TPS를 이용한 한국형 고무차륜경량전철(K-AGT)의 성능특성 분석 (Train Performance Characteristics of Korean Rubber-Tired AGT System by TPS)

  • In this work, the characteristics of train performance of Korean rubber-tired AGT system(K-AGT) are evaluated by using TPS(Train Performance Simulation) and these results are compared to those of other LRT(Light Rail Transit) systems. The performance characteristics of K-AGT was analyzed by comparing the scheduled speed and the energy consumption in case of station interval change and rail track condition change in, the scheduled construction line. In the scheduled construction line, scheduled speed of K-AGT was no difference with other systems and energy consumption was less than other LRT's. In case station intervals are increased, scheduled speed of K-AGT shows similar increasing rate and in curved and graded track conditions K-AGT has no difference in scheduled speed with other systems. As a simulation result by track condition change, when the track which is smaller than curved line of 250m dominates more than $50\%$ in whole track, K-AGT is similar to other systems to the point of scheduled speed and there is advantage in energy consumption.

디젤 엔진의 디젤-에탄올 혼합연료 적용이 엔진 진동 및 배기가스 특성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Diesel-ethanol Blended Fuel on the Vibration and Emission Characteristics in a Diesel Engine)

  • This study described the effect of the multiple injections and diesel-ethanol on the NVH, combustion and emission characteristics of 4 cylinder common rail diesel engine. In order to investigate the influence of diesel-ethanol blended fuel in a light-duty common rail diesel engine, the injection strategy was varied with pilot injection, double pilot injections, and one main injection at various operating conditions. The results showed that diesel-ethanol blended fuel had longer ignition delay than that of the ultra low diesel fuel(ULSD). Also, in the case of multiple injections, the combustion pressure is increased smoothly near the TDC and the NVH are decreased. In the emission characteristics, diesel-ethanol blended fuel produced lower indicated specific nitrogen oxides(IS-NOX) and indicated specific Soot(IS-soot) emissions, however, indicated specific unburned hydrocarbon(IS-HC) and indicated specific carbon monoxide(IS-CO) emissions are slightly increased.

Calibration of Timetable Parameters for Rail-Guided Systems

  • In order to achieve a comprehensive utilization of railway networks, it is necessary to accurately assess the timetable indicators that effect the train operation. This paper describes the parameter calibration for two timetable indicators: scheduled running time and scheduled dwell time. For the scheduled running time, an existing model is employed and the single timetable parameter (percentage of minimum running time) in that model is optimized. For the scheduled dwell time, two intrinsic characteristics: the significance of stations and the average headway at each station are proposed firstly to form a new model, and the corresponding timetable parameters (the weight of the significance and the weight of the average headway) are calibrated subsequently. The Floyd Algorithm is used to obtain the connectivity among stations, which represents the significance of the stations. A case study is conducted in a light rail transportation system with 17 underground stations. The results of this research show that the optimal value of the scheduled running time parameter can be automatically determined, and the proposed model for the scheduled dwell time works well with a high coefficient of determination and low relative root mean square error through the leave-one-out validation.

주행상태에서의 가이드라인 계측 시스템 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of Guide Line Measurement System in the Driving Condition)

  • The handling ability of containers at the terminal strongly depends on the performance of the cargo handling system such as RTGC(Rubber Tired Gantry Crane) and RMGC(Rail Mounted Gantry Crane). This paper introduces a guide line measurement system on the operating condition, in which two camera are installed to detect the guide line. Because the line tracking is the basic technique for control system design of RTGC, it is necessary to develop a useful and reliable measurement system. If the displacement and angle of the RTGC relative to a guide line as the trajectory to follow is obtained, the position of RTGC is automatically calculated. Therefore, in this paper, a camera-based measurement system is introduced. The proposed measurement system is robust against light fluctuation and cracks of the guide line. This system consists of two camera and a PC which are installed at the lower side of the RTGC. Two edges of the guide line are detected from an input image taken by the cameras in the moving state, and these positions are determined in a Hough parameter space by using the Hough transformation method. From the experimental results, the accuracy and usefulness of the proposed system is evaluated by comparing other instruments.

카메라 모델과 투시 변환에 의한 레일 마모도 측정 시스템 개발 (Development of the Railway Abrasion Measurement System using Camera Model and Perspective Transformation)

