A Study on the Dwelling Style by Lifestyle of Middle-aged Married Women (중.장년층 기혼여성의 라이프스타일에 따른 주거양식에 관한 연구)

  • Recently, house demander's needs has diversified in the increasingly by the drastic change in the social environment, changes in family structure and population, the growing interest of living environment. So in the future, housing supply to respond to a variety of housing needs is absolutely necessary to differentiate. The purpose of this study is to analyze the lifestyle types of middle-aged married women with high purchasing power in the current housing market and propose the dwelling style by housing awareness and needs analysis. To collect the data, LOV survey method was used for 528 residents in Seoul and metropolitan area. The data analysis used SPSS PC 14.0 to find the frequency, chi-square, factor analysis, and cluster analysis. The results of analysis are as follows: First, the lifestyle was segmented into four groups such as Conservative goal-achieving lifestyle, Individual self-developing lifestyle, Positive self-trusting lifestyle, Outgoing trend-seeking lifestyle. Second, largely the dwelling style according to lifestyle types was divided into living room-kids room type and living room-kitchen type. Third, there were different preferences on the each type of housing space and the $\alpha$-space by different clusters.

A Study on Psychosocial Well-being and Health Promoting Lifestyle Practices of University students (대학생의 사회심리적 건강과 건강증진 생활양식 이행)

  • The purpose of this study was to find out the relationship between psychosocial well-bing and health promoting lifestyle practices of university students in Korea. The subjects were 282 students of one university in Chung-ju. The data were analyzed by the SAS program using mean, frequency, t-test, ANOVA and pearson correlation coefficient. The major results were as follows: 1. The average score for psychosocial well-being and health promoting lifestyle practices were low at 55.97, 103.5. In the subcategories of health promoting lifestyle practices, the highest degree of performance was interpersonal support(2.77), and the lowest degree was health responsibility(1.49). 2. There weren't statistically significant differences for the Psychosocial well-being according to sociodemographic variables. The performance of health promoting lifestyle practices was significant different according to gender and school year. 3. The Psychosocial well-being was negatively correlated with health promoting lifestyle practices. Also it was negatively correlated with subscale of health promoting lifestyle practices except health responsibility. So, significant correlation between psychoscial well-bing and self-actualization, exercise, nutrition, interpersonal support, stress management was found. Based upon this results, health promoting behavior will be clues for developing a interventional programs and strategies for the health promoting lifestyle practices in university students

A Study on Clothing Purchasing Behavior of the Uzbekistan Students Staying in Korea(II): Focus on the Fashion Lifestyle (우즈베키스탄 유학생들의 의복 구매행동에 관한 연구(II) -패션 라이프스타일을 중심으로-)

  • This study analyzed the factors determining fashion lifestyle of Uzbek students in Korea and their clothing purchasing behavior and attitudes towards Hallyu, the Korean image, satisfaction, preferences and purchasing intentions for Korean fashion according to fashion lifestyle. The data collected from 260 Uzbekistan students in Korea were subjected to factor analysis, cluster analysis, ANOVA, Duncan test, and ${\chi}^2$-test using SPSS 25.0. The results were as follows: 1) Fashion lifestyle was analyzed based on brand orientation, tradition, fashion, and personality. The fashion lifestyle group was classified as follows: brand, fashion/personality, traditional, and fashion passive. 2) The evaluation criteria for fashion products, information sources, and store selection criteria were varied among the four groups of fashion lifestyle. 3) The attitude toward Hallyu and Korean image, the satisfaction, preference, and purchasing intention of KFP varied significantly between the fashion lifestyle groups. 4) The demographics of fashion lifestyle groups showed significant differences in sex and residential status. These results can be used as a basis for fashion companies targeting markets for Uzbek people in their 20s.

The Relationships between Health Promoting Lifestyle, Resourcefulness, and Perceived Health Status in Hospital Nurses (간호사의 건강증진 생활양식, 자원동원성과 지각된 건강상태)

  • Purpose: The purpose of study was to assess the health promoting lifestyle among hospital nurses and to investigate the relationships between the health promoting lifestyle, resourcefulness, and perceived health status. Methods: The subjects were 400 nurses working at three university hospitals. The data were collected by self-administered questionnaires from September 1st to September 30th, 2008. Results: The range of Health Promoting Lifestyle Profile (HPLP) was 71-185, the average score was 112.50, and the item mean was 2.16 (total 4). The range of resourcefulness was 9-50, and the average score was 16.56. The range of perceived health status was 4-13, and the averae score was 9.52. Health promoting lifestyle was showed significantly positive correlations with resourcefulness (r=.473, p<.001), and with perceived health status (r=.176, p<.001). The independent variables including resourcefulness, religion, working shift, sleeping hours, and exercise explained 58.6% of the variance of health promoting lifestyle. Especially, resourcefulness explained 53.2% of the variance of health promoting lifestyle. Conclusion: Resourcefulness was identified as the most important variable contributing to the performance of health promoting lifestyle.

