황색계 천연염색 견직물의 색채 이미지 연구 (A Study of Color Image on Silk Fabrics Dyed with Yellow Natural Materials)

  • Silk fabrics were dyed with yellow natural materials. Gardenia, turmeric, amur cork tree, safflower, Japanese pagoda tree, and onion were used as natural materials. Color image of natural dyed silk fabrics was classified by 4 factors(Cheerfulness, Comfortness, Pastrol, Revealation). Cheerfulness factor affected significantly with color image. Amur cork tree or turmeric dyed fabrics were shown as light and cute, safflower or gardenia dyed fabric shown as comfort, and onion dyed fabrics shown as mature and simple. Color image with specialty was significant difference in Preference and Revelation factor. Preference was appeared as amur cork tree>turmeric>gardenia>safflower>Japanese pagoda tree>onion.

국내 및 수입 브랜드 골프웨어의 소비자 구매행동에 따른 구매집단별 제품평가 (Product Evaluation on Consumers' Buying Behavior of Domestic & Imported Golf Wear Brands)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate product evaluation on consumer's buying behavior of domestic & imported golf wear brands. The questionnaires were sent to 200 consumers who play golf. The 119 data were analyzed by mean, t-test, ANOVA and chi-square. The results of the study were as follows: There were significant differences on consumers' evaluation of apparel quality on fabric and style between groups. Consumers evaluated that the imported golf wears made of more soft, light and unique fabric than domestic, and had a unique and characteristic style. The evaluation of apparel quality according to demographic information has significant difference. Consumers(46-55 ages, business managers and professional) evaluated imported brands were made of soft and light fabric. Consumers(business managers) buying imported brand evaluated dry-cleaning was inconvenient. Consumers who engaged in service industry evaluated domestic brands were easy to coordinate with other items.

밤의 외피에서 추출한 염료를 이용한 직물 염색 (Fabrics Dyeing using Natural Dyestuff Manufactured from Chestnut Hulls)

  • The natural dyestuff(chestnut dye) was manufactured from chestnut hulls by boiling in 0.5 NaOH solution and powdering in freeze dryer. To investigate the dyeability and color fastness, cotton, wool, silk and nylon fabrics were dyed under several conditions using the manufactured chestnut dye. Dyeing operation was carried in acidic dyebath of pH 4-5 because the chestnut dye is anionic. Dyeabilities on wool, silk and nylon fabrics were good, especially nylon fabrics were dyed deeper than others. But dyeability on cotton fabrics was not good. All the dyed fabrics showed excellent color fastness to crocking. Color fastness to laupdering of them were moderate to good. Also light fastness of them were moderate to good except nylon. The light fastness of dyed nylon fabrics was as poor as grade 1. But they could be improved to grade 4 by aftertreatment with gallic acid.

  • To Save energy and cost one bath/one step dyeing and finishing on cotton/polyester blends is carried out with disperse dyes in the presence of crosslinking agent. Cotton 100 %, cotton/polyester 70/30, 50/50, 35/65, polyester 100 % fabrics were used. wrinkle recovery angle, tensile strength retention and tearing strength retention were determined in according to the dyebath composition, and also determined while the concentration of DMDHEU, molecular weight and concentration of PEG were varied. Colorfastness to abrasion, washing and light were tested. For cotton and cotton/polyester blends dyed in the presence of DMDHEU/PEG, wrinkle recovery was improved. Tensile strength retention and tearing strength retention were decreased, in compared with dyed fabrics without DMDHEU. Colorfastness to abrasion was good but colorfastness to washing and to light were poor for the fabrics dyed in the presence of DMDHEU/PEG.

오징어 먹물 색소를 이용한 직물에의 염색 (Fabrics Dyeing using Natural dyestuff Manufactured from Squid Ink)

  • The natural dyestuff(squid ink) was manufactured from squid ink by boiling in 0.1% NaOH solution and powdering in freeze dryer. Cotton, wool, silk and nylon fabrics were dyed under several conditions using the manufactured squid ink to investigate the dyeability and color fastness. Dyeing was operated in acidic dyebath of pH 4 because the squid ink is anionic. Dyeabilities on wool, silk and nylon fabrics were good, especially silk fabrics were dyed deeper than others because of being amine group. But dyeability on cotton fabrics was low and developed with chitosan treatment. All the dyed fabrics showed excellent in color fastness to crocking and laundering. Also light fastness of them were excellent except nylon. The light fastness of dyed-nylon fabrics was as poor as grade 1, but they could be improved to grade 4 by aftertreatment with gallicacid. Useing the natural dyestuff-squid ink powder, we could execute whenever we want to dye fabrics in the adequate concentration. Dyeabilities were developed according to repeating times of dyeing and the increased dye concentration. We could recycle the wasting sources.