  • 레이저와 카메라를 이용한 레일 마모도 측정 시스템은 정확한 마모도 측정을 위하여 레일에 조사된 레이저의 영역을 왜곡 없이 획득하고 이를 레일 단면과 정밀하게 일치시키는 과정이 매우 중요하다. 그러나 기존의 레일 마모도 측정 시스템은 빗물 등의 레일 위에 이물질이 있을 경우와 온도와 같은 측정 환경에 민감하게 반응하는 레이저의 특성으로 인하여 오차가 발생할 수 있으며 특히 외부에서 유입되는 태양광, 등과 같이 레일에 조사된 레이저와 같은 파장을 가지는 빛의 간섭에 의하여 레일에 조사된 레이저 영역 추출에 한계를 가진다. 또한, 2차원 상의 좌표 값으로 표현되는 추출된 레이저 영역을 레일단면에 맵핑시키는 과정에서 발생하는 기하학적 왜곡과 변형으로 측정 정밀도에 대한 한계가 발생하는 문제점을 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 레일 마모도 측정을 위하여 카메라로부터 입력되는 1메가급 해상도의 영상을 초당 480 프레임의 속도로 실시간 처리할 수 있는 DSP와 FPGA가 탑재된 고성능 영상처리보드를 개발하고 이를 기반으로 각 프레임에 대한 2D 영상 데이터를 3차원 상의 데이터로 맵핑함으로써 정밀한 레일 마모도 측정 방법을 제안하고자 한다. 획득한 영상으로부터 레일에 조사된 레이저의 영역을 정확하게 추출하기 위하여 웨이브렛 기반의 영상 알고리즘을 적용하고 2차원 상의 좌표값으로 표현된 레이저 영역을 카메라 모델과 투시 변환을 이용하여 레일의 단면에 정확하게 위치시킴으로서 ${\pm}0.5mm$ 이하의 오차범위를 가지는 고정밀 레일 마모도 측정 시스템을 개발하였다.

A Power Regulation and Harmonic Current Elimination Approach for Parallel Multi-Inverter Supplying IPT Systems

  • The single resonant inverter is widely employed in typical inductive power transfer (IPT) systems to generate a high-frequency current in the primary side. However, the power capacity of a single resonant inverter is limited by the constraints of power electronic devices and the relevant cost. Consequently, IPT systems fail to meet high-power application requirements, such as those in rail applications. Total harmonic distortion (THD) may also violate the standard electromagnetic interference requirements with phase shift control under light load conditions. A power regulation approach with selective harmonic elimination is proposed on the basis of a parallel multi-inverter to upgrade the power levels of IPT systems and suppress THD under light load conditions by changing the output voltage pulse width and phase shift angle among parallel multi-inverters. The validity of the proposed control approach is verified by using a 1,412.3 W prototype system, which achieves a maximum transfer efficiency of 90.602%. Output power levels can be dramatically improved with the same semiconductor capacity, and distortion can be effectively suppressed under various load conditions.

  • 궤도상부(레일, 체결구, 침목)를 완전하게 잘 지지하기 위해서는 궤도하부(도상, 노반)가 충분한 강도를 가지고 균질한 강성을 가져야 한다. 궤도의 수직지지강성은 궤도하부의 상태(세립분 함량, 함수비)에 크게 영향을 받는다. 따라서 궤도의 수직지지강성을 평가하기 위하여 궤도하부의 상태를 평가하는 것은 매우 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 궤도하부의 상태를 진단할 수 있는 GPR/PBS/LFWD로 구성된 궤도기초상태평가법을 제안하였다. 제안된 궤도기초 상태평가법의 적용성을 평가하기 위하여 실내 실험 및 현장시험을 수행하였다.

경전철/모노레일의 ATP/ATO를 위한 Tag in-Tag out 설계 (Design of Tag in-Tag out for ATP/ATO in the Light Rail and Monorail)

  • We designed a track circuit of Tag in-tag out type that can be used for light rails and monorails. This method is called RFID-Tag and it literally uses RFID-Tag and replaces a fixed track circuit and implements a moving block. The distance between RFID-Tags is set to the length of a train and thus a train is always in contact with one of the tags. A train runs in RFID-Tag in -RFID-Tag out type at all times and the distance between trains can be precisely controlled through the application of a moving block combined with the basic principle of a fixed block, which enables the continuous speed control and enhances the satisfaction of passengers. When constructing a track circuit using RFID-Tag the Tag in-tag out brings us the cost reduction and is more economical than the existing fixed track circuit in that sense and easy for installation and maintenance. The wireless communication between onboard and wayside makes the continuous control possible and can improve the control capacity of ATP/ATO by the implementation of a moving block on top of a fixed one.

  • The light-rail system which is recently being built in Korea is a train control system based on driverless operation, and the train control system for urban maglev train under construction at the moment in Youngjong-Do, Incheon is pushed ahead based on driverless operation. In this paper, it compares train operation cases with manned operation and unmanned operation to examine system requirements for unmanned driving on train and detects system requirements of automatic train operation device for unmanned operation by analyzing unmanned operation cases which are currently operating or planed project and also introduces automatic train operation of urban maglev train and verifies whether the system for unmanned driving meets the requirements.

  • The CBTC(Communication Based Train Control) system, a recent train control system, is a wireless communication based train control system that is operated in the moving block system control by tracking trains in real time. In additioin, the system helps to increase the volume of traffic by shortening driving headways through controlling moving block system control. Furthermore, driverless modes are performed by controlling ATP(Automatic Train Protection)/ATO(Automatic Train Operation). In this paper, controllable elements in ATO driverless train control system, affecting comfortable ride, will be analysed and applied to CBTC train control system that developed by POSCO ICT. Finally, the test results of improved comfortable ride will be showed by appling the developed system to the Gyeong-san light rail transit test track.