Factors Affecting Health Behaviors for Lifestyle-related Diseases of Public Officials Using Health Belief Model (건강믿음모형을 이용한 공무원의 생활습관병에 대한 건강행동 요인)

  • This study attempted to identify the health behaviors and related factors of lifestyle related diseases among some public officials. The study subjects were 729 administrative officers of the general public office of the government in D metropolitan city. The data collection was conducted by self-administered questionnaire from February 1 to March 31, 2016. As a result, the health behavior score for lifestyle related diseases showed a significant positive correlation with vulnerability, the effectiveness of health behavior and information obtained from the media about lifestyle-related diseases, while it showed a significant negative correlation with the barriers to health behaviors concerning lifestyle related diseases. As a result of the covariance structure analysis, vulnerability and seriousness about lifestyle related diseases were the most important factors affecting health behavior for lifestyle related diseases. The next most important factors were a family history of lifestyle related diseases, information obtained from the media, effectiveness of and barriers to health behavior, instrumental support, and emotional support. These results suggest that each factor constituting the Health Belief Model (HBM) (perceived vulnerability and seriousness about lifestyle related diseases, perceived effectiveness and barriers to health behaviors, family history of lifestyle related diseases, information obtained from the mass media about lifestyle related diseases, social support network for lifestyle related diseases) is an important factor to consider in practicing health behaviors for lifestyle related diseases. Therefore, it is important to accurately understand the factors related to the practice of the health behaviors of the subjects and to manage them continuously.

The Study on Health Promoting Lifestyle of the Elderly (일부 지역 노인의 건강증진 생활양식에 관한 연구)

  • This study was done describe health promoting lifestyle and to determine affecting factors in elderly based on the health promoting behaviors. The specific purpose of this study was to examine the relationships of life satisfaction, self-esteem and the demographic characteristics to health promoting lifestyle and to determine causal factors affecting the elderly. The subjects were a volunteer sample of 200 elderly in Kyungsan city. The instruments for this study were Health Promoting Lifestyle Profile(47 items), Life Satisfaction Scale(20 items) and Self-Esteem Scale(10 items). Frequency, percentage, t-test, ANOV A, Pearson's correlation coefficient and stepwise multiple regression technique with SAS program were used to analyze the data. The results of the study are as follows; 1) The average item score for the health promoting lifestyle was 3.3; the highest score on the sub scale was self-actualization(M=3.5) with the lowest being exercise(M=2.9) 2) Health promoting lifestyle was significantly different according to marital status and religion. 3) All of the subscales on health promoting lifestyle were positively related to life satisfaction(r=0.534, p〈0.001 and self-esteem(r=0.608, p〈0.001). The life satisfaction was positively related to self-esteem(r=0.593, p〈0.001). 4) Life satisfaction, self-esteem and marital status explained 28.04% of the variance for the total health promoting lifestyle. The results of this study show that life satisfaction, self-esteem and marital status predicted the health promoting lifestyle of the elderly. So health promoting programs that increase life satisfaction and self-esteem should be developed to promote a healthy lifestyle of the elderly.

A Study on Health Promoting Lifestyle among Climacteric Women (일 지역 갱년기 여성의 건강증진생활양식에 관한 연구)

  • This study was done to describe health promoting lifestyle and to identify the factors affecting the performance in health promoting lifestyle among the climacteric women. The subjects of this study were 240 women(40 to 60 years old) The sample data were collected using a purposive sampling method, and collected from August 23 to September 6, 1999. The instruments for his study were a health promoting lifestyle scale, a health locus of control scale, a self-esteem scale and a perceived health status questionnaire. Frequency, percentage, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation and stepwise multiple regression technique with SPSS program were used to analyze the data. The results of the study were as follows ; 1) The average score of performance in the health-promoting lifestyle variables was 166.40. The variable with the highest degree of performance was the sanitary environment , whereas the one with the lowest degree was the professional health maintenance. 2) Performance in the health-promoting lifestyle was positively related to self-esteem, internal health locus of control and negatively related to accidental health locus of control and perceived health status. 3) A significant difference between educational level and health-promoting lifestyle were found. 4) Self-esteem and perceived health status explained 21.0% of the variance for the total health promoting lifestyle. The results of this study show that self-esteem, perceived health status predicted the health promoting lifestyle of the climacteric women. Therefore, health promoting programs that increase self-esteem and perceived health status should be developed to promote a healthy lifestyle of the climacteric women, especially those who have a low level of education.

