plug stand was 20~34% lower than that at the front region. NPR sharply decreased with the increase of an elapsed time after the beginning of photoperiod. Therefore $CO^2$ enrichment would be effective to force the growth of plug seedlings in a semi-closed ecological system under artificial lighting.

A Comparison Study on Color Planing and Application in interior space of subway station (지하철 정거장 내부공간의 색채계획과 적용에 관한 비교 연구)

  • The subway lines have been expanded to solve the traffic problems in Korean cities, so that a big number of people daily use the subway stations. Therefore, subway stations became a kind of public space as well as traffic space. However, the underground space of the stations are essentially different with the aboveground space in terms of environmental and psychological terms. The color planning can be used to reduce the environmental and psychological disadvantages of underground spaces of subway stations. The purpose of this study is to understand the current design methods of subway stations' color planning. To achieve this purpose, this study investigates all reports of 'Color Planning for the Subway' which were used for the construction of subway lines in 6(six) Korean cities. After analyzing the design theories and methods used for the color planning, field studies have been done upon 10 subway lines of 6 cities, to find out the limitations of color planning, the differences between color planning and actual results. The conclusions are as follows : First, the color planning for subway stations does not seem to consider the characteristics of underground space and its psychological effects, such as the depth of station, the lighting source and methods. Second, some critical differences have been found between the color planning and the actual application during construction, due to arbitrary interpretation and limitations of color expression of the construction materials. Third, and therefore, the colors applied in stations do not perform their planned role such as 'variety in the unity', 'symbolic expression of the city and station'.

Effects of Correlated Color Temperature of LED Light Sources and a Flourescent Light Source on Visual Performance (LED광원과 형광광원의 상관색온도가 시작업 성능에 미치는 영향)

  • Recently, from an environmental conservative point of view, the need of high-efficiency lighting system, using LED(Light Emitting Diode) light sources have been increased. However, applied LED light sources without regard to its color and pattern provide visual discomfort to occupant. The objective of this study is not only to evaluate the performance of task work under different correlated color temperature condition, but also furnish the preliminary data as concerning its purpose and user of inner space. For the purpose of this study, two types of LED light sources and a fluorescent light source were selected. Thirty undergraduate students served as the participants. Two different task work sheets were conducted to evaluate the accuracy and duration of time. Results from subjective performance, task work of error modification showed that LED light sources were 2.5[%] higher in accuracy with 17.1[%] lower duration than a fluorescent light source. In the case of reading task work, It is presented 20.6[%] decrease with the LED light sources comparison with a fluorescent light source.

  • Men should be able to do whatever they want to and want to safely protected at home which is special domain for them. The disabled live mentally uncomfortable lives at home which should be a place where they should be comfortable and convenient. Renovation projects started in Incheon since 2009 by commencing renovation projects for the disabled by the government and welfare centers. Since the project is a program supported by the government or welfare centers thus priority on renovation was decided and carried out by in-depth interview to decide areas to renovate because of limited budgets. This paper is aimed to propose plans for renovating homes according to priority for renovation for dwellers when renovating homes for the disabled with limited budgets. Renovating home for the disabled can be broadly divided into physical, environmental, esthetic renovations, and physical renovation is a basic renovation for daily lives without restrictions in living and include easy movements, accesses to each rooms and adequacy of movement, easily accesses related with easily accessible distance and height, safety to prevent accidents caused by physical inabilities. Environmental renovation is general supports becoming the base of daily living and include control for controlling lighting, heating, air quality for comfortable environments in living space and pleasantness to maintain bright and pleasant interior with sufficient light. Esthetic renovation includes expression of identity by expressing image of one self and visual effects or spatial consideration for hobbies to enjoy comfortable and rich lives.

A Review on the Visualization Plan of Ocean Waves for Ship Maneuvering Simulator (선박운항 시뮬레이터를 위한 해양파 가시화 방안 고찰)

  • To improve the ocean waves of the ship maneuvering simulator, we study and summarize the visualization elements of the ocean waves and the overall direction of their implementation in detail. We categorize the visualization elements of the ocean waves into five groups, including wave surface, wave breaking, interaction, lighting effects, and underwater. We also analyze the design and implementation issues of the visualization of the ocean waves for ship maneuvering simulator with respect to realistic and real-time ocean visualization, ship dynamics, and application purposes. Through the analysis, we have found that the realistic visualization of ocean waves plays an important role in the generation of immersiveness, more accurate ship motion, and the various and controllable simulation scenarios for the ship maneuvering simulator. Additionally, we have confirmed that there are many visualization elements, methods, and limitations to be considered for the visualization of the ocean waves for ship maneuvering simulator, and we have concluded that the systematic design is required before implementation.

Effect of Noise Reduction Function in Digital Camera on the Resolution of Digital Image (디지털카메라의 노이즈감소기능이 이미지 해상도에 미치는 영향)

  • Recent digital camera development tendency shows the higher ISO extension which enables a user to take a picture in deemed lighting condition without using a flash or another equipment. Also noise reduction function has been developed to adjust the higher ISO extension. But using the high ISO causes a lot of noises so that proper noise reduction function should be adjusted. So the manufacturers introduce the advanced noise reduction function with higher ISOs as the digital camera performance development. On the other hands, the defect of noise reduction is not widely open such as remaining noise in high ISOs and decreasing resolution. Therefore, in this research we verify and experiment the decrease of resolution by using noise reduction function on a digital camera. Moreover we analyze the results how much the noise reduction function effects to the image resolution. And we present the results as practical numerical values.

Qualitative Factor Analysis on Speed Reduction of Drivers in Expressways Tunnel Section (고속도로 터널구간 도로이용자 속도감소의 정성적 요인분석 연구)

  • Tunnel sections on the expressway are different from rest of sections on the expressway in terms of velocity, the number of passing cars, and vehicle density which, in particular, affect drivers' behavior before and after drivers pass through the tunnel. However, literature review reveals that former studies are too focused on quantitative indicator to consider qualitative aspects. Thus, this study tried to find out qualitative factors affecting speed reduction in tunnel sections based on questionnaire surveys and its analysis in tunnel sections selected by taking consideration of diverse conditions. Analysis showed that factors concerning tunnel configuration (lane width, shoulder width, and tunnel length) related to very long tunnels increasingly popular recently had some effects on reduced speed inside of tunnels. It appeared that visual environment such as visibility of tunnel entrance had an impact in speed reduction and vehicle speed tended to change according to lighting illumination level inside of tunnels. It is expected that continual investment would be made in technological development related to expressway tunnel design and service improvement based on this study.