의류 매장 종류에 따른 쇼윈도우 디스플레이에 관한 조사 연구 (A Survey on the Show Window Display of the Clothing Store [II])

  • In order to research the display of the apparel store, 164 women's clothing in Taegu were investigated, from September 1. to October 31.1991. The result was as follows; 1. The perpendicular style of the show window glasses is widely used regardless of the store types. 2. The show window story is most frequently found at street-level in Taegu brand stores, but there are a few multi-storied show windows in National bland stores. 3. The open style background is used in a great part of Taegu brands, but the semi-open style is widely used in most National blands. 4. The arrangement of simular colors is used in a great parts of National brands, but the arrangement of different colors is used in many Taegu brands. 5. The base light and spot light is used at a high rate regardless of the stores, but the mannequin is more often used in National brands and Taegu brands.

로즈마리 추출물의 이용한 모섬유 염색 (Dyeing of wool with rosemary extract)

  • Dyeing properties of rosemary colorants on wool fabrics were investigated. Reosemary colorants were characterized by UV and FT-IR analysis. Effect of dyeing condition on dye uptake and effect of mordanting on dye uptake, color change of colorfastness were explored. Rosemary colorants showed high affinity to wool fiber and its isotherm adsorption curve was Langmuir type. Therefore, it was considered that ionic bonding was involved in the adsorption of rosemary colorants to wool fiber. Rosemary colarants produced mainly yellowish color on wool fabric. The dyed wool fabrics showed generally high colorfastness except fastness to washing and light. Mordanting did not improve any colorfastness except that Sn mordant improved the light fastness. Bacterial reduction rate was increased up to 100% at 5% dye concentration. Therefore, antimicrobial activity of rosemary extract was confirmed.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate surface color change and effects of mordants on the K/S values of silk and wool fabrics dyed with Lac extract, according to the mordanting methods and conditions such as temperature, concentration and time of the mordanting bath. The results were as follow; 1 K/S values of the silk and wool fabrics according to the temperature of the mordanting bath were shown a slight decline beyond 40$^{\circ}C$. 2. Surface color of the silk changed from red to reddish purple and that of the wool showed red tone when mordanted with Aluminum postassium sulfate, Copper acetate and Copper (II) sulfate regardless of the mordanting conditions. 3. The light and dry cleaning fastness of silk and wool fabrics dyed with Lac extract according to the mordanting methods were very good.

  • Coocus laccae(Laccifer lacca Kerr), usually known as Lac, is a kind of cocoon which is parasitic on the tree around India and China. It contains the laconic acid of red colored dyes and has been used for cosmetic or natural dyeing prior to the introduction of New World cochineal. Nevertheless, the characterization of lac has not been studied, very little informed. The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of dyeing conditions fur Lac extract, such as pH of dye bath, concentration of Lac exact dyeing temperature and time, to find out the optimum conditions. The results were as follow. 1. The highest K/S values of the silk and wool was shown at PH 3 and PH 4. 2. K/S values of the silk came to nearly the adsorption equilibrium state at 40$^{\circ}C$ and the curve of wool showed a dramatic increase with the increase of temperature. 3. Dyed silk and wool fabrics showed good light fastness without using mordants.

  • This study aimed to look into the features of the hair beauty service components and the effects of these elements on customer satisfaction and word-of-mouth intention. Subjects were 20's-40's women and survey methods such as frequency analysis, t-test, ANOVA, factor analysis, reliability analysis, and regression analysis were used. Results were as follows: First, hair beauty service were composed of eight factors such as facilities of hair beauty salon, employee's kindness, amusement facilities, light refreshments, guidance to a process of hair style, keeping service for personal belongings, reservation service, and customer management. Second, the effects on customer satisfaction was significantly affected by facilities of hair beauty salon, employee's kindness, guidance to a process of hair style, customer management, keeping service for personal belongings, light refreshments. Third, customer satisfaction with hair beauty service affected the word-of-mouth intention.