A study on the advertising effects by internet advertising types and fashion lifestyle (인터넷 광고유형과 패션 라이프스타일에 따른 광고효과 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the dimensions of fashion lifestyle, to examine the relationship between fashion lifestyle and internet advertising effect, and to identify the moderating effect of fashion lifestyle on the relationship between advertising types and advertising effects. Using dependent variables as internet advertising effects(i.e., attitude to advertising, attitude to product, attitude to brand), advertising types (i.e., banner, website e-mail types) and fashion lifestyle were used as independent variables. For the study, a sample of 152 apparel consumers participated in this survey research. The survey of design with a questionnaire was employed. Three types of fashion advertisement were included as banner type, website type, and e-mail type. For each type, two samples were included for the study. Questionnaire was developed with the html language and data collection was done through the internet on October 2000. For data analysis, descriptive statistics(i. e., frequency, percent), factor analysis, reliability analysis, linear regression and ANOVA were used. First, fashion lifestyle was classified with the seven dimensions: personality seeking group, planning purchase group, fashion leader group, fashion information seeking group, media preference group, commonness/traditional group, fashion follower group. Second, fashion lifestyle had signification effects on advertising effects. In the group of fashion lifestyle, fashion Information seeking group and planning purchase group were found to influence on the attitude toward advertising, and planning purchase type was influenced to attitude toward brand and attitude toward product. Third, main effects of fashion lifestyle were found to be significant. The correlation and interaction effects of fashion lifestyle and internet advertisement types were not significant.

A Comparative Study on Clothing Behavior by Lifestyle - Focused on Korean and American women in 30s - (라이프스타일 차이에 따른 의복행동 비교 연구 - 한국과 미국의 30대 여성들을 중심으로 -)

  • The purpose of this study was to offer basic data to global fashion market by surveying differences between lifestyle of women in Korea and America and their clothing behavior with female consumers in 30s in Korea or America with each other cultural background, comparing/analyzing differences between lifestyle and clothing behavior according to Korea and America and making a close inquiry into an effect of lifestyle on clothing behavior. The results of the study were as follows. First, when the study carried out factor analysis of lifestyle, five factors- outward appearance-oriented, leisure-oriented, family-centered, information-oriented and economy- oriented-were deducted. In outward appearance-oriented lifestyle and information-oriented lifestyle, the women in Korea were higher than the women in America. In family-centered lifestyle, the women in America were higher than the women in Korea. Second, when the study carried out factor analysis of clothing behavior, eight factors- aesthetics, indifference, interest, economical feasibility, sympathy, planning, brand-oriented tendency and individuality-were deducted. In interest, sympathy, planning and individuality, the women in Korea were higher than the women in America. On the other hand, in indifference and economical feasibility, the women in America were higher than the women in Korea. Third, in the women in Korea, their lifestyle had an effect on aesthetics, indifference, interest and brand-oriented tendency. Especially, information-oriented lifestyle had an effect on four clothing behaviors. In the Korean women, their outward appearance-oriented and leisure-oriented lifestyles had an effect on only aesthetics, indifference and interest.

Life-styles and Factors Considered for Housing Choices for Two Co-residential Generations (세대간 라이프스타일과 주택선택시 고려요인 비교연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to discover similarities and dissimilarities in life style and other factors for housing choices between two generations living in same household. It will provide knowledge that is helpful in understanding the two generations and develop marketing strategies for houses as a commodity that accommodates the life style of both generations. The data of this study were collected from October to November 2003, using a structured, self-report questionnaire that contains questions on 40 dimensions of life style and 33 items on housing choices. The original respondents consisted of 307 university students and their parents living in Seoul. The ages of the younger generation were limited from ぉ to 29. The final participants in this study included 224 sets of university students and their parents, that is, about 448 respondents. Frequency, percentage, factor analysis, paired t-test and means were used for data analysis. The results show that the life style may be divided into nine sub-types. There were generational differences in If-oriented lifestyle, Conservative lifestyle, As- service self-expression lifestyle, Pragmatic lifestyle, Convenience lifestyle, Self-development lifestyle, and Leisure-oriented lifestyle. Especially in the categories of Convenience lifestyle, If-oriented lifestyle and Positive Self-expression lifestyle, the younger generation ranked higher than their parents. The most important factors in housing choice may be divided into eight sub-categories. Among them are economic factors, housing amenities, housing design, distance from parents and children, social and environmental qualifies, and distance from work place and school. The two generations differed over the importance of the factors. The younger generation particularly valued the factors of distance from parents and children, housing amenities, housing design.
