Development of Light weight Aluminum Subframe using Hybrid forming process (복합성형공법 적용 경량 알루미늄 서브프레임 개발)

  • The light weight aluminum subframe for automobile chassis part was developed using hybrid process, i.e. extruforming, press stamping and MIG welding. To achieve a 30 % weight reduction compared with conventional steel subframe keeping satisfactory performance, the design of cross-section of extruforming part was introduced, then forming simulation was performed and the final design was determined. In addition, we tried to estibilish optimun aluminum welding conditions for good penetration depth and few pore defact, finally the prototype of aluminum subframe was assembled using MIG welding method.

  • In this study, the optimum structural components of the rural house using the light gage cold-formed steel frame is proposed. The model for selecting the optimum structural components, determines the range of load by the region and size of house, calculates the weight of the component by structural design process and optimizes a kind of the component by sensitivity analysis of the component to the total weight.

  • 본 논문에서는 비밀분산기법과 임계 암호시스템을 사용하여 사용자의 공개키 암호 알고리즘 연산과 공개키 유효성 검증에 대한 연산의 오버헤드를 최소화시킨 새로운 Certified E-mail 시스템을 제안한다. 따라서, 제안 방안은 셀룰러 폰이나 무선 PDA와 같은 컴퓨팅 파워가 취약한 메일 사용자에게 적합하다 또한, 제안 시스템은 신뢰성을 완전히 분산시킨 TTP(Trusted Third Party)를 사용함으로써, TTP의 훼손이나 악의적인 사용자의 공모 공격에 강건하도록 설계되었다.

  • The pipe of CFRP for bicycle frame is designed and made for light weight of bicycle and then its suitability to bicycle frame is verified by comparing the other material i.e. steel, Cr-Mo steel, Al alloy pipe for bicycle frame. The pipe of CFRP is laminated to [0/$\pm$45]$_T$ and made by tape winding method and then its degree of light weight is evaluated by comparing the other pipes which is made by steel etc.

  • This paper describes the development of the 3DDAC mk.4 system, which is a brand new implementation on the research program. The 3DDAC is a fatigue-less stereoscopic display system that is provided with a compensating function of accommodation for binocular disparity 3D image representation. The mk.4 system also features a light-weight HMD style.

  • In this paper, a theoretical approach is studied to predict structural performances and weight reduction rates of a car-body with shell type sections in case that its materials have to be substituted. For the material substitution design of a car-body, bending, axial and twisting deformations are considered under constant stiffness and strength conditions, which utilize some new indices derived from a structural performance point of view. The developed indices to measure the weight reduction by the material substitution give good guidelines on conceptual design of car-bodies.

  • Compact system cameras (CSCs) are commonly used nowadays and feature enhanced video functions and thin yet light interchangeable lenses. They differ from digital single-lens reflex (DSLR) cameras in their lack of mirror boxes. CSCs, however, have autofocus (AF) speeds lower than those of conventional DSLRs, requiring weight reduction of their AF groups. To ensure the marketability of large telephoto zoom lenses with fixed f/2.8 regardless of field angle variation, in particular, light weight AF groups are essential. In this paper, we introduce a paraxial optical design method and present a new, large, telephoto zoom lens with f/2.8 regardless of the field angle variation, plus a lightweight AF group consisting of only one lens. Using the basic paraxial optical design and optimization methods, we fabricated a new and lighter zoom lens system, including a single-lens, lightweight AF group with almost the same performance.
