University lifelong education for the fashion company employees (패션기업 재직자를 위한 평생교육으로서의 패션교육)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the key decision-making variables that lead fashion company employees to participate in the fashion education programs offered by university lifelong education centers. This study also examined the education satisfaction level and preferred education method and evaluated a university lifelong education program by surveying a fashion company employees who completed a fashion education program. As decision making variables, this study included participation purposes, obstacles, and evaluation criteria. While questionnaires were used to identify the decision making variables, education satisfaction level, and preferred education method, focus group interviews were used to evaluate the university lifelong education program. The findings showed that the respondents enrolled in the program mostly because of personal motivations and considered the workload and time limitation as participating obstacles. They considered educational content as the most important evaluation criteria for participating in the program and were highly satisfied with the program they completed. This study suggests how university lifelong education centers may structure their fashion education programs to better appeal to the employees of fashion companies.

Exploring Direction of Lifelong Education in Age of Science and Technology (과학 기술 시대 평생교육 방향 탐색)

  • With the introduction of lifelong education as a component of national educational policies, public support for it has been expanding more than ever before. The purpose of this study is to explore the direction of lifelong education in the era of science and technology. While various factors need to be considered in determining the orientation of lifelong education in the science and technology era, this study primarily focuses on presenting the directions that are aligned with this era. Firstly, lifelong education is necessary as vocational education. Secondly, lifelong education is needed for digital literacy enhancement. Thirdly, lifelong education is crucial from an ecological transition perspective. It is hoped that these three perspectives will be considered significant in shaping the direction of lifelong education in the era of science and technology, and subsequent discussions will delve into how lifelong education can contribute concretely to these aspects.

A Study on the Current Situation and the Operation of Lifelong Education Facilities in University (대학 내 평생교육시설의 현황과 운영에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to clarify the actual condition of the use and the plan of lifelong education facilities in national university of industry. This article discuses about the basic characteristics of the plan composition and the education programs of 8 lifelong education facilities in national university of industry. The results of this study are summarized as follows; 1) Needed spaces should functionally designed considering that basic and culture lecture, occupation skill and expert education, hobby/amusement/leisure, health/sanitation/sports, tradition culture understanding education among education programs of lifelong education facilities in universities are mainly constituted and occupation skill and expert education among theses are occupied with the most ratio. 2) Expansion of facilities is agent considering the number of students and lectures to be 3.6% from 1.7% of average ratio of continuous dimensions lifelong education facilities of each universities and composition following scale of the lecture room is set by organizing the number of students per lecture to small groups.

A Structural Analysis of Adult Learners' Lifelong Education Consciousness, Participation Motivation, Learning Outcome (성인학습자의 평생교육의식, 참여동기, 학습성과에 관한 구조적 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the structural of adult learners' lifelong education consciousness, participation motivation, learning outcome. The subjects were 319 adult learners who participated in the courses of the lifelong learning in 5 districts of Daejeon. The research results are as follows. First, adult learners' consciousness of lifelong education had positive effects on their learning outcome. Second, adult learners' consciousness of lifelong education had positive effects on their participation motivation. Third, participation motivation had positive effects on their learning outcome. Forth, participation motivation had mediating effect between consciousness of lifelong education and learning outcome. Consciousness of lifelong education and participation motivation were verified as factors that affect learning outcome directly. These results can be used to change the consciousness of lifelong education, and to participation motivation potential learners to participate in lifelong learning. Finally this process will improve their learning outcome. The study is meaningful to provide possibility to enlarge participation opportunities for lifelong learning.

Exploratory Research on the Linkage between Lifelong Education for People with Disabilities and Vocational Rehabilitation under the Lifelong Education Act Revised (「평생교육법」 개정에 따른 장애인평생교육과 직업재활 연계방안)

  • This article tried to understand roles of lifelong education for people with disabilities among revised lifelong education act and to search how rehabilitation counselor attend to the area of lifelong education for people with disabilities and connect. And this article reviewed literatures on significance of act revision and carried out FGI with seven experts. The result was as follows as. First, responsibility of nation on lifelong education for people with disabilities was emphasized after act revision and was extended. Second, the roles of national lifelong educational promotion center for people with disabilities was reinforced and extended possibility of attendance and connection. Third, the result of deep interview between experts appeared as necessity of reestablishment about concept. lifelong education support necessity by disability area, restructure and support of work and methods exploration for coexistence. In conclusion, the methods for coexistence are need because vocational rehabilitation and lifelong education for people with disabilities are essential for adults with disabilities.

  • The demand for lifelong education is increasing. Individuals, organizations, and groups are creating an environment where anyone can learn anytime, anywhere while conducting educational and learning activities. The propagation of Christianity in Korea began with education. For churches that own various human and material resources, their functions and roles in the region are more important. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to explore the role and function of church lifelong education in the community to view church lifelong education as a mission tool. It examines the significance of church lifelong education, the biblical basis for church lifelong education, and the history of church lifelong education. It also examines the role of the church in the community and its functional basis for lifelong education. I would like to present the meaning of church lifelong education as a community mission tool. Through the practice of church lifelong education, local residents have a positive perception of the church, and it can be seen that the church provides an opportunity for evangelism. It is now necessary for churches with various advantages to implement lifelong education to revitalize church lifelong education as a missionary tool for local missionary work.

The Priority Analysis on the Lifelong Education Enhancing Plan using AHP (AHP기법을 이용한 평생교육진흥기본계획 수립을 위한 정책 중요도 분석)

  • This paper reports the results of an in-depth study on sensitivity analysis based on promoting activities, the relative importance and priority setting in their sub-elements by AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) method. For this purpose, lifelong education experts, education administrators, lifelong educators from Daejeon lifelong education organizations participated in this Priority Analysis on the Lifelong Education Enhancing Plan using the AHP. The analysis resulted in the relative importance of promoting activities; 1) realizing of lifelong education system oriented by universities, 2) setting up the integrated online and offline lifelong education, 3) strengthening the lifelong education of local universities, 4) offering customized lifelong education by generation and target group, 5) strengthening the lifelong education of local governments, and 6) advancing the quality of lifelong education by focusing on the professionalism and transparency. This suggests that realization of a lifelong education system oriented by universities and the reorganization of an university system for adult learners have greater importance among other tasks and elements in carrying out the 3rd lifelong education enhancing plan.

Research Trends on Lifelong Education Workers: For thesis published in domenstic journals in 2001~2021 (평생교육 종사자에 관한 연구동향: 2001~2021년 국내 학술지 게재 논문을 대상으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the research trends of lifelong education workers, based on research articles related to lifelong education workers published in domestic journals from 2001 to 2021, and to provide basic data for future lifelong education workers research. In order to achieve these research objectives, research trends of 40 research articles related to lifelong education workers published in domestic journals were analyzed by research subject and research method, and the detailed research conclusions are as follows. First, as a result of the analysis by characteristics of researches related to lifelong education workers, it has been continuously increasing since 2001 out of a total of 40 articles by year. From 2001 to 2005, there were 2, 8 from 2006 to 2010, 10 from 2011 to 2015, and 20 from 2016 to 2021. By major publication, there were a total of 20 publications, including 8 Lifelong Education Studies, 5 Lifelong Learning Society, 4 Andragogy Today, and 3 HRD Studies, and 20 articles were published in non-mainstream journals. Second, as a result of the analysis of each study subject, there were 20 lifelong education history, 16 lifelong education managers, and 4 others. Third, as a result of analysis by research method, quantitative research was most used, followed by qualitative research, literature research, and mixed research. In future research, many research topics such as analysis of various policies related to lifelong education workers and exploration of development plans should be carried out.

A Study on the Characteristics of Informatization Education in the Dimension of Lifelong Learning (평생교육차원의 정보화 교육 특성에 관한 연구)

  • In the rapidly changing information age, as the need for Informatization education increases, it is necessary to further activate Informatization education for adults. First, in terms of lifelong learning, this researcher suggested learner analysis, class subject materialization, and lecture environment confirmation as three things to be considered first before the course is opened. And as a matter to be continuously considered in terms of lifelong learning, this researcher considered that the connection with the next quarter class and the continuity of learning opportunities should be considered. This study attempted to reveal the differentiated characteristics of informatization education in terms of lifelong education by presenting and analyzing three actual class cases taught by this researcher at lifelong education institutions. Its characteristics included customized education in the information age, continuous upgrades of equipment, instructor education in response to the information age, and expansion of employment opportunities. Based on the case of information education classes, this study, which analyzed the differentiated characteristics of information education at the lifelong education level, can help improve the quality of instructors and self-development of learners in the actual educational environment. For this, continuous follow-up research will also be needed.
